Background:
Zaria was born in Katapesh, daughter of a whore, no surname. She was young, just 5 years old, when her mother died. Due to the immense amount of debt that her mother had accrued, Zaria was sold into slavery and the price she went for going to pay those her mother owed. She chooses to put aside the events that happened during her 6 years of servitude. When she was 11, a priest of Milani, Karich Zarheid, secured her freedom. He told her that she was meant for more than a life in chains.
Karick adopted her into the church and began to teach her. It was not two years later, when the celestial power in her blood began to awaken, and she was recognized not as a normal human but as an aasimar. The Church of Milani indoctrinated her into its fold as one of the faithful, and she began to work her way among the land in an attempt to fight the slavery that is rampant among Golarion’s nations.
Personality:
Though Zaria abores slavery and tyranny, she will not confront it directly, for she knows that is not her strength. The goddess Milani gave her a power for healing the aches and pains of others and alleviating their suffering. She knows that one cannot appreciate freedom without having first suffered the yoke of another's oppressive hand. She prefers to show mercy and compassion to those who seek it but will help any that she can. Zaria knows that she cannot win every fight and will attempt to pick her battles wisely.
