Rewards will call out if anything is PACS-specific; just ignore those particular rewards. Otherwise you can play it exactly as you would the included storybooks including building your decks out of what you acquire during play. Awesome, that's good to know. I've grabbed 6-1, now I'm excited to play it!
As someone that has been champing at the bit this whole year wanting new PACG content, I've just kind of accepted that there is a real possibility that outside of society play PACG is quite possibly dead. Not only were there no announcements during the two biggest Paizo events (PaizoCon and GenCon), there weren't even hints or implications of something coming down the pipe. We haven't gotten a single add-on deck since Core and Curse shipped. I'm currently trying to find out if there is a "good" way to play the society content without using the society rules (because we just want more content to play) but it sounds like the scenarios are balanced on the "one card upgrade per scenario" and upgrades coming from constrained card pools per character. Might give it a shot anyway.
I ordered the Pathfinder 2E core, PDF and hardcover, and to the best of my knowledge I did elect to have the hardcover side carted. I would have no reason to, the only subscription I have is for the Pathfinder ACG and there is nothing slated to ship for that, so side carting it means I'll just never get it. At this point, I'd like it just cancelled. It took me weeks to realize that the reason it never showed up is because your system side carted it so I'd never receive it.

What about for folks that aren't interested in the Pathfinder ACG organized play? I was really hoping to hear about new content since we haven't gotten anything since the release last year, going to be really bummed if there isn't anything. :(
I pre-ordered the new Pathfinder ACG core and Crimson Throne products because I couldn't tell if my Pathfinder ACG subscription would get me those, now the order has two copies of each, one via my subscription and one via the initial pre-order. Can I have the non-subscription ones removed from the order?
My group had a question about Kasmir's healing ability when he goes Hearthcaller. The ability is: At the end of your explore step, you may discard a card to choose another character at your location to shuffle 1d4 (□+1) random cards from his discard pile into his deck. (□ If the discarded card is a spell, you may attempt its checks to acquire; if you succeed, recharge it instead.) (□ If the discarded card has the Magic trait, you may do the same.) And we weren't sure if the last upgrade("If the discarded card has the Magic trait, you may do the same.") meant he gets to heal as well when using a Magic trait card or that he can do the check to acquire in order to recharge the card. We figured the latter, but contacted the new rules@lonesharkgames.com to see if we could get a clarification. We did! From Chad Brown:
They asked me to go ahead and make a thread here with the question and response for anyone it might help! |
