Do actions but the PC and their animal Companion have to be sequential or can they be broken up?

For example, a ranger strides to be adjacent to an enemy, threatening with melee. Could the ranger then Command the animal companion to stride into flanking position and strike, then finish his (the rangers) last 2 actions, striking a now flat-footed enemy?

Hey all!

I can't seem to find the place to get the player certs for the Adventure Path modules for use in Pathfinder Society 2e play.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

Hey all. Thinking of making a multiclass caster for my rogue with Thief racket. Stealthy build with ranged attacks using daggers and starknife for DEX focus.

What is the best caster MC to take and why for this sneaky build?

Thanks in advance for any guidance. :D

Regarding DEX modifier to damage. I could only find the 'Thief' from the Rogue's Racket that gave this ability.

Quote from Thief excerpt: When you attack with a finesse melee weapon, you can add your Dexterity modifier to damage rolls instead of your Strength modifier.

I get it for weapons like Dagger, Shortsword and Rapier. It certainly does NOT apply to bows.

However, would it apply to a Dagger or Starknife if thrown? Meaning, would a thrown Starknife (which is a finesse melee weapon) get DEX modifier to hit AND damage?

Lastly, can Dex mod to damage be achieved anywhere else or just from rogue's racket thief ability?

So, a Starfinder Backpack (Armory, pg. 116) states the following:

While wearing a Starfinder backpack, treat your Strength score as 4 higher for determining your carrying capacity. This increase doesn’t stack with other backpacks. When you seek an object stowed in the backpack, you find it immediately, allowing you to retrieve the object as if you were drawing a weapon. In addition, you can stow objects of 1 bulk or less in the pack as if you were sheathing a weapon.

Specifically, I am calling out the reference to this: as if you were drawing a weapon.

Next, look at the Quick Draw feat (CRB). It states this:

You can draw a weapon as a swift action. Additionally, when making an attack using a thrown weapon as an attack or full attack action, you can draw a weapon as part of the action of making a thrown attack with it. You can draw a hidden weapon (see Sleight of Hand on page 146) as a move action.

It begs the question - can a character with Quick Draw retrieve an object from the Starfinder Backpack as a swift action?

Simple question - if an operative uses a venom spur, is it considered a melee weapon with the operative special property for trick attack purposes?

Pretty sure the answer is no, but wanted to know if there is any supporting information at this time.

So, as characters we go around and find stuff. We can then only sell for 10% of value.

Yet...we can't buy 'used' stuff at a discount.

Now, in a home campaign you may do things differently, but in SFS, these are the rules.

A funny module would be to find out a corp was taking all of this gear and reselling as 'new' at full price! The scandal!

Seriously, I want to create a new character class called a merchant. All gear costs only 10% of value. :P

I was considering starting a soldier as a secondary character.

I am underwhelmed with the choices.

If I was to take Skill Synergy and add 2 additional skills as class skills, what would you recommend and why?

Bear in mind Char, Int and Wis are likely to have no bonus (or +1 at best) for a while.

OR, should I just accept that the soldier will be a combat-focused character and leave the skills to the rest of the team and not pick up Skill Synergy?

At 2nd level, the Operative can select Alien Archive as an exploit:

Alien Archive (Ex)
Your vast experience makes identifying new creatures
easier for you. Double your operative’s edge bonus to your
skill checks when identifying a creature and its abilities.

If you successfully identify a creature, you gain a +2
enhancement bonus to your skill check when you make a
trick attack against that creature.

---------------------------------------

So my question is this - can I use this for EVERY trick attack? Meaning, can I identify a creature that I already know, like a human or vesk, and get the +2 bonus?
