HP 8/8; AC 13/13/11; Fort +2, Ref +2, Will +2 Init +2; Percep +3

Sorry guys ... it was a hell of a week. I'll catch up today!

HP 8/8; AC 13/13/11; Fort +2, Ref +2, Will +2 Init +2; Percep +3

Confidence in the GM DM. I'd be happy if we just leveled up automatically when the Adventure Path indicates the appropriate places. I could care less how much XP I really have.

Anwel ... Just how much of the Adventure Path have you read? Sounds like you know a ridiculously large amount of info for this as a player.

HP 8/8; AC 13/13/11; Fort +2, Ref +2, Will +2 Init +2; Percep +3

@DM_Kudos - Tomorrow (Tuesday 5/22) I'll be attending a state department of education meeting so I'll probably be out of touch all-day. Feel free to be creative with the following if you're so inclined.

Knowledge (Local)> 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25

Or if necessary ... Initiative 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

HP 8/8; AC 13/13/11; Fort +2, Ref +2, Will +2 Init +2; Percep +3

After hearing the description of the fangberries, Garth gets down close to Goat and begins to whisper softly in the animals ear. Garth uses his once/day Speak with Animals to give Goat a description of the berries. Goat will take a Survival +4 to find food once we're in the area of the berries. After a few moments the gnome gives the goat a playful headbutt and then stands to turn to the rest of the party.

"I'm with Green, let's keep going. If it gets dark, it gets dark."

HP 8/8; AC 13/13/11; Fort +2, Ref +2, Will +2 Init +2; Percep +3

Still with a smile on his face, Garth steps up closer to the man and with a wave of us hand casts Prestidigitation. Making the move to clean off his goggles.

The gnome chuckles. "How's that? Little better?"

HP 8/8; AC 13/13/11; Fort +2, Ref +2, Will +2 Init +2; Percep +3

Garth laughs as Goat dashes back to the safety of Dog's flank. "I like how you make an entrance Bokken" and he steps forward with a smile. "Oleg told us you might be in need of assistance or where we might go to help clean this area up."

HP 8/8; AC 13/13/11; Fort +2, Ref +2, Will +2 Init +2; Percep +3

Garth slides off of Dog and looks around at the rest of the group. "Spell gnome to potion maker then?" He takes a few steps towards the hut, bends, pulls up a clump of grass and motions for Goat to follow him.

The gnome starts walking forward whistling an alien-sounding tune. Goat seems to enjoy the sound and follows along munching the grass the greenish gnome is holding.

Garth glances back over his shoulder as he gets closer to the hut. "Anyone else? Green?" he asks with an awkward smile.

Then towards the hut he calls out, "Bokken? We're friends of Oleg." He then repeats the common phrase in elvish, gnome and the lilting tone of sylvan.

HP 8/8; AC 13/13/11; Fort +2, Ref +2, Will +2 Init +2; Percep +3

Garth maneuvers Dog over next to Khargol and turns an eye towards the hut. "Good call Green. Who knows what Oleg might be getting us into here."

Perception > 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16

And at the same time, Garth keeps an eye out for anything that might be magically out of the ordinary.

Knowledge (Arcana) > 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
Spellcraft > 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16

HP 8/8; AC 13/13/11; Fort +2, Ref +2, Will +2 Init +2; Percep +3

Ride > 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19

With a click of the tongue and a squeeze of the knees Dog trots away from Oleg's. Goat follows close behind and Garth smiles as he looks over at the goat. Yeah, I can tell you're happy to be out of that place after a few days.

The same goes for Dog apparently as he picks up the pace a bit and bounds along.

HP 8/8; AC 13/13/11; Fort +2, Ref +2, Will +2 Init +2; Percep +3

Garth's attention pops up at the talk of friendly and not-so-friendly creatures to the southwest but he's ready to travel with the rest of the group. Besides, the thought of a potion brewer could be an exciting way to start off the trip.

Making a quick round of the outpost, the gnome rounds up Goat and Dog to make sure they're both properly watered and fed before heading out.

"Thanks for everything Oleg," Garth yells out as he climbs up onto Dog's back. "Now let's get to adventuring!"

HP 8/8; AC 13/13/11; Fort +2, Ref +2, Will +2 Init +2; Percep +3

Garth has been quietly taking everything in. I like the idea of not running straight at StagLord. That fight went so easy but I think we got lucky.

"Let's just start southeast from here," he finally pipes up. "We came from the east and that should be relatively safe. It will give us a chance to maybe fight together again before he scamper off to take down Lord Sag or whatever his name is!"

HP 8/8; AC 13/13/11; Fort +2, Ref +2, Will +2 Init +2; Percep +3

As I might be playing a tabletop version of Kingmaker a few months from now, I'm all for whatever variation comes our way!! The less variations get mentioned the less people are going to think someone knows what's coming.

HP 8/8; AC 13/13/11; Fort +2, Ref +2, Will +2 Init +2; Percep +3

Green cop, Gnome cop.

HP 8/8; AC 13/13/11; Fort +2, Ref +2, Will +2 Init +2; Percep +3

Garth sits down cross-legged near where Khargol is interrogating Happs. The gnome absent-mindedly begins flicking small orbs of acid at the bound man.

Acid Splash x2:
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

"Seriously Happs. Happs, right? It will be easier to deal with Green here rather than seeing what the dwarf can do with his bow at close range."

Acid Splash:
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
1d3 ⇒ 1

Silent for a few moments as the bandit flinches at the sting of an impending burn. "Or me. At closer range." The gnome chuckles as the glob of acid burns through the leg of Happs pants and sizzles for a few moments against his skin.

HP 8/8; AC 13/13/11; Fort +2, Ref +2, Will +2 Init +2; Percep +3

Garth silently follows the dwarf across the yard. Droplets of acid flick from his fingertips as he walks leaving a small trail of steaming marks for the bound bandits to see. Before entering the shed/stable/building with Bimbur he turns back towards Dog and gives a sharp whistle.

HP 8/8; AC 13/13/11; Fort +2, Ref +2, Will +2 Init +2; Percep +3

From his place on the wall Garth's eyes had widened as he watched everything going on below him. He'd never been in a large battle before and he couldn't believe how quickly it had ended. Got to hit one at least. Glad Green got to pretty much finish him off.

He sees the dwarf looking over the wall into the distance and grabs hold of the wooden palisade. Lifting himself up he does the same. "What'cha looking for out there?"

Perception > 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16

HP 8/8; AC 13/13/11; Fort +2, Ref +2, Will +2 Init +2; Percep +3

That Escalated Quickly

I looked in this morning ready to take my move and there's a bunch of gameplay with everyone already out of combat. Time to catch up!

HP 8/8; AC 13/13/11; Fort +2, Ref +2, Will +2 Init +2; Percep +3

No time like the present to start a fight, huh? Let's do this!

HP 8/8; AC 13/13/11; Fort +2, Ref +2, Will +2 Init +2; Percep +3

Up on the ledge along the wall the little gnome does his best to sneak in between the palisade and dwarf. Just want a better view of who's coming in.

Stealth > 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25

Garth tries to squeeze into the space at V11 to get line of sight on the brigand standing in the doorway (V14). If he gets line of sight on him, he fires off a Force Missile.

Force Missile (hits as Magic Missile) > 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

The gnome gives a little laugh as the silvery dart smashes into the bandit.

HP 8/8; AC 13/13/11; Fort +2, Ref +2, Will +2 Init +2; Percep +3

Kudos, I'm totally fine with you keeping your dice rolls private. In my tabletop games both I (when I GM) and our other GM both do 99% of our rolls privately.

Is it wrong that I look at Khargol's picture and in my head imagine him saying "Ugh Khargol move three square left one down." Damn you gnomish racism!

HP 8/8; AC 13/13/11; Fort +2, Ref +2, Will +2 Init +2; Percep +3

I'm okay with where Garth is placed as long as I won't take too much of a range penalty by being up on the barricade when casting spells down at the ground.

HP 8/8; AC 13/13/11; Fort +2, Ref +2, Will +2 Init +2; Percep +3

Garth is all for bringing on morning and the bandits! Put me and Dog somewhere near the front gate but out of the way to begin with. Goat will be tucked away someplace to keep her out of trouble.

HP 8/8; AC 13/13/11; Fort +2, Ref +2, Will +2 Init +2; Percep +3

The gnome's eyes flick from person to person as he ponders what he's hearing. Oleg's words about the crooks keep rolling around in his head and he tries to remember if he's heard any specifics about thieves working in this area.

Knowledge (Local): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14

Stuffing a gravy-soaked piece of bread into his mouth, Garth chews quickly, swallows and then leans forward so he can get a better look at Oleg. "Oleg, seems like my traveling companions are up for standing with you against these brigands. Can you tell us about what we should expect tomorrow?"

HP 8/8; AC 13/13/11; Fort +2, Ref +2, Will +2 Init +2; Percep +3

Garth's early complaints about the outpost forgotten he climbs up onto a seat next to the dwarf and tucks into the warm home cooked meal. Smiling with greasy lips he expresses his thanks to the cook and then slips a half -eaten insert appropriate fowl here leg under his chair for Dog to dine on.

The gnome turns to his right, reaches his left hand across his chest, flips his hand over so his palm is at least pointed in the direction for a shake and smiles. "We didn't get a formal introduction before. I go by Garth in these parts of the world."

After his quick introduction he stuffs another biscuit dripping with gravy into his mouth.

HP 8/8; AC 13/13/11; Fort +2, Ref +2, Will +2 Init +2; Percep +3

The gnome gives a click of his tongue against his cheek and when Goat doesn't respond he follows up with a bump of his small boot against the goat's hindquarters. The animal gets the hint and peels off before the gate and begins munching grass lazily.

"I know I'm a long way from my father's homestead on the Sellen River but this is Oleg's?" He turns towards the rest of the party with a grimace on his face. "This place is a dump."

He wrinkles his nose. Kind of smells like one too. Sorry Dog.

My apologies to all for being out of touch for so long. I'm sitting in chicago airport now to head back home. I will be sure to get things moving very shortly.

It was a sticky wicket to have vacation right at the start of this campaign but it is over now.

No worries at all. I was in a tabletop Pathfinder / soccer / hockey haze all weekend. Looking forward to getting into the thick of it.

Still, though he doesn't care for Anwel's paranoia, he chooses to wait. The animosity is directed to Garth, first and foremost, and it would be rude to attempt to answer the question before he has had a chance to respond.

I wish to clear something up. Anwel bears no animosity towards Garth, and indeed would like to like him, though there is certainly paranoia at play in his actions. The counterspell serves a double function of getting Garth's attention and signalling that Anwel is also a spellcaster - something that has not been established until this point. If that is not clear from my IC post, please let me know post haste. As we all know, the time which I have left to edit it is limited.

EDIT: the time is now past. Oh well.

No worries brother. I'm not going to start a P-on-P fight but Garth is a Golarion gnome, not one of the boring old school hiding-behind-the-halflings type.

HP 8/8; AC 13/13/11; Fort +2, Ref +2, Will +2 Init +2; Percep +3

Garth squints his eyes at the elf. "Why do you do that what?" He pauses, trying to look stern. The he laughs. "எனக்கு போரடிக்குது"

Elvish:
"I'M BORED!"

He gives a little whistle and Dog trots forward. Glancing back at Khargol steadily leading his pack horse forward along with the limping human.

"אפילו גרין קוקט באָרד"

Orcish:
"Even Green looks bored."

Garth laughs giddily to himself and snaps his fingers.

Snap of the fingers:
The raised hood of Anwel's cloak turns a pale pink that matches Goat's short fur coat.

HP 8/8; AC 13/13/11; Fort +2, Ref +2, Will +2 Init +2; Percep +3

The gnome rides along in silence. Occasionally glancing around as the party moves slowly down the trail. He gives a little whistle, squeezing his knees against the sides of Dog and the hound bounds ahead down the trail.

Garth's rainbow hair flops about as he whistles some kind of tune. He occasionally flicks a hand from side to side. A small glob of liquid flings to the side of the trail sometimes landing on a large leaf - burning a perfect circular hole with a hissing noise.

After a few minutes Dog slows and begins to pace in circles. Garth smiles as Goat slowly plods along the trail with the rest of the party.

HP 8/8; AC 13/13/11; Fort +2, Ref +2, Will +2 Init +2; Percep +3

Watching the elves begin to walk away Garth cocks his head to the side and shrugs his shoulders giving a little Hmmm almost under his breath. "Makes sense" he says to no one in particular, "but flaming hail would be epic.

The gnome turns away from the rest of the party and gives a little whistle. Goat looks up from the bits of grass she was eating, grabs one more clump between her teeth and then begins to walk towards Garth. At a sharper second whistle Garth's other companion leaps over the ditch by the side of the road and comes to a stop next to the gnome.

Garth gives the large golden dog's behind a firm playful thump and then uses both hands to rub its back sides for a few moments. As loose fur glistens in the sunlight, Garth swings himself up onto the back of the large dog.

After a few moments the dog (with Goat at its side) has caught up to the slow moving elves. Garth turns to Anwel and speaking in what is almost a song, "ขอขอบคุณและตอบสนองความชุ่มชื่น".

Elvish:
"Thank you and merry meet."

Google Translate - English to Tamil. Thought it looked good for Elvish but oddly enough it doesn't translate back into English.

HP 8/8; AC 13/13/11; Fort +2, Ref +2, Will +2 Init +2; Percep +3

Garth laughs nervously and edges over to Khargol. He gives him an elbow nudge in the lower thigh. He looks nearly straight up, grins, and whispers. "Psst! Hey Green." The gnome waits for a moment to realize he's down there and then says a little louder, "What's tactics?"

Tell me how you change that and I'll be happy with that! I'm still trying to figure that out...

And I would always love to see a riding dog. Its a funny thing in my head but anywho...

By editing the profile of the Alias you can add the initiative and perception modifiers into the Classes/Level field and everything else into the Gender field. Seems like this is the common info that a lot of other campaign threads have.

I'll definitely work up the stats for a Riding Dog later tonight via Hero Lab and I'll get him added to my profile. "A gnome, a goat and a dog walk into a bar ..." insert punchline here.

HP 8/8; AC 13/13/11; Fort +2, Ref +2, Will +2 Init +2; Percep +3

Garth smiles up at the human and turns to look back at the pinkish goat. "Goat the goat?" He jerks his thumb over his shoulder and smiles. "She's just kind of along for the ride right now. Goats enjoy a bit of adventure now and again too you know. Kind of nimble on her feet too."

He turns to the thin dwarf and swings back his cloak showing off the diminutive crossbow he has slung at his side. "Know what you mean brother, nothing says adventure quite like the twang of a bow string." The gnome closes his eyes for a moment and a huge grin widens across his face and then he adds, "Well perhaps a storm of flaming icy hail says adventure in a different way but that's the stuff of legend."

He hops to his feet and he's not much taller than when he was sitting by the side of the road on a somewhat largish rock. "And I'm with Green over there. Let's get to getting to the trading post."

Does anyone have a preference for how things appear bolded along with our name?

I've seen a few that get pretty complex. For example:

(HP 8/13 - AC 17/11T/16FF - SV F+3, R+1, W+5 Perception +6, Initiative +2)

HP 8/8; AC 13/13/11; Fort +2, Ref +2, Will +2 Init +2; Percep +3

Quick question ... Garth's riding animal from the Pioneer trait? Pony or riding dog? Since Anwel so excellently described his mount as a palomino, I'd be happy to have a riding dog that looks the same.

HP 8/8; AC 13/13/11; Fort +2, Ref +2, Will +2 Init +2; Percep +3

The gnome runs his hands back through his multi-colored hair, laying it flat for a moment. Snapping his fingers as his hands drop back to his sides the hair naturally springs back. He cranes his neck to look at the tall folks around around. You all can call me Garth. Can't say I'm too keen on the thought of bandits but if there is adventure to be had in the ... his voice trails off as he looks over at the half-orc ... Oh yeah, in the Greenbelt. Then I'm all for it.

He drops his voice to a whisper and adds And a way back to the First World.

Thanks Kudos! I'm really looking forward to this.
