I dont think my bard would fit in skilled better cause he is kind of a jack of trades kind of guy, pretty skilled goign for more of a Buffer type char then a dmg dealer

Not to speak for you Gnick Gnak, but Jiraiya, I believe the DM is asking what specifically about your character's background makes it imperative that you play an aasimar, as opposed to a humanoid from the Core Rulebook.

Submitting Golmar Almarch, Human Fighter 1. Nothing flashy, meat and potatoes style fighter. Not optimized for roll-play, but is built to role-play.
