Fluff:

Description: A 6'6" armor-plated mountain with legs. His eyes are as blue as a clear mountain sky, his face is set like weathered stone (craggy and often unyielding). His hair is slate gray with flecks of white showing through. If asked his age he would probably say 39.
A third generation crusader, Garrison knows little outside his life as guard and instructor within the Kenabres military. He sleeps in the barracks, and eats in the mess hall, and only fraternizes with those of equal rank.
Garrison believes in the crusades, but the constant war, and the endless losses of comrades, and close family have pushed this faith to the breaking point. In fact, he goes through his days now more out of habit than any real joy in living, hiding his melancholy under a shell of dutiful military brusqueness.
He has some ambiguous relationship with Terendelev (or some other non-or-superhuman being with a rank far above his--his depression and dedication to duty keeping him from actively seeking advancement). If he knows Terendelev, he was present when the silver dragon was "tarnished" in the events described in Dragon's Revisited, and whatever relations they shared cooled in the wake of that event.
He has a scar on his face, she gave him with her claw.

She is too caught up in her duties to notice him, but he doesn't seem to notice anyone else, until she is gone, and then he is a guardsman once more.
