Gooch gathers his gear and readies himself to move on. He continues to keep some distance between he and Hilde. It was not because he held her in contempt, but he could sense he had not yet earned her trust.

Gooch keeps others between he and Hilde as she glares at him. Responding to Iskender, "Yes. I have heard of those places. I have never been out of Numeria to my recollection." Looking over at the barbarian. "I healed some of your wounds. I do not remember how I got this tattoo if that is what you mean by me being different from you." He points to the metallic tribal tattoo on his head. "As a matter of fact, I do not know much of my early life. But...I am no threat. I am as lost and confused as you all are."

The lighthearted Kit calms Gooch's nerves quite a bit. To him, "As you have just seen, I can heal. I have experience in battle and possess magical power are you saw with the barbarian..."

Gooch lightly touches the Barbarian to avoid waking her and releases healing magic.

Then turns to Kit. "It is nice to meet you, Kit. May I heal your wounds?"

Hilde should wake as I am healing Kit.

He cautiously moves over while she is asleep and checks her.

Feeling threatened by the barabarian, Gooch moves a step away from the woman and speaks words of power. The tattoo on his head glows slightly as he points at the lady. "Sleep." DC 15 Will or fall asleep. "She is crazy! Get her away from me. I mean you know harm. I am normal...just like you."

If anyone senses motive, he completely believes he is human. He is in shock at the treatment he is receiving.

Gooch continues to sit and look around, obviously confused. "I am Gooch. I'm from Numeria. No one answered me...Where are we?"

Gooch woke up shortly after the female half elf. He rubbed his head, remembering the shot he had taken. As his vision slowly cleared, he noticed the figures standing over him.

Somewhere else... The words echoed in Gooch's head as he began to look around the room. It was like nothing he had seen before. What were the walls made of? It wasn't stone or wood...the weird thing was that the room seemed eerily familiar...like from a dream.

Sitting up, "Where am I? Who are you?"

First attempt at a backstory. Please let me know what you think.

Backstory:

Octavius Guchni was born to a wealthy family of master clockworkers in the Shadow Zones. His Father, Flavius, served on the Geargiver’s council. Due to this, he was schooled well and had high expectations placed upon him. He excelled at the magical arts of healing and dark magic. When the young Auttaine reached early adulthood, he was chosen to take part in a galactic exploration mission. The group was sent to find new planets where there could be rich sources of minerals to mine for further cybergenic research.

Octavius was popular among his shipmates, who nicknamed him Gooch. They spent their first two years planet hoping before finally arriving on a new planet in an area called Numeria. The land was rich in resources and the group soon set up a mining camp. One night, the camp was raided by barbarians. The majority of the explorers were killed. Gooch was beaten badly and suffered a severe concussion. It would take over a week for the Auttaine to be nursed to health by one of the barbarian tribeswomen. Her name was Kravec and she was a beautiful human.

Octavius woke to meet Kravec, who had spared his life and claimed him as her servant. It was the only way to save his life from the tribe. The concussion had caused amnesia. Gooch knew nothing of his former life. The only clue was his nickname stitched into the jacket that he wore. Octavius soon earned the respect of many of the tribesmen. Over time, he assimilated into their society. His relationship with Kravec grew and the two were married. It was not long before Gooch was collecting minerals and raiding merchant caravans with his Tiger Lord "family". Life was good for those few years. It was the only life he had known, since he had no memory of the past. He often wondered about his previous life, but the only remembrance of it was in dreams that were often turned into nightmares.

One night, Gooch was with a group exploring a local cave for minerals, which the tribe would eventually trade in Starfell. His group fell to an enemy…one like he had never remembered seeing before. The last thing he saw was his companions, who he prided himself on protecting, dying one by one…then there was complete darkness…

Appearance:

In all appearances, Gooch looks like a healthy human male. The only exception is what looks like a metallic tribal tattoo on the right side of his head and face, spanning from his jaw to the occiput of his skull. Many have questioned the technique behind the tattooing as well as the material used, but he has no recollection of it. In actuality, it is nanites that the Auttaine hedgewitch was born with.

Gooch stands six feet tall and weighs approximately 190 pounds. He keeps his hair shaved neatly. He is dark complected and constantly has a five o'clock shadow. His left eye is a dazzling emerald green, but his right eye is dark with a hint of red. He attributes the color to a concussion he received in Numeria, but it is actually a part of his cybergenic inheritance. The eye is mechanical and aides him in perception. He has several scars on his face and neck. He also has a compartment in his chest that he is currently unaware of.

Personality:

Gooch's best attribute is loyalty to his friends. He takes pride in protecting and healing those he travels and lives with. He is warm and friendly to those he knows, but also has a serious side. He takes his mission to heart and can often be barbaric when attacked or challenged by an enemy. He enjoys laughter and meals/drinks with friends, especially after finishing a mission together. He can sometimes be clueless to verbal expressions and tones. He attributes this to the concussion as well as his limited exposure to people outside his barbarian tribe and the merchants in Numeria.

I was thinking a mithral +1 buckler for 2015gp (same price as a magic weapon)? Maybe I could flavor it as an addition to my technology for fun. It wouldn't change the function at all.

I need to add a trait. I will work on his background, personality, and appearance this weekend! I may send you some PMs with questions since I do not really know much about the other planets. I do plan to have amnesia to be on a level playing field with the current characters as far as knowledge of what is going on. The only difference will be knowing the planetary languages.


Here is my submission: Auttaine Hedge Witch 3. I think he will be a perfect addition to the group: healer, debuffer, arcane damage. I am working on the physical description and backstory. He will be a loyal team player. I plan to start him with amnesia, so he is as clueless as the current group on where he is (though he will know the two planetary languages). How much wealth should he start with?

By the way, I have read the past 15 gameplay pages and I love the game/characters! I am new to Legendary Planet and Spheres of Power, so you will have to bear with me as I learn. I hope you like the character. Thanks for the opportunity to apply. ~Eminem80
