for inner sea campaign information a good place to look is the Inner Sea World Guide and this site PathfinderWiki For rules theres the PRD and the SRD If youre new to rpgs in general id suggest picking up one of the free modules in the paizo store, with a little work you can tailor it to any area you want to set the campaign in. also check out youtube for rpg related videos, there is a huge community there that discuss and give tips on rpgs in general.
very cool, im tuning in right now. cant wait to see how it goes. linked for you
Theres always the pathfinderwiki, id link it but its hard to do on this device. Its pretty much the go to database for golarion info. The reason there isnt alot of information in the core rule book is paizo made the rules line pretty setting neutral, all the info on golarion can be found in various companion supplements.
I love kobolds way more than goblins, which is why i wish paizo would have put them at least closer to the other small races in power level. They have 5rp and most of those are tied into skills that are less than optimal for pcs, trapmaking and mining. Goblins are definitely mechanically superior, but i would still pick kobolds everytime. PF goblins set my teeth on edge.
Actually with twitch you can do both, record it on Twitch and it gives you an option to then upload it to youtube. The only problem is when you do that its limited to 2 hour chunks. If you take a break around that mark and start a new recording theres no problem or you could break up a 4-5 hour session by making highlights then uploading to youtube.
Ok so my online group decided to play PFS when someone couldn't make the regular session. We have played a total of 1 PFS session, First steps part 1 in July. I went to set up the event for part 2 tonight and it says 2 and 3 are retired, i found out this was due to 2 factions disappearing. my question is this i suppose, what do i do with their completed part 1 characters? do i just count it as a normal scenario now and how does the xp and gold from part 1 affect their future sheets? a quick answer would be great, we're scheduled to start in about an hour :/
Ive kind of been kicking the idea around of using the kingmaker rules for a thieves guild building campaign.
Well there is TheTangledWeb.net which ive used before to find online games. There seems to be a bit of a pbp trend going on atm but you can still find VTT games pretty regularly. Honestly the easiest way to get a group going is to gm yourself. If you post here or there that youre going to run the game you will have more people than you know what to do with within a day or two.
i'm currently designing a halfling rogue(original, i know)and I am looking for information on Thamir Gixx, the halfling god of greed and opportunity. i have Gods and Magic but it only has about a paragraph on him. Basically he has ties to Norgorber and most halflings dont like to talk to him. any other sources you know of that i can get some more information on him?
wow some serious hostility going on in this thread. Personally I use 3pp for campaign building resources rather than even more classes. I feel there are too many redundant classes already, but some people enjoy even more classes and that's fine. Some of the publishers and their products I like are
Purple Duck Games' Gods of Porphyra is an open content deities book (very much appreciated). Pathfinder gods are fine but its nice to mix it up a bit. If i was to add psionics I would immediately go with Dreamscarred. I've read them on the SRD and it looks great. Sure some 3pp aren't very good, but there are plenty that take pride in their products. Its like comparing some generic store brand root beer to an ice cold delicious A&W
Good topic also a difficult one. I have a bunch but i listern to 3 more than any others. The Cure, because its the Cure
So after watching a few video series on youtube i decided to make my own dungeon tiles. the materials are cheap and once you get it down it takes very little time. basically you need a hot glue gun some acrylic paint and cardboard. after the initial purchase it was about $50 for materials, glue gun sticks, paint and a few other things. now i just have to buy more paint so the price per tile will drop significantly. plus cardboard is basically free :) im pretty pleased with the way they came out so i thought i would share. the links to the channels i got the techniques from are linked in the video. |
