The Glitching condition has so much potential.

I feel that they should do away with the flat check and just have the condition do what it's going to do. Most of the time there is a save to avoid the effect anyway.

What if there was a small table that we roll on to determine the glitch affect? Glitching 1 = 1 roll on the table.
For example: (I am not a game designer, so I mean no offense. Just brain storming)

On a d20:
1-3 = Overheating: take 1d6 damage.
4-6 = Corrupted Data: Loses all data.
7-9 = Software bugs: -1 item penalty to all checks and DCs.
10-12 = Hardware failure: a part of the tech stops working.
13-15 = Network latency: the tech cannot communicate.
16-20 = Power supply issue: causes slowed 1.

I got the NPC Codex for Pathfinder. Very cool! Over 300 NPCs for every level with flavorful names and backgrounds.
That would be awesome if Starfinder had the same thing. I'd say better than a 5th alien archives book.
Paizo...please do your magic!

Sincerely,
Loyal Starfinder fan :)

I recommend "Xodo" app for Android devices. Very easy to navigate through the whole PDF.

Yep, you're still attacking EAC/KAC. Essentially to hit a creature you don't have line of sight to with an attack, you have to:

  • Determine or guess the correct square to attack
  • Successfully roll high enough on a d100 to beat 50% miss chance
  • Successfully roll high enough on an attack roll to hit EAC/KAC

Of course, area attacks like grenades (and other things with explode) or explosive blast spells don't suffer that miss chance.

  • Awesome! Thank you for the help!

New guy here searching for an answer to the statement in the "Total Concealment" rule: "... though it can attack into a square it thinks you occupy."

What would be the DC for this attack? Or is the attack against the target's EAC/KAC?

    From the CRB:
    Total Concealment
If a creature has line of effect to you but not line of sight (see
page 271), you have total concealment. An enemy can’t attack
you when you have total concealment, though it can attack into
a square it thinks you occupy. A successful attack into a square
occupied by an enemy with total concealment has a 50% miss
    chance (instead of 20%).

    Thanks.
