Yama finds some sort of circuit built into the guards' arms but they have been destroyed by the fight.

A quick check of the door lets the group know that it is secured with a RFID lock.

A few minutes later, you have recuperated from the battle and are ready to press on.

Defense: 2d6 ⇒ (3, 3) = 6

The robot crumples into a heap as Miyuku smashes into it. <"...circuit's dead...something wrong...">

The guard erupts into sparks for a moment before going completely still.

T: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 6) = 12
Y: 2d6 ⇒ (3, 3) = 6

The guard expertly dodges Tree's punch, but Yama's bullet puts the robotic guard on the verge of defeat.

He's got 1 hit point left.

Round 12: Yama, Miyuku, Tree, Guard

Y: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 6) = 7
T: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 4) = 10
M: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 2) = 8

The guard manages to avoid the melee attacks but Yama's bullet catches it.

Round 12: Yama, Miyuku, Tree, Guard

I'm just trying to minimize the amount of posts I make just for defense rolls.

Defense (M): 2d6 ⇒ (4, 2) = 6
Defense (T): 2d6 ⇒ (3, 4) = 7

The guard takes a couple hard shots before striking at Miyuku.

4d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 3, 4) = 16; DX 3

GM Notes:
A2 hp: 15

Round 11: Yama, Miyuku, Tree, Guard

Defense: 2d6 ⇒ (3, 3) = 6

The bullet tears through the android, oil and corrosive fluids flowing from it. Yama also notes that it's armor isn't effective anymore for some reason.

GM Notes:
A2 hp: 23

Round 10: Yama, Miyuku, Tree, Guard

Defense: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 5) = 7

The robot dodges, in a move reminiscent of a professional boxer, and throws a punch at Tree.

Counter-punch!: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 6, 5) = 15

Round 10: Yama, Miyuku, Tree, Guard

Defense: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 3) = 9

Miyuku's kick lands hard, strangely more effective against this android than the last.

GM Notes:
A2 hp: 30

Actually, with your abilities, you roll 7d6 and your DX is 3. There are just no perks to it.

You can make an attack at your base attack and dx.

Round 9: Yama, Miyuku, Tree, Guard

A2 hp: 33

Round 9: Yama, Miyuku, Tree, Guard

Defense: 2d6 ⇒ (4, 5) = 9

The robot seems to mock Tree before punching him.

Attack: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 2, 5) = 17

Defense: 2d6 ⇒ (4, 2) = 6

The second robot takes a bullet to its chest.

GM Notes:
A2 hp: 33

Defense: 2d6 ⇒ (3, 5) = 8

The robot shudders and collapses in a shower of sparks.

Defense: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 5) = 7

Tree's fist slams into the robot and it finally seems to be on the verge of being destroyed. The two robots punch the orc.

Attack: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 4, 4) = 15
Attack: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 4, 1) = 11

GM Notes:
A1: 1
A2: 36

Round 8: Yama, Miyuku, Tree, Guards

Defense(Y): 2d6 ⇒ (3, 4) = 7
Defense(M): 2d6 ⇒ (6, 4) = 10

As far as I know, I'm running this correctly.

Yama manages her knife in it while Miyuku's bullet does further damage.

GM Notes:
A1 hp: 5
A2 hp: 36

The guard punches at Miyuku while the other pursues Tree.

Vs. Miyuku: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 1, 5) = 8; DX 3
Vs. Tree: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 4, 2) = 17

Round 7: Yama, Miyuku, Tree, Guards

Defense: 2d6 ⇒ (5, 6) = 11

The bullets punch through the robot, but the automaton still stands.

GM Notes:
A1 hp: 11
A2 hp: 36

Defense: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 5) = 7

Yama puts another ding in the robot.

GM Notes:
A1 hp: 14
A2 hp: 36

Round 6: Yama, Miyuku, Tree, Guards

Defense: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 1) = 7

Again, the guard proves too agile for Tree.

Defense: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 3) = 4

Again, Miyuku connects, but the plating on the guards prevents any sort of damage. She soon realizes that the guards are robots.

The guards drop their guns, their charges spent and switch to their fists.

Vs. Miyuku: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 2, 2) = 10; DX 3
Vs. Tree: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 1, 6) = 14

Round 6: Yama, Miyuku, Tree, Guards

Defense: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 5) = 6

GM Notes:
A1: 18
A2: 36

Round 5: Yama, Miyuku, Tree, Guards

Defense: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 3) = 9

The guard sidesteps the punch with ease.

I really need to reduce the health of these guards. This combat takes forever...Maybe less armor too. I'll just say these are the toughest ones because they're guarding the outside.

Defense: 2d6 ⇒ (5, 2) = 7

The guard takes Miyuku's kick, but, with its armor, the attack has no effect. The two guards shoot at Miyuku and Tree again.

vs Miyuku: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 3, 3) = 11; 6, DX 5
vs Tree: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 3, 1) = 13; 5

GM Notes:
A1: 22
A2: 36

Round 5: Yama, Miyuku, Tree, Guards

No, subtract your armor from the damage.

Take 5 damage and then you can take your action.

Defense vs Yama: 2d6 ⇒ (3, 6) = 9
Defense vs Tree: 2d6 ⇒ (4, 1) = 5

Yama's bullet finds its target once again and Tree's charged fist smashes into the guard's face.

GM Notes:
A1: 22
A2: 36

Round 4: Yama, Miyuku (plus a Defense Roll), Tree, Guards

The two guards shoot at Miyuku and Tree. (DX 5)

Vs. Miyuku: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 6, 6) = 21; 12
Vs. Tree: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 1, 4) = 13; 12

Round 4: Yama, Miyuku, Tree (action declared), Guards

Defense: 2d6 ⇒ (4, 5) = 9

The guard is able to see Yama's attack coming and moves out of the way.

-Posted with Wayfinder

Defense: 2d6 ⇒ (4, 4) = 8

The guard moves out of the way of Tree's punch, then opens fire on him. The other guard shoots at Yama.

Vs. Yama: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 6, 2) = 19; 12; DX 5
Vs. Tree: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 5, 5) = 16; 10

Round 3: Yama, Miyuku, Tree, Guards

Defense: 2d6 ⇒ (3, 2) = 5

Miyuku's bullet still has a slightly diminished effect, but it is effective nonetheless.

GM Notes:
A1: 26

Defense: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 4) = 5

The bullet connects with the wounded guard, its armor reducing the damage a bit.

GM Notes:
A1 hp: 29

Round 2: Yama, Miyuku, Tree, Guards

The non-wounded guard pulls his laser rifle and fires at Tree.

Attack: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 4, 3) = 18; 6; DX 5

Defense: 2d6 ⇒ (4, 3) = 7

Guards: 2d6 ⇒ (3, 2) = 5

Round 1: Yama, Miyuku, Tree, Guards

Yama sees more figures inside the building. She also notices that the movements of the two people making patrols don't seem quite human.

From where you sit, you see a couple figures patrolling the front of the building. They appear to be carrying firearms.

Let me see about some copy-pasta magic.

She smirks at her mother's comment, "The caffeine helps with that....and do ya hafta do that to my hair? It's already gonna be a bi...pain to brush out. It seems to have a mind of it's own these days." She takes another big swig of her coffee before finishing the food on her plate. Getting up, she takes her dirty dishes to the sink and rinses them off while looking back at her mom and smiling ever so sweetly. She then trots back over to the couch and sits on the floor while leaning back and nursing the rest of what's left of her coffee.

**

Tree turns to Miyuku. "Did you rest well?"

**

Getting up from her spot on the floor, Yama takes her mug back to the kitchen and fills it about half way with some more coffee before getting a mug for her mom and filling it. She adds plenty of sugar and milk to hers, while leaving her mom's coffee black. Taking the two mugs, she makes her way back over to the couch and hands her mom the mug before sitting back down herself to sip on this bit of coffee a little slower.

Looking up at Tree she says, "Eh...she probably "rested" okay...but, it would probably be a good idea for her to be out in the sun for a couple hours today. I'm sure we can find a way to do that right? She needs the sun to....recharge her batteries so to speak." She looks over at her mom with an innocent half smile, "It's today that you need to do that right? Sometimes it's hard to keep track. I know I could go for a bit of an outing....we were gonna do that today right?" It's hard for her to keep the excitement out of her voice, but she makes a valiant effort.

Those are the final posts after your last post, Miyuku.

Desert Child (Katapesh): You were born and raised in southern Katapesh, in the rocky deserts that border Nex. You are accustomed to high temperatures and gain a +4 trait bonus on any saving throws made to resist the effects of being in hot conditions, and a +1 trait bonus on all saving throws against fire effect

Gnoll Killer: You grew up in rural Katapesh, in a region where gnoll activity was a fact of life. You killed your first gnoll at a young age when a group of gnoll slavers attacked your village, home, or caravan, and your hatred of gnolls has only grown since then. Something
in your past fueled your hatred of gnolls even further— perhaps your family was slaughtered by gnolls, or maybe you even served a few harrowing weeks as a prisoner of a gnoll tribe before a miraculous escape. When you heard that Garavel was looking for brave men and women to aid in retaking the village of Kelmarane from a tribe of gnolls in the service of the notorious Carrion King, you knew you had to be part of the group, and signed up immediately. You gain a +1 trait bonus on attack rolls and weapon damage rolls made against gnolls. If you are
a barbarian and you’re fighting gnolls, your rage lasts 1 round longer than normal. If you’re a ranger and you select humanoid (gnoll) as a favored enemy, your trait bonus on attack rolls and weapon damage rolls against gnolls increases to +2. If you’re a spellcaster, you gain

History

Spoiler:

Sefu grew up among the deserts and wilderness of Katapesh. He was among the nomads of Katapesh, roaming wide and free. His people hunted herded and traded across Katapesh. Sefu killed his first gnoll at a young age, she learned the spear and the sword and walked the camps of his people as they slavers where always close. He learned to hate the cretins, like scavengers living off of others. He spent his years among the southern hills, walked the sand and came to love the land like most of his people. Yet Sefu had more of a calling , a yearning to be more with the land he loved. He had to know more and on his 15th year he walked from his people into the wilderness of Katapesh to stare
the lion in the eyes. And he did, he learned to live from the land, to be one with it to hunt and sleep in the wilderness. For eight years he lived as one with the land, and when he left the wilderness he no longer was Sefu nomad, no he was Sefu the hunter, Sefu the lion, yes he was one with the land.
