M Half-Orc Rogue 1
Gnosh sets down the sack of goods, digs in, and produces a rope, some pitons, and a hammer. "I'm in favor of going in in darkness, myself, but I understand if you all think that trying to blind them makes more sense." Initiative Morning 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19

Gnosh steps into the middle of the line as the party trots down to follow the Tengu. The bag of gear slung over his shoulder clanks and clatters as he moves along, and he grimaces at all the noise he is making. Perception 11d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
Initiative 11d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

Now on Obsidian Portal under login Gnoshferhul. Gnosh learned that going after artifacts to thumb his nose at the Scions only gets him a cold thumb and nose. Gnosh crouches and tries to follow the tengu's trail back to the heights and get a sense of where the group had originated. "Maybe a good place to check before following 'em forward." Take 20 + 4 = 24 Perception to look back towards the mountain and find a point of origin.

Gnosh flings out his bedroll and says, "I'll take third watch. See you in the morning," and slumps over, huddled in blankets, dreaming of nothing but ice and snow. Perception rolls for 3rd watch:

Gnosh grunts at the thought of another hour of trudging in the cold, but steps forward. "Come on, let's just get there, then. Gonna have to leave here, anyway." I'd rather hold off on duties myself for a bit. In the middle of a job search, and a possible 2 week vacation at the beginning of August.

Hellefire wrote: {ooc}Gnosh, actually to get a fumble here you need to roll two natural 1s in a row, so it wasn't a fumble at all. Yes, in my tabletop game you would have lopped off Fubar's head or your own foot and bled to death with the following roll of 6, so double damage. Nice roll on damage there :). But in this case, it isn't a fumble - and one of the reason I am adding the extra roll to 'verify' the fumble. Ah, understood! On the same page now.

Critical Hit/Fumble rules look fine to me. Always good to know there's a chance of cutting off my own head. If you want it to apply for that one:

Gnosh puts away his falchion, steps up and takes hold of the sack after Sioned removes the bedroll and blanket, grunting as he slings it over his shoulder. "Gonna drop this at the first sign of trouble. Hope no one minds a wet tent." He looks over at Caydee. "You want to take care of these wolves? Those pelts could be mighty warm in the colder parts of the mountain."

Gnosh steps over and picks up the other tent, putting the loose bits in his sack and using the poles to hold it over his shoulder. "Fair weight, that... But it'll go in the snow at first sign of trouble. Hope no one minds their tent being a touch damp." He looks around at the group, nods, and steps in place a bit behind Caydee. In terms of marching order: While outside, Gnosh will take a place somewhere in the middle of the group and have a hand on a dagger. When indoors, he will move further up to help scan for traps.

Gnosh gives Tully a wink and a smile, "I'll see to it. Be back soon, with coin!" He catches up to the others outside the Scion's tower as quickly as possible. When he sees the gear that Sioned brings from the Rectors house, he grunts in surprise. "Good haul, there. Looks like it was still packed from the last expedition." He divides the rations he got from Tully into the sacks from the Rector's house, then picks up one of the smaller sacks. Looking at the fur-lined cloak, he shrugs it over his shoulders on top of the one he is already wearing. Grunting under the weight of the sack, he shakes his head at the weight, then sets it down and looks at the others. "How long until dawn? We could set out then or now, if it will be close enough."
M Half-Orc Rogue 1
Gnosh heads back to the Bearded Elf to see if Tully is still awake. If so, he procures 4 days of trail rations for each party member, claiming that the Rector will see to the bill in return for the group returning what was stolen from him. He heads up to his room to secure his pack and bedroll. Bluff check: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11

As Gnosh catches up, he calls out, "No doubt it'll be a far haul to get there. Look, I understand: your townsfolk fell, and you want to avenge 'em. It's a harsh world, to be sure, but it'll be for naught if we die in the mountains as well. Now, I'm willing to help because I think the Rector will show his appreciation monetarily, and far be it from me to doubt your tracking skills, miss," he states to Caydee, "but I hope you know these mountains better than your own hands."

Depositing the Tengu at the feet of a pair of Scions, who quickly take over custody, Gnosh turns around and follows, swinging past the Bearded Elf to grab his gear. Taking a minute to buckle on his armor and throw a warm cloak over his shoulders, he heads out into the dark in the direction Sioned indicated, hoping his speed will help him catch up.

Gnosh Ferhul came in as part of a caravan shortly before the snowstorm hit, hired on as extra muscle for the trip to Camlin. With little desire to fight the snows on his return south, Gnosh remained in Camlin, trading in his southern clothes for good winter gear and slowly drinking away his caravan wagesGnosh has been living off of the parties for the last couple days, trying to find work for the winter. A heavily bundled shape steps away from the bucket brigade towards Caydee and the restrained Tengu. Crouching down next to her, Gnosh gives Caydee a curt nod before leaning in close to the Tengu's ear to whisper a quiet combination of insults, curses and - mostly - threats, trying to get the creature to reveal where his friends would be heading. Profile completed, though whether the elf and half-elves want to adventure with two more half-orcs will be an interesting discussion : ). Also happy to GM later on, once I get a firmer grasp of how the group interacts. Posting ability is fluid, at the moment.
