Male Human Ranger 1

Sorry to hear about your real life problems, but they have to have priority. Best wishes to you for things returning to normal.

Male Human Ranger 1

"It would seem like a good idea to hunt down the others, then. Without destroying them, I suppose, though I do not know how practical that is. Perhaps younger ones are less dangerous." Gerad looks hopefully at Berrakra.

Male Human Ranger 1

"An unusually large insect, possibly a hive queen, though I do not know the species." Gerad moves back towards the group.

Male Human Ranger 1

"A tough creature, it seems." Gerad muses on the strange beasts he's seen in the area, while sending more arrows in it's direction.

Gerad moves swiftly round the dune, studying the creature. A weak point, there, I think. He tests his theory with an arrow.

Enter Skirmishing Stance; Until the stance ends, if you end the turn 4 squares from where you started it, you gain +2 to AC and Reflex and your next attack does an additional 1d8 damage
Hunter's Quarry on the mantis.

Perception 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
Dungeoneering 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18

Male Human Ranger 1

"It is not far from our route."

Male Human Ranger 1

Bank it. We can perhaps trade it in for a favour later.

Male Human Ranger 1

"Let us hope they will use it sensibly." Gerad has been listening, as his companions talk of things he doesn't really understand. But water, that he knows the value of.

Male Human Ranger 1

Gerad was on 14/26 hit points
First round, 9/26, saving throw 1d20 ⇒ 12
Spend 3 surges to return to full hit points. 4/7 remaining.

Male Human Ranger 1

Forgot my saving throw 1d20 ⇒ 5. Karma says it failed.

Male Human Ranger 1

Triple post. Which one should we use? 1 and 3 are misses on Gerad, 2 is a hit.

Male Human Ranger 1

Gerad would have started to move round the well when Carric fell in.

D4
Initiative 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16

Male Human Ranger 1

Gerad pauses, then waves to the others. "It's empty. but someone has been here." He tries to determine where the tracks lead from and to.

Perception for tracks 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23

Male Human Ranger 1

Gerad puts a finger to his lips. As quietly as he can, he moves down the steps till he can see into the chamber.

Stealth check 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23

Male Human Ranger 1

Gerad follows, watching the walls and floor warily.

Perception, 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7 Edit: "!It's a wall!"

@Th'Kal I believe it was indicated we could get regeared by the caravan as they needed us for guards

Even if that's the case, I'd still suggest looting the bodies. They might be quite happy with us if we provide gear that they can sell in exchange for re-equipment.

Male Human Ranger 1

Gerad moves over to Gorad and attempts clumsily to heal him.

Heal check 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Edit: Well, that worked. Not. I think in future Gerad will stick to looting corpses and watching for survivors returning.

Male Human Ranger 1

Gerad looks at his broken bowstring and mutters something under his breath. He draws a weapon and moves in to attack in melee.

Minor: draw longsword
Standard, WAsteland Fury, shift 2 squares to H11 and attack, 1d20 + 6 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 6 + 1 + 2 = 19 vs AC, damage 1d8 + 3 + 3 + 1d6 ⇒ (7) + 3 + 3 + (2) = 15 including quarry damage

Male Human Ranger 1

Gerad concentrates, trying to identify the least protected parts of the defiler, and releases two arrows towards him.

Extra damage on first hit if either do, 1d6 ⇒ 6
Edit: Critical hit, so the first attack does 16 damage including hunter's quarry bonus

Male Human Ranger 1

@everyone; or at least get any corpses away from that particular area

Male Human Ranger 1

Gerad shrugs. If we let them go to tell others how fearsome we are, they'll stay away. But still. He bounds after the two withdrawing elves, omnly slowing down to release one more arrow at the neraby one.

Move to F8
Standard: Fading Strike against the scout, attack 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14 vs AC, damage 1d10 + 1d6 ⇒ (10) + (6) = 16; shift to F6

Male Human Ranger 1

Apologies. I didn't realise it was me.

Gerad looks at the creature that erupted from the sand. "Haven't seen one of those before." Mentally, he shrugs. Deal with the elves first, that if we have to. He takes aim, and releases more arrows at the nearest elf.

Minor, Hunter's Quarry on J12
Standard, Twin Strike on J12

If either attack hits, 1d6 ⇒ 4 extra damage

Male Human Ranger 1

Gerad looks around. Something's odd.. Shrugging, he narrows his eyes at the nearest elf, and sends some arrows at him.

Male Human Ranger 1

Initiative, 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
Starting position, F14

Male Human Ranger 1

Gerad would likely be working as a hunter, acquiring game to supplement the caravans food supplies. He's not yet familiar enough with the region to act as a guide, though he's working on it. As for why a Tableland nomad would be wandering around this area, a templar has an appointment with one or several of his arrows. They just don't know it yet.

Gerad scowls slightly. "I know my way around the tablelands. This area I don't know so well, but I'm a quick study. If you want someone to shoot a bow or stab a blade, I can do both as well as most soft city dwellers."

Gerad is my character submission. I'm happy to wait and see who else puts one in, since he's a bit rough at the moment.
