mmorpg.com had a thread concerning the latest news on PFO. First time I had heard of the game. I love gaming, but work full-time and more, am married, and have six kids between ages 20 years and 10 months. Free time is often fleeting.

Vision - a true sandbox that I can be part of as it grows. Earlier in life I spent a few years in software development and still love the idea of creating a world and being able to do anything inside. I no longer have much interest in the actual work, but am glad to play a game and share my thoughts while others do the hard stuff.

Bonus comment: so far, the community seems top notch. No one in a WoW forum ever used the term 'vestigial'.

Got one! thanks all.

New player looking for an Alpha invite. Pretty, pretty please!

Thanks for all the help guys. I'll scour these boards looking for an invite. Assuming I can get in and mess around, I expect to pony up some dough for the EE package and harass developers about controls soon.

1 : 1000 to play in the alpha, so not really necessary. Especially because you will not have a hard time getting a free invitation, I think. You can always pay 50 bucks, to wait for October, the game will have a few updates then, and you will not be behind everybody else in a significant way.

2 : If you get an alpha invite.

3 : Not for now I think, but only devs can answer that. I completely understand, I am heavily disabled, and a lot of things I ask make no sense to a lot of people.

1. No problem paying the $50/$100, particularly since it includes game time. The $100 will start later in September, right?

2. How do I get my greedy noob hands on one of these suckers?

3. Bleh. I haven't seen an MMO without invert in years until I messed with another big MMO that is releasing right now. A game has to be freakin amazing for me to fight with my mouse while playing.

I just stumbled onto this game today and I'm blown away by the vision. I read over everything on the website and have a couple questions if someone can assist:

1. How do I play? If I understand correctly, it'll cost me a cool $1000 if I want to play today. I doubt my wife and six kids would approve that level of extravagance :) If I wait a couple weeks, it will be $100, correct?

2. Is there any trial/demo/buddy key access so I can give it a whirl before plunking down a large handful of dollars?

3. Please dear God tell me I can invert the mouse Y-axis. I know this makes no sense to many and even some developers, but is a deal-breaker for me.

Thanks!
