On arrival at the camp, Gerfanin would also like to inspect the bridge using architecture lore (+9) if possible to get a sense if Zig's assumptions are correct and that they don't have enough lumber to build a fence and finish the bridge. Also depending on how the GM runs initiative (hopefully block initiative) generally you can just post your action in combat and they can retroactively apply it assuming that it's still a valid action. Basic PbP rules are min 1 post per day, even if your not a talky character it's still nice to post a comment even OOC so people know you're still around. edit: oh you also only have 30mins (i think) to edit a post after submitting it, it's good to double-check in case you missed something like action or adding a modifier
