Honestly she didn't appeal to me whatsover sadly. I wonder if we'll get a new Dhampir iconic one of these days? She was one of the villain iconics from Hell's Vengeance, but she's appeared outside of that AP in Wake the Dead. She was always the least villainous and more pragmatic of all those iconics, she's just balancing her adventuring life with Gebbite politicking. That's something I find compelling, and gives two sides of all of her interactions. No shade on Usharak though, I'm excited to see how things go or him in the long run.

There were also new Feats for a bunch of classes, including some love for the Kineticist which I was surprised to see. Awesome, thank you. Sounds like a nice variety here which I appreciate. Are any of the new devils remasters of OGL devils?

To me it sounds like what people want from a ninja is a stealthy magical trickster, which could just be called the Trickster. I would be all for a Trickster class tbh, since that sounds fun. Samurai are just knights with different hats so idk, that's just a fighter to me. The iaijutsu stuff I think could just be part of like a Ronin archetype, especially since real aristocratic samurai valued and practiced marksmanship more than melee combat.

I'll throw out two more feasible playable critters, Charda and Seugathi. Both odd choices but what better way to expand their roles than letting us be them!
Speaking of critters, while the OGL certainly had many prominent Darklands creatures, there are quite a few from 1e I'd love to see make a return as they're iconic mostly to me. I'll throw out Cytillipedes (and maybe more cytillesh creatures), Geomaws, Khardajeens, Faceless Whales, Deeplits, Gloomwasps, Darklands Sentinels. And reprinting some of the stuff from Extinction Curse and Abomination Vaults to be remastered is something I wouldn't be opposed to.

SilvercatMoonpaw wrote: Is this thread only about asking for 1e remakes, or can we just say any old thing? Both :P
Basically, many of us just want Paizo to bring back old material ASAP so they can move on to new stuff.
Rougarous, Wyrwoods, Gathlains, Yaddithians, Syrinxes, Shabtis, Orang-Pendaks, Munavris, Kurus, Calignis, Boggards, Astomois, Wyvarans, Bugbears, Ogres and Trolls are still missing...
Half-Giant, as a versatile heritage with the various species as lineages, would be nice.
Multiple new heritages for existing ancestries could be welcomed:
- Flind for Kholos, Large
- Monkey Goblin for Goblins, climb speed and brachiation
- Grindylow for Goblins, aquatic goblinoid squidfolk
- Cecaelia for Merfolks, tentacles instead of fish tail
Finally, Celedons, human-sized animated statues created by deities, would be a great addition as a new ancestry. Just like some ancestries are tied to Occult or Primal (to the point of replacing spells), those could be tied to Divine.
That's just for "returning races" though :p I'd rather cecaelias and/or grindylows be their own ancestries with the full spectrum of octopus powers like camouflage, ink, and tool use. On the flip side I imagine an orang-pendak would just get folded into a sasquatch ancestry.

Though I imagine it would be quite difficult to do Second Darkness without the drow. Although it could potentially be just about a city or cult of evil Ayndilar elves. Replacing the drow would be one of the tricky parts that requires a fair amount of rewriting, but it's also the primary reason I would love to do this. It wouldn't just be a "cult of evil Ayndilar elves." It's a big enough change to not have drow that it needs to be something better than just a find/replace drow for ayndilar. Other things I'd love to tackle in a reworking of this would be:
** spoiler omitted **... I actually think replacing the drow might not be as tricky as it might seem. If we go back to their backstory on Golarion, they were elves in the Darklands warped by Rovagug + ambient radiation when he awoke during Earthfall. The thing is, back when that was written Rovagug just turned you purple and made you a jerk, but nowadays Rovagug warping you turns you into a horrific chitinous aberrant creature. Verex wishes he just turned purple.
That I think is where the big change can occur that keeps whatever these hypothetical rova-elves are relevant to elves, but uniquely Pathfinder. Horrific mutant sylvan-bug abominations in the caves also calls back to driders a bit without being typecast into spiders. Plus its a little 'The Hills Have Eyes' but for elves, which is charming.
This is all one hypothetical of course, there's lots of ways you can take the consequences of Rovagug waking up during Earthfall and how it affects elves in the long term. The only main caveats for this I think are necessary to keep everyone happy is 1) they need to be edgy in an endearing way and 2) they need to be sexy. Really that's all anyone wants out of any replacement for drow in a villainous role.

JiCi wrote: Kinda sucks that there's no new Primal Dragon keyed to the Planes of Metal and Wood... Hopefully those will come soon.
The Dragonet looks fun, again hopefully with new heritages based on other regions.
Actually most of the classic primal dragons have been keyed away from the elemental planes, and the imperial Forest dragon is now keyed to the Plane of Wood. So now we only have Brine and Forest as elemental dragons, though its stated in the book that the other imperial dragons do originate from the elemental planes.

That Asura change sounds like it might actually be an error, they're still mentioned as fiends in War of Immortals.
