I definitely won't be starting tonight. I had pretty terrible sleep last night so I don't have a lot of time tonight. If we started Thursday evening would that be enough time for you all to finalize?

No pressure. Weekend can be fine too.

What I see so far (my two cents):

Kiragio centaur guardian: damage soaker/tank, athletics, herbalism, survival

Garirenikke, tengue rogue: rogue stuff, acrobatics, stealth

Zinari, catfolk magus: maneuverable striker (dimensional assault!), stealth and rogues stuff, bit of a face

Seeker: wizard (keep that spellbook full!), crafting, magic tradition knowledge (all of them it seems), society

BarnabyBleck: alchemist (ranged striker, plus reasonable healing), acrobatics, arcana, crafting, occultism, society, thievery, several lores that may be useful!

batpony: maybe champion with some healing contribution?

Between a champion and an alchemist it *could* be sufficient healing, but I would strongly suggest we make sure somebody is specializing in medicine.

UPDATE Ninja'd by batpony. If you do indeed multi in cleric then I wouldn't be too worried about healing. Really it's champion+alchemist+pathfinder provisions (and hopefully somebody does bring battle medicine).

Don't sweat it Gary ;) It's only the 2nd day since I finalized.

So with everybody here, are you all clear on what the characters bring and do you perceive any gaps? I did pick roughly on party composition, but no I didn't pick a perfect set of classes as several characters had multiple options. If you'd like to do any adjustments, I think it can be done without necessarily creating a cascade of changes needed across the party, so do think about how to do it without taking away anything big that you provide.

With that, recruitment is now officially closed.

Thank you all for your thoughtful submissions. It was not an easy decision (as evidenced by the time I needed!). If my bandwidth opens up a bit more in the coming future I'm not against running a second table of this.

Though I see the idea is starting to spread already, even beyond my recruitment :)

No worries. TBH I don't ever remember turning it on myself, so maybe something changed?

Apologies for butting in on this game, but I need Modra Boeske's player's attention over here:

And he seems to not have Private Messaging enabled. Thank you and sorry again.

To everyone, thanks for joining and giving me a chance to run a long game!

What happens next? In parallel:

* I prepare for the first scenario, which shouldn't take me very long.
* You all finalize your character choices and discuss gaps to fill together here.

NOTE I did partially make my selections based on party composition. Changing from what you submitted can be okay, but please discuss it with the group so that you all can take stock of what you have and what you might need. Of course I want you to play the character you want to have fun playing, but I think that will happen best if you all work with each other on the party!

So Garirenikke unfortunately doesn't have private message enabled. I'd like to give it 2-3 days to get ahold of him before moving on.

Garirenikke, you are one of my final selections, BUT you seem to have Private Messages not enabled, so I hope you see this. If so please dot-and-delete in gameplay and confirm you want to join in the discussion thread.

Hey all, thanks for your continued patience. My plan is to complete looking over things and make my selections Saturday (US/Pacific). I will private-message those selected late Saturday or early Sunday.

I think you may have a fundamental misunderstanding or are mixing up terms as rebuilds are never required.

I was recently conflating these terms as well (rebuild vs errata update). The title of this section linked from yours seems to reinforce it.

Recruitment is now closed. Thank you for all of your submissions. I appreciate your patience as I begin reviewing them.

Tomorrow is Feb 5th. I'll close recruitment probably at the end of my work day (5pm'ish US/Pacific time).

After successfully running a 2.25-year campaign all the way to level 5, I’m starting a new run of repeatable PFS scenarios with brand-new level 1 characters and need six committed players.

All details and requirements are in the main post: Click here for the full recruitment post.

Having participated in one of these, I'd like to take the inspiration and start another long-running table of repeatables. If interested (and you're not already involved in his new table), apply within:

recruitment

This recruitment is for Pathfinder Society 2e.

I will start a long running, consistent table of players for a list of scenarios that will take a party of brand new characters to level 5.

This is inspired by GM Frost's A Level 1-5 Adventure of PFS (2E) Escapades, which I was fortunate to participate in. Most of all, my hope is for a party who can establish good long-running RP between the characters, since they’re not having to make new introductions for each scenario!

IMPORTANT The original table ran for 2 years and 3 months. This should give some idea of the commitment required here.
I’m looking for:
* New (0 XP) PFS characters
* Players who can adjust their strategy based on their teammates
* Good party composition
* MOST IMPORTANT Players who can commit to the full list of scenarios and timeline to complete.

The scenario plan:

Level 1
• S99-01 The Second Confirmation
• S99-02 United in Purpose
• S03-01 Intro: Year of Shattered Sanctuaries

* i'm still considering an adjustment or two in level 1

Level 2
• S04-01 Intro: Year of Boundless Wonder
• S01-14 Lions of Katapesh
• S05-12 Mischief in the Maze
Level 3
• S05-01 Intro: Year of Unfettered Exploration
• S01-23 Star-Crossed Court
• S03-13 Guardian’s Covenant
Level 4
• S06-01 Intro: Year of Immortal Influence
• S01-06 Lost in the Spirit Road
• S06-05 Silver Bark, Golden Blades
--------------------

We will utilize the following tools for various aspects of our campaign:
* RPGChronicles website as the platform for the Sign-Up Sheets
* Google Sheets for managing Character Info and Macros
* and Google Slides for displaying NPCs and Maps during gameplay.

When I can I may create Aliases for some NPCs, particularly recurring ones. Examples of when I’ve done this in the past: 1, 2. I find it brings them to life more and makes them more prominent or memorable for the players (or so I hope!)

Applying:

If you’re interested, please answer the following questions in your posting below:
1. What is the ancestry and/or class of the character you plan to bring, and what can it mechanically contribute to the group?
2. Will you be able to post regularly, preferably at least once daily and once on weekends, and provide botting instructions when you’re away?
3. Are you amenable to using the block initiative system, in which PCs in the active block may post their actions, resolved in posting order; the GM rolls secret checks unless DCs are provided; players roll their own saving throws; and the following symbols are used in combat posts: ◆ (one action), ◆◆ (two actions), ◆◆◆ (three actions), ↺ (reaction), ◇ (free action)?
4. Most importantly, are you willing to commit to playing with the same group for the long term, barring unexpected personal events that may prevent you from continuing?

There will be up to 6 seats. NOTE I will be reserving one of the 6 seats for player Warah (You can probably figure out why on my main profile :sweats:)

Recruitment will remain open until February 5, 2026. After that date, a post will announce the closing of recruitment. I will then spending time reviewing the submissions, I will then review all applications over the following days. At that point I’ll appreciate your patience depending on the number of submissions I get. I’ll then notify the selected players via private message. Once the selection is complete, a post will be made to announce that the players have been chosen.

Given that the scenarios are Dark Archive, I'm tempted to make a character on that theme: a psychic practitioner of Ranatagi. If I don't post the character tonight, it will certainly be tomorrow.

Steal from the best.

I'm planning to implement something similar (possibly identical to?) GM Frost's A Level 1-5 Adventure of PFS (2E) Escapades (or also GM Frost’s Another Level 1–5 Pathfinder 2E PFS Scenario Marathon).

I'm a big fan of consistent tables, and the ability for a set party to grow together, and reach deeper RP and organics over time appeals to me as well. I was fortunate to participate in GM Frost's first go at this idea (with a very Moist character), so I thought I'd keep myself contributing as a GM and provide the same opportunity for a new group (TBD who).

Alright, so, in November, a question came up about taking over a 9-12 game, and you posted that you hadn't run higher than 7-10. I was planning this Dark Archives run, and jotted your name down in my notes.

Except, I didn't jot your name down in my notes. I wrote down cmlobue, for whatever reason.

A very confused cmlobue has agreed there are better people than them to have seats. The reserved seat in this game should be, and will be, for you.

Ahh! It originated from that. Yes I remember considering to run that scenario. While I was considering it, someone more experienced stepped in and took it over (probably for the better at the time).

Thank you.

I have experience in playing at higher levels, but certainly not GM'ing it.

My GM'ing experience:
PbP PF2 (hmm, I really need to pick it up here, I still owe Prynn a game soon):
#6-08: Upon Wheels and Rime 1-4
#3-18: Dacilane Academy's Delightful Disaster 1-4
#4-10: Arclord's Abode 1-4
#1-23: The Star-Crossed Court 3-6

I'm hoping to start a long-run game of repeats similar to what GMFrost has done, with a consistent table for levels 1-5. Just haven't had the time to get it started yet. Might be able to soon.

I've run 13 sessions of PF1 on PBP, but I suspect the levels of that aren't what you're l;ooking for here.

I'm planning to start GM'ing low-level SF2 F2F at the Emerald City lodge.

Non-society, face-to-face, lots of long-term GM'ing for family (immediate) and friends.
--------------------

I'm certainly good with posting every day and the year estimate sounds reasonable to me. I prefer tables that stick together longer.

I will post a build soon too, but it's already late tonight :sweats:

Aside from a new build (which I'll certainly enjoy making), I have these characters at or above level 6: Arfsnarf Ah'sneeze sorcerer 9, Elsha Ustosh alchemist 7, Voron Keyphyra wizard 6

I've not played it, but more importantly I've never run a 7-10 scenario. Is that feasible for someone who's never run above 3-6?

It's actually assumed that you can simply get this expertise at the Grand Lodge at any time, which is allegedly why it doesn't cost downtime days.

(so you can still roll for income too if you wish)

Let me know what from this you want noted on your chronicle sheet and I can update.
