So I'm working on a challenge with a DM friend of mine and he needs a party built. 8 characters, each a tribesman of a barbarian tribe his players will be meeting. Each character should be unique, and have their own feel or "vibe" to them. None of them are set in stone "crunch-wise" and he's asked me to see what petiole come up with for an all-barbarian-themed 8 man party of characters. The only stipulations are the following:
I really look forward to setting what people come up with for this party, and what people think of when they think tribal. Any questions feel free to ask.
I'm looking to make and assassin themed character. Highly mobile, highly efficient, and a master with his twin daggers(one the black blade, the other a force athame)... Not I've been contemplating how best to build him. The dual archetype is my primary class, but I'm willing to dip others, even fairly substantial dips, if they fit the theme and give him that efficient killer optimization. Ninja? Knifemaster? Monk? Ranger? Race has not been selected at all yet, do I'm wide open for the best suggestion to pull this off. I'd considered elf, but I'm willing to play just about anything for this character. He was raised in an assassins guild/temple from an extremely young age.
I'm wanting to play a tiefling paladin in an upcoming game, and need help building the character. We're starting at 10th level, and the only things I've settled on for the character are wanting him to be a "castigator" build, aka two-handed weapon wielder and of the Pitborn heritage(+2 Str, +2 Cha is just too nice to pass). I wasn't him to be large, strong, deadly, and intimidating. A no-nonsense, smite-evil destroyer of what is unholy. For those who play warhammer, think Uber-puritan inquisitor, and for those who really know warhammer, think Karamazov. "a plea of innocence is guilty of wasting my time." I'd prefer to use a greatsword, but I'm open to other weapon options if they're in keeping with the theme of a holy warrior. I've not looked to close at the feats available to the tiefling in their book, but if any would be beneficial, I'm open to ideas. Thanks in advance!
As I believe I'm reading this correctly, and that it basically only really amounts to being armor that doesn't slow you, and that you don't get to use the special attacks nor abilities of the construct. Is there anything that says you can't "ride" a construct/golem as a mount for your caster? I really like the idea of a clockwork "battlesuit" for my character, an alchemist/metal school wizard, but I'm not sure if construct armor is the way to go. I'd like to be able to use the golem(whichever I choose) as a suit, or even just be harnessed onto it, and retain it's abilities. Not sure if it matters in any way, but the character is a human, with the eventual goal being lichdom if I can pull it off.
I have a big, brutish, yet surprisingly charismatic half orc inquisitor/hellknight who has two good friends he's made, a female half orc scarred witch doctor and a goblin firebomber, and I was wondering if there was any way to get two cohorts using leadership? Have I missed something that allows this by RAW?
I've always loved the idea of playing a barbaric version of a paladin, a tribal holy warrior type character, who upholds the laws of his tribe and dishes out punishment with brutal ferocity and mystical prowess. The idea of a barbarian, marching fourth to battle clad in armor festooned with tokens and fetishes, carrying a large weapon, and chanting curses while calling forth the holy rage to smite his tribes enemies, has always appealed to me. With that in mind, I'm looking for what would be the best way to build this character at 16th level. Barbarian is an obvious choice, though I'm unsure which archetypes would got best, if any. As for the mystical side, I'm leaning towards oracle, but are there any other options that would make for a good gish build like this? A friend mentioned an orc witch archetype, but I haven't had a chance to look at it. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks in advance!
I've got an upcoming campaign with some friends and a new DM, who unlike our previous DM who did not allow anything more that the core books, is allowing most things. So, that said, I've always wanted to play a goblin character. I've also always wanted to play an Assassins Creed themed character. We sat down and hashed out concepts of our characters, how they know each other, and other such things. No "you're in a tavern, and X happens" beginning for us. So with that in mind, the other three characters in our party are a female human witch with a penchant for cursing others and uses her hair as an occasional weapon. An elf make ranger/rogue who is an archer and has a large dog. And the final member is a cleric/paladin of Iomadae who took the goblin under his wing. Some more on that, Gitsnik was raised in an orphanage under the care of clerics of Iomadae, and because of his small size, natural skill at stealth, and general speed and agility, was trained to root out the heretical. An inquisitor, an informant, and assassin, he became a judge, jury and executioner. He's a dual wielder, using twin hidden blades, as well as a pistol on occasion. My problem now, is that we're starting at 15th level, and I'm rubbish at building characters. So is anyone out there willing to help me build this? I was thinking an inquisitor/rogue or inquisitor/ninja combo, possibly with a dip in gunslinger, but I'm open to just about any effective inquisitor assassin builds. |
