Four bright lights appear a short ways away. They start moving, slowly, bobbing in the air.

They will come to a stop a few meters ahead of the orc. They will make sure to remain out of his reach, though, and will try and lead him away.

Erine would you mind clarifying if your luring the orc to us so we can ambush it or if you are luring it away.

Black Tom, if the orc is being lured into an ambush I ready action charge.

Garron shrugs at Broccan.

"All this talk of casting spells or shooting arrows makes no difference to me. My style of combat is a little out of range here, so I'll sit and wait out of sight. If I'm not needed no point risking getting seen. If you plan on luring the brute into a trap let me know. I'll happily take part in an ambush."

M Dwarf Monk 1

i think goat can talk to you, dont know about the rest of us

Garron sits down on a nearby log and quietly waits.

M Dwarf Monk 1

(Whispering) "Well we can't go in there without seeing what we're up against first, and shes least likely to be seen."

M Dwarf Monk 1

"Tiana perhaps you would like to quietly scout ahead?"

Garron checks his backpack.

"Well I was hoping for a warm meal, but I got enough rations to last us all two days. Besides making sure we all have enough food I am ready. Crommard how far are the ruins?"

M Dwarf Monk 1

"Aren't we a bit pressed for time? We should move quicky incase there are survivors who need help."

Canvy looks across at the altercation, disinterested. Using his impressive frame he moves through the crowd round the bar, making himself available for the barman to pour him a drink. He pulls a small bag from his pocket and drops a couple of copper pieces on the bar, taking a foaming mug of dark ale in exchange. He moves away from the bar and watches as his new found friends seem to want to get involved with this fracas.

Inwardly he is quite gleeful something might kick off, so surveys the room for the most experienced opponent that might challenge his skills in a fight.

we're not in a bar btw

we're out on the street

As you make your way to the Hungry Gar your attention is drawn by a small mob

Pointing at Sanstree "My friend looks for a curse upon you. Maybe he will find one maybe he wont but it is not for you to decide if this man is guilty. Leave him alone.

ready action grapple with the leader if i or the old man get attacked. i'm assuming there is a leader and hes the one doing the talking

M Dwarf Monk 1

Garron steps toward the mob, only pausing for a second to look back at his friends and wink.

Pushing his way into the middle of the crowd until he can see the old man, Garron then yells out "You guys better get outta here quick! The sheriff is on his way"

1d20 - 3 ⇒ (13) - 3 = 10

Come on then, Ol' fella, I'd be glad to buy ya a meal at the Gar.

"Aye sounds good."

but that dwarf is very big and he looks frightful. Maybe they plan on dining on the both of us?

"Listen kid you ever heard of a meat eating monk before? Besides your coming with us aren't you? In search of gold or fame or whatever, the point is there will be plenty of opportunities for you and your goat to get eaten by all sorts of monsters later.

wont be posting for next couple hours just fyi.
my character is pretty much made i just need to type it up

M Dwarf Monk 1

The Dwarf eyes you suspiciously

"Looking for a better life huh? You know most people couldn't find a better life with a thousand years to try."
You think the dwarf could be smiling at you but it looks more like a twisted snarl "On the other hand your naiveness may prove entertaining and I could do with some food... Call me Garron"

M Dwarf Monk 1

What a strange looking group... two men, a gnome and a goat. Time to see if i can make it through the center of Diamond Lake without an incident"

Oi, how 'bout that feller there (points to Grim). Ol' Man Dourstone is tough as nails, I'm guessin' that goes for most any dwarf. And look at his face; he's been in a ser'yus scrappertwo I'd wager.

(whispering) Ya think he'd come withhus?

"YEAH THAT'S RIGHT POINT AT THE UGLY DWARF AND WHISPER JOKES WITH YOUR FRIENDS!"

Sorry i am Late

Name: Garron Grim
Race: Dwarf
Class: Monk
Alignment: LN

Spoiler:

Background:
Scars have often been seen as marks of bravery for the dignified warrior, not so were Garrons. Marked from birth Garrons "Scars" were the kind people stare at and laugh at. As he got older his mother and father "Suggested" he join the Monks of Irori assuring him that he would be happier there... away from public view.

A few years of discipline and hard work later...

Garron steps out into the world; An honorable but still ugly Monk. Trusting in his faith and his training that he could withstand the slings and arrows he was used to as a child.

MANY years of slings and arrows later...

Garron comes to understand the sick irony in becoming a Monk; Becoming "One with everything" is a lot easier when you're born as ugly as the world around you.

spoilered for maximum protection against giant wall of text related injuries.

"Maybe Diamond Lake will prove a friendlier place... but i doubt it." Heading into the town, Garron casually walks the streets looking of a place he might trade work for food and shelter.

Black Tom

Spoiler:

I'm only going monk 1 level. level 2 onwards i plan on going rogue.

I was wondering If you mind me role playing this in-game.
i just think it would be cool if occasionally i acted i bit more CN / CG then LN. and then at level two when i pick up rogue my alignment can shift accordingly.

think it would be fun to RP the monk right before he snaps and gives into thievery and misconduct : P

was hoping for fitting a couple levels of fighter for this guy, and I was hoping for negative channeling. Although this guy is classed as a cleric, I kinda thought him a rather strange fighter, but hey.

this is almost exactly what i was going to do :P i was leaning more toward cleric/barb.

here's my(Wessels) monk.
