I recently opted to play a 5-9 game with a pregen, because I felt my paladin lvl 6 might risk an atonement if I role played my char through the scenario. I was told by the DM that I could not appy the chronicle to my paladin when he reached lvl 7 because I had a character that could play the scenario and that I could only apply the credit to a lvl 1. I did not agree with the interpretation but I didn't want to hold up the game while trying to get clarification or arguing the issue.
So question, is this true and if so this seems to nullify a lot of people from applying credit to higher level characters if they have multiple char. At different levels., they only ever be Able to apply them to lvl 1's
Where are the stories of the Knights, Paladins, Cavaliers? How about a storyline similar to (Dragonlance-Knights of Solamnia)? There is plenty of intrigue to be played out when you mix religiion and politics, not to mention you throw in different races all vying for power. An Age old story.
Raheli hears from Radovan that they need to head out from the warehouse. She agrees, although more because there's nothing worth confiscating there.
She heads out with him, noticing that on top of Vizier's Hill there is a Shock Elemental sneaking up on Seltyiel.
Move check, Int 5:1d8 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3 move to Dye Market/Dilapidated Plaza/Glass Pavilion/Vizier's Hill/Precinct of Left Eyes/Smoking Den:1d6 ⇒ 1 -> Dye Market
She tries to make it there to warn him, but gets turned around. After ending up in a dead end in a dye shop, she consults her Compass, and moves to Vizier's Hill.
She sprints up the hill, and attacks the elemental from behind.
Combat 9, recharging a card to use dex+1d8, recharging 1 item for +1d4:1d10 + 2 + 1d8 + 1d4 ⇒ (3) + 2 + (3) + (1) = 9
She narrowly defeats the monster.
(Discarding Apprentice to explore)
She tries to meet up with Seltyiel at the summit, but missteps, and is caught on some Collapsing Scaffolding! Still winded from her run up the hill, she flails and grasps for a ledge.
Dex 4:1d10 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7 Dex 7:1d10 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
She succeeds, swinging herself among the collapsing platforms by her prehensile hair, and landing with a flourish. She thinks she might be getting the hang of this adventuring thing!

Raheli continues wandering through the Howling Sands. She wonders if running off was the wisest decision, but she hopes it will help distract the slavers from their mission.
Unfortunately, she stumbles into a Poison Spiked Pit Trap! The trap is decrepit and half-broken, but in the flying sand she fails to make it out until she is teetering on the edge. She frantically tries to grapple the edge with her arms and hair...
Dex 11, recharging 1 item to add 1d4:1d10 + 1 + 1d4 ⇒ (9) + 1 + (4) = 14
Thankfully, she stops her fall. She steadies herself, and looks around, to see if she is being followed. (Free explore from barrier)
She notices an ancient spell scroll (Augury) on the floor of the pit. She thinks she can reach it, but is the writing still legible?
Arcane 6:1d8 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
It is! This could prove most useful, as there are clearly dangers all around. She checks her Compass and sets off from the pit.
She sees what looks like a lone traveler, hunkered down on a path, waiting out the winds. She approaches cautiously. He introduces himself as an Embalmer, heading towards Okeno, as they frequently have need for his trade. Raheli wonders if he is trustworthy.
Charisma 5:1d6 ⇒ 5
It seems he is, and he advises her on the quickest path back towards the sea. She thanks him in the name of all Pathfinders.
(Explore via Embalmer) Hearing that she is with the Pathfinders, his eyes light up, and he offers her a Frost Staff, promising a very reasonable price!
Arcane 6:1d8 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
In her haste, Raheli decides it is not worth taking the time to haggle.
She prepares to set off, just pausing to cast Cure. She channels divine energy through the poppet she carries, and heals herself.
Healed:1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 Card healed:1d4 ⇒ 4 Card healed:1d3 ⇒ 3 Cure Recharge Divine 8:1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
The embalmer looks with curiosity and greed at the poppet and the other items in Raheli's pack, but does not follow her when she sets off, back into the whirling sands.

Redgar, welcome to organized play! This is my first play-by-post but OP is tons of fun. My wife and I play regularly with Kiya and Myr. I love having a character grow and evolve as they proceed through a continuous narrative. OP has some nitpicky rules about progression but it also brings some cool character enhancement features.
zeroth_hour, I'm not familiar with all the characters you mentioned, but I'm running Alase in a campaign, and I love her utility. With a few power feats, she can scout a ton of cards each turn, and she's also a Blessing machine gun when she follows other characters around. Tonbarse scales well for combat too.
These seem awesome, a great enhancement to the origina class decks, a fun addition to new decks, and new characters besides. Win-win-win!
However, I'm really frustrated to see a "unlock" mechanic required in order to use these in organized play with other class decks.
I can see how unlocking a character can seem like a reward or a treasure hunt. But, as currently implemented, unlocking a character is a major time investment. Right now, to play certain characters, you need to put in a ton of time playing another character or season you may not even like.
If one of the purposes of these addons is to fix the original class decks, why not just let people use them for that purpose? Why do I have to jump through a hoop to use them and make characters I love more viable?
