Radiant Oath

Female Dwarf Cleric of Folgrit 1 (HP: 20/20) (AC:13 Fort: +5 Ref: +3 Will: +9) (Perc: +7)

Fortitude: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15 Hero Point: Fortitude: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23

Having noticed Pinky ahead of time, Gerrika is prepared to shield her eyes when the creature flashes its spotlight, saving her from being blinded. When it turns to bite Simon, the dwarf invokes a quick blessing from her patron, the Dwarf-Mother, to redirect some of the harm to herself (3 damage with protector's sacrifice).

"It's part frog and part lantern, I think we found our guy!"

Just in case Shimmer's point-blank shot didn't do enough to persuade the monster not to steal the group's precious cargo, Granny wades around in the muck and whacks it over the head with her staff before raising a magical shield again.

Staff: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20, Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 6

"Careful, Shimmer," Granny says as she walks up to the trap and sees that it has been successfully disabled by the sprite. "Don't want you to get gulped down by a giant tree frog, you know."

In the relative quiet that follows, Gerrika attempts to concentrate and locate whatever it is that is hiding from them up ahead, and casts a Shield spell to defend herself should it prove hostile.

"Well, if they are bandits who want to rob us, it's their funeral, you know," Gerrika says, rolling up her sleeves. "I think they look like trustworthy fellows who just need some help, though, and these stout old dwarf muscles might be exactly the help they need."

Gerrika steps into the mire and pushes the wagon onto Shimmer's improved ramp. "Get in here, Simon! This thing is not that heavy after all. Just a little push and it's out."

The apron-clad dwarf marches up the road, typically late, to meet the rest of the Pathfinders inspecting the posted note.

"I think I smell tea! You didn't think to have a tea break without inviting me, have you?" Gerrika produces an ornate chinaware teacup from her bag and hands it to Zòila. "I make a fantastic mulberry liqueur, you know, I should invite you over for drinks someday."

"There, that wasn't so hard. Now to calm down this rowdy pile of rocks; it's just like placating a fussy child. You know, when my son Balfour was still this small... ah, I'll tell you all about it later."

Granny steps up next to Simon and says an incantation, instilling some divine power in the allies surrounding her.

"Oh, I don't think this was supposed to happen." Gerrika hurries over to the cauldron and attempts to undo the magic making it function. "You take care of the rocks, I'll make sure no stew monster comes after us next."

"Carrots and celery from Farmer Greetle, potatoes from the dwarf miners, and scallions from the brownies... I think we have everything for the stew now, all that's left is to prepare it. Let's go hand over everything to Ms. Baro."

"Oh, yes, we've heard of the mess Kupyn accidentally made here, you know, she told us all about it. I assure you, she meant no harm, but you have to understand why she got mad - did you ask little Darb here if he wants his hair done?"

Gerrika pets the dog, letting his golden fur flow. "It's very rude to give someone a makeover like that without permission, you know, and it's meticulous work to get his hair back how he likes it! Now, let's leave all that behind us and join together to make delicious rock stew; that's what holiday spirit is all about, or so I hear."

"Oh, it's good to meet you, Neila. My name is Gerrika Granitehead, but you can just call me Granny; these are my companions, and I think you know our little Darb here. We've come to collect some scallion rings for the holiday rock stew, if you don't mind parting with some, you know."

"Good morning, Mr. Greetle! So happy to see you and the little ones are doing fine." Granny Granitehead waves to the children. "Yeah, just like Zenobia here just said, we're helping cook the rock stew this year, and your vegetables are just the thing we're missing. Isn't that right, kinderlach? Grandpa Bunwol grows the best carrots in town! Make your eyes sharp and your bones strong."

"Yes, let's go see Farmer Greetle now. I know a thing or two about dealing with grumpy old men, you know, I have a husband!", Granny chuckles.

"Oi, is that right what I just heard? Poor Jaget's joints are acting up again?"

An older Dwarven lady approaches the group, patting Kupyn on the shoulder as she arrives. She wears a leather apron over robes of red, green and brown, and something about her smells like home.

"Looks like I arrived just in time. They said they're making a stew so I came to offer my recipe, but it looks like you've got that all in control, so I guess I'll join these handsome looking folks in gathering the ingredients. My name is Gerrika, by the way," she says with her hand outstretched, "but you can just call me Granny."
