HP 8/8, AC 15, Fort +0, Ref +2, Will +2, Perception +5, Blindsense 30'
Finally got Spectrum's familiar statted out. Here's the alias. The full stats are in Spectrum's sheet.
Glimmer is an Ioun Wyrd with the School Familiar and Protector archetypes, so basically she's going to behave like a particularly cool Ioun stone. She fires rays of frost and can give AC bonuses.
The only thing of note that I need the GM to be aware of is that Glimmer has Blindsense 30, which combined with Empathic Link gives Spectrum something of a "danger sense." Blindsense is basically the ultimate trump card vs stealth and invisibility, so if anyone is hiding within 30', Glimmer can alert Spectrum to that. Later, once Spectrum picks up Speak With Master, Glimmer will be able to provide more details than just general feelings.

HP 8/8, AC 15, Fort +0, Ref +2, Will +2, Perception +5, Blindsense 30'
Spectrum says we should try to take the dog-guy alive. Glimmer said telepathically to the group.
HP 8/8, AC 15, Fort +0, Ref +2, Will +2, Perception +5, Blindsense 30'
Glimmer followed the cat, healing it again.
Take 10 UMD

How damaged is the cat?
HP 8/8, AC 15, Fort +0, Ref +2, Will +2, Perception +5, Blindsense 30'

HP 8/8, AC 15, Fort +0, Ref +2, Will +2, Perception +5, Blindsense 30'
The pseudo dragons were thankfully engaged in telepathic conversation, so no one besides Array and Gwen had to listen to Glimmer's colorful and not always accurate account of what had happened on their journey so far, describing Sandpoint and their adventures in somewhat schizophrenic detail, with only the loosest grasp of a liner timeline.
Array was mostly silent, joining in only to correct the most egregious flaws before Glimmer continued with her stream-of-consciousness narrative. She never even had to draw breath.
HP 8/8, AC 15, Fort +0, Ref +2, Will +2, Perception +5, Blindsense 30'
The other two dragons launch themselves into the air in response to the newcomer to engage in a circling and swooping bit of investigative greeting.
One was white with transparent prism-like wings. She was almost obnoxiously outgoing and full of headstrong curiosity.
Hi! I'm Glimmer!
HP 8/8, AC 15, Fort +0, Ref +2, Will +2, Perception +5, Blindsense 30'
Why did you taste her hand?
HP 8/8, AC 15, Fort +0, Ref +2, Will +2, Perception +5, Blindsense 30'
The whole story seems way more interesting when you tell it, Wyam. Glimmer said with her head tilted to the side. I was there, and mostly I just remember being confused and someone always being about to die. Except Chaise. He really did die. Oh, and Kejal! She died too. I'm glad they got better.
HP 8/8, AC 15, Fort +0, Ref +2, Will +2, Perception +5, Blindsense 30'
Alright. she replied. I still want to know what a Knife Ear is though. I don't think having knives for ears would be very useful. Unless they're like horns. Horns can be useful sometimes.
HP 8/8, AC 15, Fort +0, Ref +2, Will +2, Perception +5, Blindsense 30'
i think you misread. Glimmer flew down and landed on spectrum's shoulder.
HP 8/8, AC 15, Fort +0, Ref +2, Will +2, Perception +5, Blindsense 30'
Glimmer liked her perch, but she quickly became bored, and she also didn't like being looked at by so many people she did not know. Flustered, she flew down and landed on Spectrum's shoulder.
In the days leading up to the Mayor's dinner, both dragons had molted. Where Array had darkened, Glimmer had become lighter in shade, and her scales even more reflective. Her pattern seemed to shift based on her mood and the lighting now, and her wings were nearly transparent but caught the light like prisms.
"What's a Kinfe Ear, Sir Barnarsby? she asked telepathically.
Everyone within sixty feet heard her in thier minds.
HP 8/8, AC 15, Fort +0, Ref +2, Will +2, Perception +5, Blindsense 30'
Smells yummy though! Glimmer added, eyeing the feast tables.
HP 8/8, AC 15, Fort +0, Ref +2, Will +2, Perception +5, Blindsense 30'
Ok, the new improved Glimmer is done.
Doing skills for a familiar is more complex than I remembered it being.
HP 8/8, AC 15, Fort +0, Ref +2, Will +2, Perception +5, Blindsense 30'
Glimmer flew up to where Array was, high above watching.
Did you see me!? Well, no, I guess you didn't since I was invisible most of the time, but did you see? I helped, and I saved that Barty guy, and I saved Kejal too! Well, for a little bit. She got stabbed again.
How come you weren't down there too?
HP 8/8, AC 15, Fort +0, Ref +2, Will +2, Perception +5, Blindsense 30'
Glimmer hadn't gone far, so she banked and flew to heal the weird guy Isme was indicating.
While flying, Glimmer draws a Potion of Cure Moderate Wounds. She's still holding the Cure Light wand in her other hand. Or maybe her tail.
Hey Barty! Hold on, you're going to feel better pretty quick.
Take 10 on CMD
Cure Light Wounds: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Once she'd touched him with the wand, she dropped the potion on his chest. It appeared once it fell from her claws and wasn't subject to the invisibility spell Glimmer was still under the effects of.
Drink that!
HP 8/8, AC 15, Fort +0, Ref +2, Will +2, Perception +5, Blindsense 30'
Glimmer flew back to Kejal and touched her with a wand to heal her some more.
Cure Light Wounds: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
HP 8/8, AC 15, Fort +0, Ref +2, Will +2, Perception +5, Blindsense 30'
HP 8/8, AC 15, Fort +0, Ref +2, Will +2, Perception +5, Blindsense 30'
Oops!
Cure Serious: 3d8 + 5 ⇒ (2, 4, 8) + 5 = 19
HP 8/8, AC 15, Fort +0, Ref +2, Will +2, Perception +5, Blindsense 30'
Glimmer jetted down to where Kejal lay crumpled on the ground, more falling than flying, landing on the woman's chest and drawing two vials.
Move action, move to Kejal. Swift action, retrieve potion from itty bitty wrist sheathe. Standard action, apply Oil of Cure Serious Wounds.
HP 8/8, AC 15, Fort +0, Ref +2, Will +2, Perception +5, Blindsense 30'
I am a SHE, thank you very much.
The Lamia is over here! Glimmer said in a telepathic shout to the others. The side of the tower! Right on the other side from Spectrum!
HP 8/8, AC 15, Fort +0, Ref +2, Will +2, Perception +5, Blindsense 30'
The little dragon winked out of sight and started circling the clock tower.
HP 8/8, AC 15, Fort +0, Ref +2, Will +2, Perception +5, Blindsense 30'
...she's gone! I can't find her.
HP 8/8, AC 15, Fort +0, Ref +2, Will +2, Perception +5, Blindsense 30'
GM, I'm completely willing to go with your ruling, but I need to know what your house rules are regarding Blindsense.
Normally, a creature with Blindsense can pinpoint the square of an invisible creature within their range, but still has a 50% miss chance against them.
How do you work it?
HP 8/8, AC 15, Fort +0, Ref +2, Will +2, Perception +5, Blindsense 30'
Every ruling I've seen has said blindsense trumps invisibility within it's range.
Is there some other ability at play here? Or am I misinterpreting something about how these abilities interact?
HP 8/8, AC 15, Fort +0, Ref +2, Will +2, Perception +5, Blindsense 30'
Pseudodragons have 60' Blindsense. She should be able to tell which square the Lamia is in.
Um, she's right... over...
