![]() Fangs tore into Geim's legs as he swung his big hammer around and brought it down onto one of the wolf's backs. Fort Save, hardy, touch of law: 11 + 5 + 3 = 19

![]() "Aye, that's a good question lass. Seems someone don't like what these boys where up to. That settles it then. Time for us dwarves to get involved...and you too Halfelf. You're on Team Dwarf now." "Now first things first. Let's see if we can calm old boy down some, maybe have a few drinks in the process as well. I think better after a few ales. See if he can get us that writing sample while we're at it." "Then we'll go see this weaponsmith, or what passes for one around these parts. After that, the plague house." ![]()

![]() The snoring ended abruptly as Geim woke up, the screaming echoing throughout the establishment. He sat up slowly, rubbing his head with both hands. "What? What is it?" he asked to no one in particular. Finally he swung his legs out of bed and soon the rest of him followed. He followed the bustling activity towards Rodrik's room, his eyes still half-closed as he walked, occasionally bouncing off the walls as he went. "What seems to be the trouble?" he asked, unable to see clearly into the room with so many already investigating. ![]()

![]() I was using the wrong save number, should be +5 instead of +3. Doesn't really change anything though. Round 8, DC 14, hardy: 1d20 + 5 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 5 + 3 = 17
A loud CRASH opened Geim's eyes again. He squinted and blinked several times. "HAH, that's some good stuff. You boys look 10 feet tall." He did not realize he was lying on his back, still clutching his empty mug. Then his head rolled to the side and he started snoring. ![]()

![]() A wide smile broke out on Geim's face. "Well, the only thing better than killer orcs is drinkin' dwarven ale. Cheers" he said as he raised his first mug. Round 4, DC 10, hardy: 1d20 + 3 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 + 3 = 20
Towards the end his cheeks turned a dark red and puffed out, his eyes crossed and swayed ever so slightly on his feet. He swallowed hard but it was not enough to keep all of the ale down and soon it stained his fine dwarven beard. "Bah. Must be this human food. It's why you should never trust a belch" Geim said as he dusted his hands off on his pants. ![]()

![]() With a scowl on his bearded face, Geim stood with his arms crossed. He didn't like being tricked, and while there was little real loss in this case, he still felt like he had been made a fool. The longer they talked though, the less he cared about the contest. "I suppose helping in some manner is still helping, even if it's not spilling orc blood. What can we do for Trunau?" ![]()

![]() Geim hefted his enormous hammer and set it upon his own shoulder as he clapped Magnar hard on the back. "That's the best news I've heard all week. Now, let's see what we can help Ruby with. It seems like we have everyone's attention. Best to keep it so Halfelven here can speak her peace." ![]()

![]() Geim bowed his head as Magnar introduced them both. "Aye las. We're all friends here." His eyes strayed a look in her direction, but he kept his attention on the ceremony. It was inspiring to a dwarf. A child coming of age, traditions being passed along. It almost brought a tear to his eye. As another joined their ranks, Geim smiled at the newcomer. "Greetings and well met. I am Geim, Geim Bloodmaul. This is Magnar and this is...uh...I didn't catch your name las. Magnar and I've traveled all the way from Highhelm." He paused a moment and looked at Magnar before continuing. "Why we've come to kill orcs of course. What else is there to do in this blasted village?" he said with a chuckle. "I can't wait for the next patrol. I need to stretch my legs." ![]()

![]() "TRUNAU FOREVER" Geim shouted along with those gathered for the ceremony. He stood off to the side, somewhat separating himself from the crowd. At least this way he could see. He clapped his hands as the necklace was placed over Ruby's head. It was a rather cheerful event for such a solemn tradition. Still, another day with no dead was an event worth celebrating in Trunau. ![]()

![]() I'm in agreement with Geim and Magnar being friends and coming to Trunau together. Someone needs to keep Geim from getting into trouble. I think Stealth will be hard to pull off. We can pretty much use heavier armor so I think we should, but that's not to say we shouldn't have some stealth. The monk and bard won't need/use heavier armor but Magnar and I will likely need it to form the front line. You mentioned possibly taking Additional Traits. You could pick up of the Stealth ones there. I would keep Fate's Favored, it's more valuable at low levels. If Jorani keeps Combat Reflexes, that combined with his Bard song ability would share it so you could get a different feat. ![]()

![]() Greetings! So Geim will start using a dire flail and going two-weapon fighting route once I have a few feats to make it work. He'll be going the twin thunder feat tree and maybe some of the cleave-related-dwarfy ones if I can find the feats to pull it off. He will be going Sky Seeker. |
