"Indeed" interjected professor Kelkin who seemed somewhat excited, "There's this place called Ulthar. If look look here this phrase will send you there. Anyway he was after something called a Chartreux, a young one. Evidently he got more than he bargained for, describing it as the most awful place which scared him for life. This seems strange because as far as we understand a Chartreux is a cat with short slate blue hair, what could be so bad about that?"

It is the early hours of the morning, not long before dawn. A startled professor Kelkin exclaims "Goodness! Most remarkable they all woke up at once. What happened?"

As requested two professors observed from the back of the room. They where initially skeptical, surely this was a load of old superstitious nonsense. As the eldritch powers built they became increasingly engaged and excited, sitting on the front of their seats. Towards the ritual's culmination they became frightened for it was obvious to all this was no mere trifle!

When everyone who took part abruptly slumped unconscious, Gossa remarked. "Oh my! I'm not sure I like the look of this Professor Malliver. I hope they know what they're doing, the dimension of dreams is not place for the uninitiated."

That evening over dinner Professor Kelkin admits, "I'm glad we where able to render assistance to those poor men but I am glad to have my bunk back!"

Professor glanced at the fruit bowl, selected an apple and started polishing it. He took a bite before asking, "Captain, will you stop anywhere between here and the southern Sellen? It's an awful long way to anywhere remotely friendly like Bellis..."

Heinrich's diplomacy
Professor Kelkin stroked his chin as he considered, "Well I was writing a monograph."

Professor Malliver rolled his eyes. Conceding some point you're not privy to, Kelkin sighed, "Well the dreamlands does sound interesting. You have the relevant tomes with you? Mmm ok very good, I'm sure we can come to some arrangement."

The AP states they are professional scholars and expect to be paid. They want 5gp per day if assisting or 100gp per day if primary researcher.

As paying passengers, the scholars where naturally also dinning with the captain. Professor Kelkin glanced at Malliver and asked, "Wasn't Illmarsh originally called Baytown?"

Gossa nodded, "Indeed sir. Indeed. I too had the chance to put pen to parchment, we shall return refreshed and invigorated. Those fools at the Archaeology department shall get their comeuppance for our papers will the talk of the autumn conference!".

Their conversation went on this way for some time, and it was difficult to get a word in edgeways.

"Indeed, welcome." rumbled his portly companion, "I must say we've enjoyed our time in Ustalav. A fine chance to see in person some architecture from the Age of Enthronement. Too bad you didn't find those scrolls pertaining to the Shining Crusade, Malliver..."
