"As far as I can tell, it protects the wearer from damage from cold. The other tunnel was just like this one, also with a magical item, but her's was something that could potentially damage the mind and should be wary of it. Think this one has the same problems Mahb? Gabriel flies out of the hole in the morning, and a flying scorpion hovers around him as he does. Gabriel lands, and Anton will land on his shoulder. "Good to have you back, old friend" he will murmur to the insect, rubbing one finger lightly on the creature's back.

"Mahb, did you find anything interesting down your hall, before old nimble there woke his ghost?"

"Nah - tricksy spell, won't let you do that" That's my understanding, anyway, due to the "the rope cannot be removed or hidden" line in the spell... Gabriel pulls out another wand. "Not a problem - I can just set an alarm." Once everyone is up, he flies up right to the entrance, uses the alarm wand, then enters the space.

Casting Alarm, 30 hour duration, audible alarm, centered around the rope. With the alarm enabled, we shouldn't need to keep a watch, right? Since the alarm will wake us up if anything comes within 20ft of the rope?

As for spell selection, I have nothing in particular, though anything to deal with ghosts/undead seems very helpful here. Given your difficulty with climbing the rope, maybe a fly spell too :D. Though I guess it also bears mentioning that you can take 10 on climb checks, and climbing a rope is DC10, so there is always that too.

Gabriel shrugs and says "We can backtrack a bit if you'd sleep better, s'long as we sleep. Gettin' too old to be wandering about this late."

Flying back up and out the stairs, Gabriel continues until they find a spot Mahb is comfortable with. Then he pulls out another wand, and with a flick of the wrist, causes a rope to appear in front of him. "You got any tricks for hiding the rope while we sleep, or you want me to alarm it?"

I thought we were still in the same area what we originally teleported to via the medusa carving on the floor, from this post:

Gabriel rolls his head around a little before pulling a wand out of his quiver. "Let's see what we can do about that... You all might want to back up, though, just in case." He waits for the others to back up at least 30 feet, then he focuses for a moment, and points the wand at the plate.

Assuming that works...

Replacing the wand in his quiver, he will then go to work on the four locks, disabling them while hovering in the air 25ft away.

Taking 10 on 4 disable device checks, for a result of 41 each, using telekinetic finesse to do so at close range. Assuming that works...

Gabriel flicks his wrist, and says "Open Sesame", and removes the plate with his telekinesis. Either mimicking the open/close cantrip if it is a door, or just moving the thing out of the way if not.

Gabriel flies into the room and examines the metallic plate. "A trap of some kind? Not a very well hidden one."

So Mahb took the first two to max her new lower HP pool, and Vars took the second two, bringing him up to 55/94

Gabriel hands the wand back to Mahb, then floats quickly back from Vars as he goes to town on the pillar. He'll fade from sight telekinetic invisibility then bring up a bubble around him Using Force Barrier repeatedly (acts like a Wall of Force, but is shaped in a sphere around my space) for however many rounds it takes Vars to kill the vicious pillar of doom, just in case he pisses the ghost off again...

Gabriel takes the wand from Mahb and begins healing both of them.

Gabriel shrugs and drops his hand. "I don't see her around anymore. I guess we won?" Gabriel flies toward the pillar where she disappeared and examines it and the room around it.

"Looks like the pillar has an inscription: Ursula, 4191–4222. Wonder if it's a tombstone of sorts?" As he continues to look around, he spots something past the pillar. "Looks like there's a hidden door here!"

Looking at Vars, he says "I missed the start of that - what'd you do to piss off the ghost?"

"Heh, nice try, girly" Gabriel chuckles, as he begins to fly straight forward toward the ghost, "but not good enough!" After moving forward 30 feet, Gabriel extends his arm to the left, and a bolt of lightning shoots out from his extended hand. Instead of hitting the side of the room, though, the bolt curves around the wall of force, and streaks back in toward the ghost from the west.

Move action to move forward, then standard action to use a Snaking Electric Blast, 0 burn, allows me to send my blast along any open path I can draw, as long as the total length traveled is 120ft or less.
Ranged touch attack: 1d20 + 26 ⇒ (12) + 26 = 38

Is my See Invisibility wand use from earlier still active? It has a 150 minute duration. Can See Invisibility allow me to see exactly where the wall is placed and how big it is? I'm trying to figure out if the wall is completely cutting me off, wall to wall and floor to ceiling, or if there are any routes through.

Gabriel raises an eyebrow at the appearance of the new figure, unsure of what is going on, but holds his next shot just in case the ghost listens.

Ready an action to fire a Magnetic Extended Electric Blast at the apparition if it takes any hostile actions.

"No ya don't, girly" Gabriel grunts as the ghost makes to attack again. A singular bolt of lightning shoots out from his raised hand, streaking across the room.

Sorry guys, I messed up - I was really busy with work stuff when my turn came up, and then I completely forgot that my turn was up. I will go ahead and post now (before I forget again), but will understand if others want to drop things.

Seeing the ghostly being, Gabriel's eyes widen briefly. "Done pissed off a ghost, fool? Not good." Don't let it touch you, Gabe... Stopping just barely in range, Gabriel begins to charge up, swirling bolts of electricity swarming in toward him, searing flashes of light and loud cracks of thunder bouncing off the walls. He then extends his hand, and a steady stream of water comes gushing forth, with streams of electricity coursing through the water. The shot just barely edges past Vars and slams into the ghostly figure.

Move action to gather power, Standard action to fire a Magnetic Extended Charged Water Blast - range of 120ft, and if it hits she becomes magnetic and everyone gets +4 on hits with metal weapons until my next turn. Damage is half electricity and half bludgeoning.
Attack: 1d20 + 26 ⇒ (8) + 26 = 34

Really wishing now I had gone with the Chain infusion rather than the Snake infusion, would be very handy here to have spammable chain lightning...

Does one round (60 ft of movement) get me close enough to Vars to be able to see what's going on? My kinetic blast has a great range, potentially up to 480ft, if I can visually make out the battle scene

Note that I want to move just until I can see them, and absolutely no closer. Con drain is very very bad for me.

I think the most distance I can possibly cover in one round is 60ft. I have a 15ft walk speed, and a 30ft fly speed. I could run using my walk speed (4x15ft), double-move using my fly speed (2x30ft), or fly using a single move after using a standard to give me haste for one round (2x30ft). I can't run using my fly speed, and can't double-move and use celerity. Unless there is something I'm not thinking of, based on what you said just now it will take me two rounds to get there, yeah?

Gabriel was hovering in front of the sarcophagus, contemplating whether or not to open it up by himself or go get the others, when Rasil's call comes echoing down the hall. That answers that question - let's go see what foolishness they've gotten into. Bolts of electricity flows over his skin, as he then flies off for about 60 feet. He then charges up and does it again.

Alternating between Celerity to give myself haste for 1 round and flying at hasted speed (normal fly is 60ft, my movement speed is halved to 30, haste doubles it back to 60). This should give me the +1 to AC from haste if anything accosts me along the way. How many rounds does it take me to reach Vars at 60ft per round?

Gabriel pulls the key back out again and stores it. "At least we know now where to go when we get the other two. Let's go see if we can find them." Gabriel will fade from sight again and fly on further into the building.

Gabriel will examine the carving. "The face has four different weird things to it; a keyhole in the right eye, a starburst indentation in the left eye, a thin slot in the mouth, and an oval indentation in the chin. We also know four things are needed to get into Bartolomae’s crypt. Could this be related?"

Gabriel will take out the key they found earlier and see if it fits in the right eye.

"Well, guess it's alright then" Gabriel says with a shrug. Invisibility still up and active, he'll hobble forward on foot, his cane making a faint, ghostly tap, tap, tap as he goes. "See you on the other side, Rasil." With that, he makes it to the medusa head.

"Vars!" Gabriel shouts out, trying in vain to stop the warrior. When he vanishes, Gabriel's shoulders slump down, and he says with a sigh "Crap". To the others, he says "The carving has a conjuration aura, definitely magic. Conjuration isn't my speciality, but looks like a teleportation of some kind. What do you think Mahb?"

While Rasil and Vars are bickering about who goes first, Gabriel will scout ahead, while flying and invisible. He'll keep an eye out for any enemies or traps.

Taking 10 on perception checks for a score of 35, and on stealth checks for a score of 40 (counting the +10 from telekinetic invisibility). In the event of combat, remember that I always act in the surprise round - if one is initiated with no threat immediately visible, Gabriel will bring up Force Barrier. I also still have See Invisibility up.

I have no interest in any of those ion stones. Not sure the +1CL would apply to me, already have a +2 enhancement bonus to Wisdom from ABP, and am just fine breathing on my own :)

Gabriel snorts at the romantic exchange between the two, and quickly collects the remaining loot. He then fades from view again and moves to join Rasil heading south.

The rest seemed like party-items, so I just collected them, not to personally keep.

Gabriel once more takes a deep breath, and a large and loud display of energy begins to swirl around him. It almost looks like droplets of water are being pulled out of the air around him. He then lets loose another spray of water, this time lacking the streaks of electricity.

Seeing one of Rasil's arrows strike home, and sensing that an attack would go well, Gabriel takes aim for the same creature. He gathers his power, causing a loud, swirling mass of energy to appear centered around his invisible self, then releases a torrent of water streaked with electricity flowing straight toward the injured foe.

Using my prescience die result of 13 for a total attack roll of 13+28=41. PBS bonus has been applied. Using empowered charged water blast, total burn cost of 3, reduced by 2 from gather power move action, and spending my last 1 from the internal buffer to cover the other 1, so take 0 burn.
Damage: 16d6 + 34 ⇒ (1, 3, 3, 6, 2, 1, 4, 5, 4, 6, 5, 6, 4, 4, 3, 6) + 34 = 97
Empowered damage then would be 97*1.5, or 145.5, half bludgeoning and half electricity

Now back in plain view, his invisibility shattered by his attack, Gabriel grins and says "Hi sunshine" with a little wave.

Seeing these new foes target Vars and nearly knock him out, Gabriel calls upon his abilities, and a wave of electricity passes through his allies, energizing them. He puts some extra umph into it, causing the effect to linger on.

Standard action to use celerity, which acts as haste but with a shorter duration. Going to use a point of burn out of my internal buffer in order to extend the duration to 15 rounds. Everyone should be grouped close enough together to all benefit from it, since the furthest two apart are Vars and Mahb, and they are 30ft. So everyone has haste for 15 rounds.

Still benefiting from his invisibility, Gabriel will fly off to one corner of the room, and prepare himself for the next round.

Haste gives +1 to normal and touch AC and reflex saves - you want me to update my stat line to reflect that, or will you just account for that yourself?

Agreed, I'd much rather have Mahb join back in than trying to find a replacement. For what it's worth, I'd be fine with her just being there with us now, having just stayed quiet since picking up the dagger, rather than working up some story for why she wasn't here. This is the first combat we've seen since then, so she hasn't missed any action.
