Hey Friends!

Welcome to Recruitment for my 1st PF2e Campaign. I've done a number a 5e games; in-person, online, and pbp. I'm very excited to start DM'ing some PF2e.

Game:
PF2e; Age of Ashes AP

Group Type:
Online Play-by-Post using Discord.
Character sheets managed on Pathbuilder 2e.
4-Player Group Size

Experience:
New and Experienced players welcome. As with most play-by-post there will be a heavy emphasis on Roleplay so keep that in mind.

Engagement:
- 1 post / day at least 5 days / week. Obviously, more is preferred.
- During Combat, if a player doesn't post for more than 1 day, I will generally rule that they use the Delay action until they return. After 48 hours I'll attempt to bot the character.
- This is a long-term commitment. An AP, especially PBP, is a very long haul. Consider that before applying.

Character Creations:
- Download and Read The Players Guide for Age of Ashes
- Use Standard Character Creation from the Core Rulebook.
- Ancestries: Core and APG Only.
- Backgrounds from the Player's Guide encouraged, but not required.
- Alignment: Non-Evil
- Backstory: A paragraph or two will suffice, you don't have to write a novel.
- All players will be answering the Call of Heroes (info in the Players Guide)
- This is an ages 21+ table.
- Character Sheets will be managed using Pathbuilder.

How to Apply:
Fill out the New Player Application.

What I Expect:
- The long-term commitment to the AP. Again, APs are long adventures. I understand we can't promise years of our lives to a game, but if you're just looking for something casual for a few weeks. This probably isn't the table for you.
- Meeting the Engagement Expectations. If you don't have the time to write a longer post, write a shorter one. If you don't have the time to write a shorter one, post a brb in the OOC channel. If you lose interest and want to drop out, don't stress. Just let me know -- no hard feelings.
- Bring your Character to life. Roleplaying is the lifeblood of PbP. One-Liners are better than nothing. But
- Don't metagame. If your character doesn't know it, don't use it.
- Don't power game. Robust, flavorful, and flawed characters are more fun than dry, min-maxed, superheroes.

What You Can Expect:
- Well Experienced GM, with years of GM experience across multiple campaigns and parties.
- PF2e is new to me as a DM, so I will likely make mistakes. If so, don't hesitate to let me know and I'll correct it. Just remember to be kind.
- I GM a pretty RAW table, with the occasional house rule usually to improve the PbP experience.
- I don't cheat. I don't fudge rolls to save a PC. PC deaths happen, and it can be rough. Don't expect me to save your PCs from it's clutches.
- I highly encourage creative thinking and going in unexpected directions, but cool doesn't mean automatic success. However I generally reward flavor and drama over a min-maxed numbers strategy.
- I don't metagame. The BBEG doesn't know everything I know.
- Two Pre-Established House Rules. "2 and Go" and "Combat Delay

Hey Pathfinders!

I DM a weekly group and we've recently decided to jump to Pathfinder 2e. As we think about how we'd like to proceed I asked the group what their issues were and they unanimously brought up two points:
- Having to miss a session causes a lot of stress and anxiety tied to letting the group down. They want a better policy for missing games.
- New ideas for characters make being stuck with a current character a slog at times. They want more opportunity to switch out their character without disrupting the story.

So, to address those issues I'm borrowing from PFS.
- Weekly (possibly every other week) 1 shots with loose connected plots as opposed to the larger Adventures/Campaigns
- As long as 4 people are participating that week, we'll play. Giving room for 2 people to drop that week if they need/want.
- Loot, Gold, and XP will be treated the same as PFS via Chronicle Sheets.
- You may bring only 1 character into a game, but you may have multiple characters in your portfolio (Specific to our table)

My Goals:
- I have an interest in playing through the PF1e lore. So I'll be basing the weekly games loosely on those stories.
- I have an interest in growing as a DM, and improving my ability to deliver consistent and fun experiences to my table.

About the Campaign:
- Based loosely on PFS 1e story
- Discord for Voice and Chat
- Foundry VTT as our table
- Facebook Chat for between session chatter
- GM's Timezone is Mountain (UTC-6)
- Starts at level 1.
- First Game kicks off sometime next week (likely March 24).

Currently we have 3 open seats. Let me know below if you'd be interested, what kind of character you'd want to bring into this adventure, and what your availability might look like.

Hello Pathfinders!

I'm a long-time DM for "another" TTRPG, but was gifted the 2e Core Rulebook a few months ago. I played and DM'd 1e many moons ago, but lost track of a group who liked it enough to play consistently. That said, I've fallen in love with 2e and am itching to sink my teeth into it.

I know DM's are hard to come by so I thought that would be the fastest way to dive right in.

The Long Term Plan:
Play through Season 1 the Year of the Open Door of PFS 2e.

Short Term Goal:
Complete #1-00 Origin of the Open Door.

Since I'm new to PF2e, PFS, and PBP I'm going to start off as easy as I can with #1-00 and pregenerated characters. After we've completed this, everyone can of course bring in their individual PFS legal characters into #1-01.

Platform: Discord
Frequency: 1 post / 24 hours

My Commitment to You:
As the DM, I'm committing to post at least twice a day, and carry the through through to the end of #1-00. Further scenarios will be decided based on how successful we are.

Who I'm Looking For:
Players who are willing to commit to a PBP playthrough of #1-00, who have experience with TTRPGS but are new to PFS.

To Apply:
Send me a message with the following:
a) Your Pathfinder Society Name and Number
b) What is your first and second choice of Pregenerated character you'd like to bring into #1-00?
c) Do you have previous PBP experience? How much?
d) What character do you have to bring into #1-01 if we make it there (level, race, class, xp)?
c) What's your Discord Username?

After you've sent me your message, post in this thread to let me know it's been sent.

Current Seats:
#1: Empty
#2: Empty
#3: Empty
#4: Empty

Hi Friends!

I'm a long-time D&D Player and DM. Although most of my experience over the years has been in D&D, I've played a few Pathfinder games and always wanted to convert. Buuuut most of the friends who sit at my tables were D&D fans.

Welp in the age of covid, and the uptick and PBP I'd LOVE to join a Pathfinder 2.0 group! I love the pacing of the always-on PBP, I like being able to take my time to think through my posts and write creatively and cinematically. I love roleplay. And I love exciting combat situations.

Please let me know if you have room in your PBP game I'd love to join!

Thanks, I look forward to playing with you!

(Sorry for the double post in Online Campaigns, I flagged the other as a duplicate)
