Glenrenil points to a mite and says "Go get him Rook."Rook runs in a semicircle to come at the back of the mite. Moves five feet to B7, then diagonally to D9, then five feet to E9, and lastly five feet to E8, Then he attacks the mite viciously from behind.

Rook's Bite Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
Rook's Bite Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8

Glenrenil then readies her bow and fires at one of the mites entangled. F12

Glenrenil's bow attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Glenrenil's bow damage: 1d8 ⇒ 3

Initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

Awakened from a blissful dream Glenrenil stands and takes but a moment to take in her surrounding. Seeing the mites approaching she shouts. "Do not move to engage the other mites. I am entangling them." With that she holds forth her holly and speaks to it in druidic pointing to where she would like the Green to act, and it is so.

Hoping for more information, Glenrenil dismounts, puts away her bow, and approaches Fluene. "What do you mean "delicate situation", Do they have an agreement with the bandits there?

Glenrenil admires Vladimir's ability to take the lead. Had she approached the man in such a situation, she would be tripping over her tongue, trying to explain the groups desires. And he even did as she would have, to offer a trade of knowledge. Perhaps the first steps towards an alliance.

All this runs through her mind as she smiles prettily, hoping her bow and arrow are not to menacing.

"I do not see any real danger. I just decided to ere on the side of cation. We should remain mounted until there is a true threat."

Knowledge(geography): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22

Glenrenil notices some arrows that had been fired from the trail they were following. Distance shots. Maybe they where hunting from the wagon. But what were they hunting? Maybe they were trying to protect themselves. Maybe a beast. Maybe bandits. Should I tell them to be cautious? They all seem so happy right now. I don't want to spoil the mood. Oh well, better safe then sorry.

Glenrenil falls back to let the rest catch up to her. "Friends, there may be danger ahead. There are arrows fired of to the side there. Perhaps just hunting, but maybe there is more to it."

I had some spare time on my hands and got a little carried away

@DM I am assuming, that while traveling I am also hunting. If you what me to make the individual rolls I will just let me now. Also as a scout I should be about 100 feet ahead of the party on horseback, 60 feet on foot, in most cases. Just giving you a frame of reference. For example an ambush.

Also thank you very much for running this game, I've read the past posts and realize you have picked up this game out of the goodness of your heart. So once again Thank You!

Glenrenil says "Well, we better get moving. Only so much daylight."

Glenrenil asks Vladimir "Are these arrows magical? I can not tell. My orisions are all used on other things."

"Perhaphs a druid or some other nature inclined person. Poor soul. Certainly dead now." Glenrenil takes the quiver and slings it over her shoulder and grabs the wrapped bundle. "Vlad take the staff if you see any value in it. And let us see our spoils in the sun, leave this one to his tomb." With that she attempts to ascend the rope.

Take 20 Climb

Glenrenil follows Vladimir down the rope. She was not going to let another of her friends face danger alone.

She takes 20 to climb down the rope then she casts light

Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (14) + 12 = 26

Glenrenil goes to Hrafen's side. Seeing Coramus heal him eases her mind. She sheepishly says "Hrafen do you need more healing? I am so glad you are alright. Does anyone else need healing?" She turns to Coramus "Thank you Coramus." Feeling ashamed because of her uselessness she moves to the spider. Glenrenil examines the remains to determine what type of spider it was, hoping to gain some insight into its social habits. She does not want to run into another one unprepared.

Taking ten on Knowledge (nature) total=21

Rook snaps out of his trance and turns to his master. Glenrenil seeing him regain his senses shouts "Attack Rook." rook quickly moves toward the spider and snaps at one of its legs.

5 ft step to T12

Rook's bite: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
DMG: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

Rook's will save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11

Glenrenil screams "Wake up Rook" as she runs to the fray. True anger grips her as she sees her friend bitten by the spider. Her heart stood still for a moment at the sight of Hrafen's blood. It was dark and thick. A massive wound. She would not loose him. this spider must die.

Move to T18

She sees an opening and lets loose one last arrow before entering combat.

Longbow: 1d20 ⇒ 4

Another miss. She was failing to protect her friends. This could not happen. This will not happen. If it meant her life she would kill this thing. All this runs thru her mind in the blink of an eye.

Rooks will save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

Glenrenil lets loose another arrow, hoping this time it finds its mark.

Longbow: 1d20 ⇒ 3

Again Glenrenil misses her target. Terror grips her as she sees Hrafen in danger. She cries "Rook attack." with no avail. She moves closer to the spider. If she had to she would take the spider on herself. Nothing would hurt her friend. Not if she could help it.

Move to p18

will save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
Rooks will save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12

Glenrenil snaps out of a daze and says "Go get it Rook"the wolf stands still, hypnotized. She realizes that the daze she awoke from still has Rook. Glenrenil fires an arrow at the hypnotic spider hoping to end it's hold on Rook.

Longbow: 1d20 ⇒ 16

She misses terribly. The spiders tics still disorienting her

Glenrenil staying back a bit with her bow and arrow trained on the thicket. She moves to get a better angle.

Glenrenil dismounts with the others and prepares her bow.

Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (7) + 12 = 19

Still tracking the archer she notices the tracks turn, almost as if it was trying to avoid the camp. Hearing the words of her pack...er party she speaks "The camp will be here when we return. Who knows how long these tracks will last. I say, we follow the archer."

"I think there was a battle here. An archer and someone using fire. The archer went that way, the direction we came from. And the body of his foe was torn apart and eaten by some kind of canine. Should we follow the archer? Perhaps make an ally?

Glenrenil thinks on this and says "Your right Vorik. Slow and steady wins the race."

Glenrenil looks to the man and shakes she head "I leave it to you gentlemen. I do not know this man or his crimes. As such I am not fit to judge his fate."

Rook growls at the man as Glenrenil approaches "Ask this man about the location of the fort and the meaning of the heraldry pages we found. If he lies, I'll let Rook here take a few toes." She scratches Rooks head and smiles.

Aid another in Intimidate: 1d20 ⇒ 2

Glenrenil stops before she uses her wand "Oh, ok, I just wanted to heal his wound before it gets infected. I'm weird that way."

As soon as the battle is over Glenrenil runs to Vladimir's side. She says "Lets get that bolt out. It's going to hurt a little." With that she removes the bolt in one quick motion, followed buy a casting from her wand.

Wand of cure light wounds: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Glenrenil says "That's better."

Glenrenil shouts "Down Rook." still keeping her arrow trained on the crossbow man.

Glenrenil shouts as a free action "Go get him." And Rook sets off towards the man holding the crossbow. As Glenrenil shoots at the hidden man.

Rook charges the bandit. He has a 50ft move.
Bite: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10

Glenrenil shoots
Longbow: 1d20 ⇒ 5

Glenrenil snaps a arrow at the furthest foe.L11 Aiming to mam not to kill

Longbow: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23

Dmg: 1d8 ⇒ 6

Glenrenil sneaks a peck from her cover.
Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (16) + 12 = 28

Glenren huddles next to the door. She has her bow ready, and she waits like a predator. While she does not look to violence to solve all her problems, she does enjoy the rush before. Now what kind of prey would they find.

Glenrenil still thinking about the smoke signals, begins to formulate a plan. "Perhaps we could use this to our advantage. If the fires were to alert someone about troop movements then we could send false signals. I'm assuming the Stag Lord has some kind of fortification. When we find it we could lure out his forces then we could attack at the root. So I say we, leave this pile alone. So the bandits will think there system is still good, and we have a plan for the future."

Glenrenil shrugs and says "Sorry, I try not to use traps. Besides most natural predators would be driven away from a big fire."

Glenrenil looks through the journal and comes to a conclusion. She turns to the group and says "Hey, I think the fire is suppose to be a signal fire. Look." She shows the group a journal cover filled with pages ripped from a heraldry book. It looks like someone drew a few clouds of various lengths on each page. One blank page near the end has these same fluffy clouds drawn next to numbers. "The clouds on the heraldry pages are for who is coming, and the clouds on the blank page are for how many. I found this and some survival gear under the floor boards in the tower."

While we wait Glenrenil searches though the backpack and satchel that she found. Hoping to find a clue as to what happened here.

"My vote is light the fire. Better to face the enemy now, then wait for a surprise attack."

Glenrenil, relieved to see no danger, starts to search in the tower. She examines the flooring for any trap doors.

Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26

"We should be cautious. The bandits might still be here. Why else would they pile wood for a fire." She readies her bow and begins searching for foes.

Wait, I forgot to add the bonus from eyes of the wild. It's +2. So that makes it a 19

Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17

A bit of blush shows on her cheeks as Glenrenil says "Thank you." It is all that she can say.

Glenrenil calls out to the first horse. "Come here boy"

Handle Animal: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17

Second horse. "Here girl. Come here."

Handle Animal: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24

Third horse. She makes a clicking sound with her tongue. "Come on. Come here."

Handle Animal: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

"Stubborn huh." She tries again offering a bit of hard tack from her rations. "Come on boy. I know you can do it."

Handle Animal: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16

Knight. "Come here Knight."

Handle Animal: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24

"Good horses. Very good." She scratches each one in turn.

I shouldn't have to roll for Rook, as he is my animal companion. But just incase.

"Come here Rook"

Handle Animal: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

"Come on boy"

Handle Animal: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20

Yah, I just figured that out myself. So GM, it should be a simple matter of taking 10's. Or do you want me to roll?

"Well I could certainly try. Are your horses trained?"

Glenrenil turns to the rest of the group "Well, what do you say. I for one think the safer way is the best"

Glenrenil looks at the bridge and says "We could backtrack and cross at a safer place. But it will take an hour and a half."

Not sure what the roll is for. But here it goes.

Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25

Glenrenil dismounts and draws her longbow,notching an arrow. She scans the far shore for danger.

Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (5) + 12 = 17

If all is well she crosses the bridge.
