Envoy's Alliance

I am playing a Summoner in our local Age of Ashes game, and my GM and I are trying to keep things as RAW as possible for the purposes of keeping the Characters Pathfinder Society Legal. We are trying to figure out how Wands work for the Summoner, and due to the similarities in their Casting Style, the Magus Class.

Due to the VERY limited Spells Known for both of these classes (no more than 5) the addition of Wands to cast certain daily prep spells (Such as 'Mystic Armor' and 'Summoner's Precaution') would be very valuable.

According to Archives of Nethys under 'Casting Spells from a Wand' You must have a Spell on your Character's Spell List to allow your Character to cast it from a Wand: https://2e.aonprd.com/Rules.aspx?ID=3219

It also draws a distinction between "Spells on your Spell List" and "...from your Spellcasting Tradition".

What we are trying to figure out is if the Wand being used must contain one of the (Max 5) Spells that You know, or if it can be any spell of the Caster's Tradition and on their Spell List?

Thanks in advance!

Hello All,

I have a Player who wants to play a Diabolic Pact Maker type Character, and would like to Build the Character around the Planar Servitor Ritual: https://2e.aonprd.com/Rituals.aspx?ID=120

The idea is to take a Summoner with a Tempter Demon Eidolon which would act as one of the Secondary Casters, and the Recipient of the Deal being made as the other Secondary Caster. The Recipient would gain the "benefits" of the Deal and Pay the Costs. (This is also a creative way to use the Religion Skill to earn income!)

The Player could also attempt usage of this Ritual, but then would Themselves take on the associated Costs & Risks. (They would need an additional Diplomacy Skill user to act as a Secondary Caster)

Planar Servitor appears to Scale upwards and downwards without issue, and the restrictions of the Ritual based on it's description feel like they would be OK to me. I add Elemental Servitor to the above question simply because it is nearly identical in usage & verbiage.

My Question then becomes: Is there a particular reason that this Ritual is a 5th Level Ritual? Am I missing something or is it's Level something Grandfathered from previous Editions where this was a Spell?

Thoughts?

Hello All!

We just finished up "Menace Under Otari - Upper Level" and went through the Reporting Process. I had a couple of quick questions for the Board.

1) After Reporting all of my Players gained 4 Rep/Fame, but I couldn't see anywhere that it tracked their XP, Treasure, or Equipment under the My Characters Tab. Is that normal, or did I screw up?

2) I noticed that the Character that I reported for GM Credit only had 2 Rep/Fame. (Does that mean He also has 2XP?) Same Question: Is that normal, or did I screw up?

3) Per the information found here: https://paizo-images.s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/image/download/Beginner+Box +Sanctioning.pdf

I gave each of them 4 XP, 4 Rep, 4 Fame, 4 Prestige, and 14 GP. Not to be a broken record but... Is that normal, or did I screw up?

I am desperately trying to ensure that everyone's Character is Legal & getting all that they have earned. I'm good at running the game/not so good at the Paperwork. (Yet!)

Thanks,
Thul

Greetings All!

I Hope You will forgive me if I am Posting this in the wrong place. My Group is trying to Establish a Pathfinder Society Presence at our Local Gaming Store. (Fourcorners Comics & Games; Gettysburg, PA) To that end I am running Menace Under Otari for a Group of Players who participated in my last (possibly final) D&D 5e Campaign.

I have been running TTRPGs for nearly 34 years, and in preparation to run PF2E: I spent some quality time on the Nonat1 & HowItsPlayed YouTube Channels, Converted my Favorite Basic D&D Adventure Book (Castle Caldwell & Beyond) into PF2E, and purchased physical copies of the available Core Products (To include the remastered Player & GM Core Books, and the Pathfinder Beginner Box). I have also browsed and skimmed the PFS Guide to Organized Play on the Paizo Website.

We have run through the majority of the Menace Under Otari (Upper Level), and plan to finish it/hand out Chronicles, and Report it on 01/28/24. Our first attempt has spawned a few Questions, and I’m Hoping You all can help me answer them. I want to have the Players make any changes to ensure that their Characters are Legal before we Play.

1)We have no Venture Officers here, so who/where do I send our Reporting Form to?

2)Related Question: Do we need to register an Event to have an ID # to report on said form?

3)Our Player of a Leshy Rogue has selected the Bladed Scarf as a Weapon. In addition to the World Traveler Boon, does he need a copy of Treasure Vault to use it? (He is happy to go to a Whip if needed)

4)Our Player of a Half-Elf Kineticist has purchased a Physical Copy of ‘Rage of the Elements’ to make sure She is legal - is there some kind of proof that She needs of that?

5)If there anything else I need to Know before I run the last part of ‘Menace Under Otari (upper Level)’?

Thank You for all of your help (…and Gentleness, I’m new here) in advance,
Thul
