To give you an idea of what the camp looks like, take a look at Slide 3.
@Milady: No-one was attacked, so no-one is injured.
Yunko: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24.
Yunko recognises that the camp is being attacked by lions, and knows what sort of locations they often lair in (giving him a +2 bonus on checks to track them)[/ooc].
Shiira easily tracks the felines back to their lair, confident that there are two in the cave that the party is approaching.
I'll give you a chance to declare any preparations that you wish to make, before I move things forward.

Ma'hoo will attempt to recall some knowledge about Lions
Nature: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 18
Then as we get close to the cave entrance and prepare to meet the creatures, he leans over and give Dog a good scratch. As bits of fur fall off, the clumps turn it to mangy rats, and soon a swarm of rats and sends them in to flush out the lions

@Yunko: Same day. A couple of miles from the camp. Camp reached mid-afternoon.
Lion: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28.
Jaws: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25, for 2d10 + 12 ⇒ (10, 3) + 12 = 25 damage.
The party hears two surprised roars, some terrified squeaking, and then some rending and chewing, before things go silent again.
Someone is *definitely* home...

"I have my own booties." From under the mass of fur that is the Ma'HooDog, a small booted foot appears, covered a very fine leather boot. "Gran always said treat your feet like your own personal chief, and they will always treat you right"
As to the idea of closing the mine.
"What?! And give up on all that tasty lion meat? Also the fur can trade well to cover some of the bridge losses"

Shiira shakes her head: "We will not trap these beasts in there and let them die of starvation! We should at least give them a fight! We are no cowards."
...She doesn't like it if animals are treated with disrespect ;) And personally I am curious if we find something interesting in that cave.

Yunko eyes the cve with suspicion. Trapping them in there might deal with the immediate threat but I am frightened of what might happen if we leave them to slowly die of thirst. Who knows what sort of dark energies that might unleash. Also, there might be another exit from the cave system, we dont know how far it reaches. There could be half a dozen exits. I think we are going to have to go on in and root them out. If you cannot see in the dark I can light up my wayfinder for you.
@Milady: You are showing as being at 17/30hp, did you get hit by something? We have had plenty of time to treat yourr woundss. Yunko is no good at Medicine but I do have the Heal spell. What is everyone else like at Medicine?

Garfanin would also like to try and identify the wolves we fought, that is more for his record-keeping than anything else.
On arrival at the camp, Gerfanin would also like to inspect the bridge using architecture lore (+9) if possible to get a sense if Zig's assumptions are correct and that they don't have enough lumber to build a fence and finish the bridge.
As the group approaches the cave and on entering Gerfanin would be detecting magic as his exploration action.
He will cast light so he can see.

As far as Gerfanin is aware, Zig's assumption is correct - it would appear that lumber for this endeavour was budgeted only on the assumption that a bridge would need to be built, not a formal palisade as well. You could put up a partial barricade, but it could just be walked around.
Since the general consensus seems to be to move inside...
