Hi everyone. Due to time commitments, I am unfortunately have to drop from this game. I had lots of fun. I wish everyone the best of luck.

Has anyone heard from the GM? I'm assuming this game has ended?

Since this game is technically a playtest of Occult Mysteries, and the playtest ends in a few days, will this game continue after the playtest ends?

Seeing his allies come to his aid, Garris yells a challenge, "Is that all you got you overgrown uglies? My Grandafter's bones put up more of a fight than you!"

And with that, he swings his hammer in a circle, aiming for the heads of all his foes...

mammoth 1: 1d20 + 19 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 19 + 2 = 31 damage: 2d6 + 27 ⇒ (1, 3) + 27 = 31
mammoth 2: 1d20 + 19 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 19 + 2 = 27 damage: 2d6 + 27 ⇒ (2, 1) + 27 = 30
giant 2: 1d20 + 19 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 19 + 2 = 22 damage: 2d6 + 27 ⇒ (5, 2) + 27 = 34

If any of the enemies fall from my attacks, Improved Cleaving Finish kicks in and I get additional cleave attacks.

GM - can you please give me an update on which enemies are left and which look to be the most hurt? I ask because of the potential for activating Cleaving Finish...

Heal to Determine which foes look the most hurt: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (6) + 17 = 23

First gore attack misses. Garris has 24/7 Blurr (anything below a 20)...factoring that in, the attacks that hit are...

1st Slam: 1d100 ⇒ 24 - hit, 14 damage
1st Stomp: 1d100 ⇒ 7 - miss
2nd Stomp: 1d100 ⇒ 53 - hit, 10 damage
2nd Gore: 1d100 ⇒ 90 - hit, 17 damage
1st Greatclub: 1d100 ⇒ 5 - miss

Garris takes 41 damage from attacks minus 6 damage from -2 DR/attack = 35 damage total 124 HP remaining.

Whose turn is it?

Sorry for the confusion.

Is this the same giant I attacked earlier?

Garris takes advantage of his dimwitted foe and smashes the giant over the head as it tries to pick up his lost weapon.

Attack of Opportunity: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (13) + 19 = 32 Damage: 2d6 + 27 ⇒ (3, 3) + 27 = 33

Earth Blessing would be a standard action, Sacred Armor would be a swift action. I get the two mixed up.

OK. So, then Garris did not attack this round.

So blessings ARE swift actions?

Shields up! Realizing that he is the first into combat with the giants, Garris gives a short Prayer to Torag for his blessing.

Activating 'Armor of Earth'. Garris gains DR 2/- for one min, in addition to his other defenses. Assuming this is a standard action?

And, if blessings are a swift action.. With his prayer complete, Garris steadies his feet to give another stunning blow with this mighty hammer.

Clerave Attack on Giant: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (14) + 19 = 33 and damage: 2d6 + 27 ⇒ (6, 1) + 27 = 34

Clerave Attack on Mount: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (15) + 19 = 34 and damage: 2d6 + 27 ⇒ (5, 3) + 27 = 35

Defenses = AC 24, DR 2/-, 20% miss chance, 25% to negate crit and sneak attacks

Forgot to mention that Garris uses a swift action to activate this Sacred Armor ability after he attacks. He gives a +2 to his AC and gains Fortification (light) ability to his armor.

So, current defenses are:
AC = 26
20% miss chance
25% fortification

This will last for 1min/level

Garris follows Malakan into battle, his short stubby legs lagging behind. When he reaches them, he takes his mighty hammer to cleave everything in his sight, starting with the giant that Malakan attacked.

Great Cleave to attack first giant and his mount

hammer 1st attack-rider: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (1) + 19 = 20 damage: 2d6 + 27 ⇒ (6, 4) + 27 = 37
hammer 2nd attack-mount: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (17) + 19 = 36 damage: 2d6 + 27 ⇒ (5, 4) + 27 = 36

and, if other giant/rider are adjacent to the first...

hammer 3rd attack-2nd giant: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (7) + 19 = 26 damage: 2d6 + 27 ⇒ (4, 4) + 27 = 35
hammer 4th attack-2nd mount: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (19) + 19 = 38 damage: 2d6 + 27 ⇒ (2, 4) + 27 = 33

That's cuz I gots cleric initiative!

Garris sneaks around to provide flank with Malakan. He then lifts the heavy warhammer above his head and lets it come down with a powerful SMASH.

Swift action to cast Divine Favor

Attack 1 = +1 Adamantine Dwarven Longhammer of the Greyflame: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (11) + 19 = 30 damage: 2d6 + 27 ⇒ (5, 1) + 27 = 33

Attack 2 = +1 Adamantine Dwarven Longhammer of the Greyflame: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (2) + 14 = 16 damage: 2d6 + 27 ⇒ (6, 4) + 27 = 37

Garris catches up to Malakan and peers over the edge, trying his best to hide, forgetting that he is invisible. If anyone could see him, it would be a very comical sight.

Stealth, taking 10 = 29 stealth

or roll, if needed: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (7) + 19 = 26

"I'm coming. Don't rush me son." Garris says grumpily.

I hate climbing more than I do flying. Why can't we just go underground like normal adventurers...is that so much to ask?

Just realized that I didn't have an alignment. Filled in the blank as 'NG'.

Garris feels the spell take hold of his body. He looks towards the half-orc, "Do the thing, Malakan."

Are the horns near the edge of the platform?

My thought is that - on the platform we attack - we can simply push the horn off the edge before the giant gets a chance to use it. The platform is tall enough that the fall will damage the horn beyond use so that anyone that may be on the ground still won't be able to call for help. Instead, they would be forced to climb the tower - meaning we would have the higher ground.

I'm fine with the plan save I don't think we need to Silence both towers. If one of us sunders the horn of the tower we are attacking, then we can save on spells.

"Grimm, how are the alarm horns attached? Cutting them from the tower may be more affective than destroying them outright."

Your right, nevermind. I was thinking that creatures in the area get a save, but, they don't (for whatever reason).

Garris lands next to his comrades with desperation in his eyes, "Dwarves were not meant to fly..."

"I can pray to mighty Torag for such an ability. But, the strength he grants me is typically of might, not magic."

Translation- I have Silence on my spell list, but, it will have a low-ish DC so the spell will likely fail. I'm willing to give it a try, though.

Forgot to mention that my celestial armor/shield combo gives me overland flight or fly 1/day. I can also cast feather fall at will. None of these are on my spell list, however.

Offended, Garris says, "What kind of respectable dwarf would you think I would be if I could not bend mere stone to my will? Earth is Torag's domain and so I am its master."

We can use Hairline Fractures and Ant Hull (both lvl 1 cleric spells) to break the stone and movie it with ease. I also have Shape Stone (3rd level spell) on my list as well. Transmute Rock is a 5th level spell, so that will be a pricy scroll. I left plenty of spell slots open each day for such an occasion.

Sure. I'll take pride. I'm skill starved so it works out all right for me.

Do we, as characters, know the "master plan" of why the shards are needed by the Pathfinder Society?

A dwarf clad in shining armor and wielding a longhammer as a cane steps forth, "Bah, I never trusted those blasted things. I, for one, don't want to give Malakan another one of those stones."

I can go with either Gluttony or Pride. How many ioun stones are we limited to?
