Just want to give a quick heads up to everyone. This game is still going, the holidays have taken more out of me than I intended. Expect to see movement in this game again after the New Year. Thank you all for your patience! I look forward to the things to come in this game!

Sorry all, learning a new job while maintaining my old job has taken more out of me and my free time than I thought it would.

Mr. Marius:

Spoiler:
After some looking around you are eventually able to find a used escape pod for 1,200 credits, being sold by a group of Squib scavengers. Unfortunately there are no places for rent or purchase located near the conduit on the station.

Corvus/Kael:

No one that you talk to has any information on the Twilek other than that he delivers bribe money to the station manager.

Those seeking information about Switch and bay V14 (Ailith, Kael, and Corvus):

Despite the fact that storage bay V14 is in a quarantined zone, a large number of aliens are often seen going into that zone. Rumor has it that the aliens operate some kind of criminal organization out of that section of the station, and that a contingent of Gamorreans is always on guard near the deep storage bay. Switch appears to be the leader of this criminal organization and is whispered to have many contacts in the criminal underworld outside the station that placed him in his position of power. Further investigation and the sliding of credits reveals that since the quarantine was put into place, the station manager has been taking bribes to keep it that way. The bribes are delivered to the manager on a monthly basis by an unsavory-looking Twi’lek, and though the Empire doesn’t like it, the local security forces ensure that Imperials never get too close to the quarantined areas.

No one you question however is willing to tell you any details about what Switch looks like or who he/she may be. Only that Switch's information is always trustworthy and worth the price.

As long as the questioning was done away from Imperial loving areas (i.e. The Promenade) no one seems to take particular notice of your questioning and you see little sign of authority who could make life difficult for you (i.e. Imperials).

Mr. Marius:

Spoiler:
I will look into your requests tonight and try and have some information for you tomorrow hopefully.

Sorry for the delay folks! Been busy as heck in real life. Just got a new full-time job plus I still have my part-time job so my free time has been cut waaaay down. Anyway, new post answering some of the latest posts will be coming up soon! Stay tuned!

Spoiler:
You could certainly attempt all that if you wanted. Whether its feasible in a short time or if certain items, i.e. escape pod, are even available are debatable. Of course you could also wait on seeing what information your allies dig up on Switch before you start trying to tear apart the station... ;)

Sorry for the delay.

Mr. Marius:

Spoiler:
The quarantine is unspecified. It only keeps repeating that it is off limits to non-Imperial personnel and hazardous to all life forms. You are able to discover that while it is limited to Imperial personnel there are no records of Imperial personnel entering the area since the quarantine. The exhaust conduits are 8 meter by 8 meter adjacent to one another in the Storage Bay but are in the floor. Its a straight smooth drop from there into the reactor core. Anyone falling into the exhaust conduits is likely killed, taking maximum falling damage and lethal doses of radiation from the reactor core.

Ailith Secura wrote:

Does Ailith have any information on Deep Storage Bay V14? Does she know whether she can hook her datapad into a connection with the station to get any maps of the station, for example? Or is there the Star Wars equivalent of a website where I can make inquiries into the deep storage bays? Or does Ailith know she'll have to venture out into the station and walk into an office somewhere or scope out the storage bays on her own?

Ailith accepts Maya's datapad with a nod and quickly scans through the information already up, looking over the directions to the storage bay and scanning for any map or information on the layout of deep storage bays on the station. Use Computer: 1d20+7 (just in case it's needed). I'm only looking at public information on the datapad. If I run into any security while poking around the datapad for map info, I will ask Maya for permission to proceed and stop if she doesn't grant it.

You don't have an information yourself Ailith, although you may be able to find out something with discreet Gather Information checks. The datapad can be connected to any of the information terminals scattered throughout the station and that would let you pull up some information.

Ailith's fingers slide over the datapad once she's connected it to one of the nearby information terminals. After a few moments the datapad pops up a warning notifying the user that bay V14 is on a level that is off limits to non-Imperial personnel. With a few keystrokes the datapad begins pulling up more information. Bay V14 is in a section of the station that has been quarantined for over a year and a half, yet no maintenance requests have been made for repairs to that section. Additionally, the terminal reveals that deep storage bay V14 is located along one of the station’s primary exhaust systems, meaning that exhaust conduits should be running right through the storage bay. Ailith ends her session by pulling up a map of V14 but unfortunately the only entrance/exit to V14 is located down an isolated hallway. (The exhaust shafts within V14 lead straight to the station's central reactor core and that approach would expose one to lethal radiation, not to mention that the exhaust shafts were not designed for climbing up/down.)

Mr. Marius wrote:

Assuming Gareth doesn't mind me Treating his Injury... I will try to take 10 on the Treat Injury (since we are out of combat and in a reasonably safe place). 10 +9 = 19, so Gareth would gain back hit points equal to his level +4.

If I am unable to take 10, 1d20 (1) +9 = 10. I failed and used up the Medpac in the process. If this is the case, I'll see if someone wants to donate another Medpac to the cause.

You can take 10 on Treat Injury checks.

Maya smiles and breathes a sigh of relief at hearing that everyone is willing to help her. "Thank you all. I was not made aware of what the cargo was or even where on this station it is. I believe the cargo will be safe for now if you want to hold up till tomorrow though I can't guarantee it. I was told when I arrive here to get in contact with an information broker named Switch in deep storage bay V14 and that he would sell me the location of the cargo. I have a credstick with 1000 credits on it for him and a datapad with directions to deep storage bay V14 on them I can give you. While you are procurring the cargo I will be trying to get a hold of one of my contacts who will provide us with transportation to Alderaan. Please contact me via comlink once you have secured the cargo." Maya hands the datapad and credstick to Mr. Marius. "If you can talk Switch down on his price for the information feel free to keep the extra credits as my thanks for saving me."

Maya finally steps out of the refresher wearing the uniform of an Alderaanian Security Officer. Her long black hair has been tied up into a tight bun and the grease streaks scrubbed from her face giving her a serious look. "Thank you all for waiting, allow me to get right down to business. My identity has become compromised here on the station. I am a member of the Alderaanian Security and part of Senator Organa's personal security detail. I came to this station to recover some very valuable cargo, which was shipped all the way from the Deep Core, and return it to Alderaan. However, hours after arriving I was waylaid by the Empire. The fact that I work for a vocal opponent of the Emperor has apparently flagged me as a troublemaker, and the Empire wants me off the station one way or the other. So, in order for me to carry out my mission I will need your assistance with retrieving the cargo. The contents of which could save the lives of many innocent beings. I know it is a lot to ask of people I just met but I can promise you that if you help me Senator Organa himself will be happy to reward you for your efforts."

Ailith: I'd say a Perception DC 15 and a Treat Injury DC 15 check would make his deception less believable (each successful check would add 5 to your Will Defense as his lie would move from Moderate to Difficult or Incredible for you) since you were in the casino when he healed Maya. Otherwise you were too distracted to notice the healing or how badly injured she was.

Sorry, yeah we are out of combat now.

The woman nods with interest as more join her. "You can all call me Maya. I have a safe house set up, if you'll follow me I can explain everything there." She quickly begins to set a pace at the front leading everyone through a series of twisting passageways leading deeper into the station, occasionally glancing at a datapad she pulls out. Eventually you all arrive at a group of slum apartments in an abandoned part of the station. Everywhere you look you see aliens of different species living in squalor, a sign of the former Republic's "prosperity" under Palpatine.

I assume everyone else has followed behind the others so that the party is together.

Once inside Maya's safe house she exhales a sigh of relief. "Okay, we should be safe here for a time. The Imperials tend to ignore this area and any of the problems that may occur here. Please make yourselves as comfortable as possible while I change out of this bloody jumpsuit." The "apartment" you are in is little more than a 25 square meter room with an attached refresher. The only furnishing is a small bed in one corner. Maya grabs a bag from the bed and moves into the refresher to change.

Congrats and good luck on the new job possibility.

I would be fine with a group initiative(I am guessing you mean averaging our initiatives and rolling that once?) or just having you roll all our initiatives for us when you first post up the combat since initiative isn't something we control.

If you do roll a group initiative, how would you decide on abilities that allow for initiative rerolls and such? I don't have any, but I know a number of races and talents allow for that.

No one in the group right now possess the ability to reroll initiative as far as I recall. But if someone does choose a talent that allows it I would probably do what Marius suggested. (+2 for reroll or +5 if reroll allows you to keep the better roll.) What does everyone else think about initiative for combats? Group or individual?

As the final stormtrooper falls under a hail of blaster shots, the jedi rush into The Credit Chip. Inside the woman accepts Mr. Marius's assitance up. "You can call me, Maya." At his offer of getting out of there she nods in agreement. As they begin standing up a twi'lek that neither noticed before addresses them. As she speaks Maya nods. "I have a blaster with me, but you are right, we need to get out of here before more Imperials show up." Before the three of them step out into the now deserted alley the two jedi enter the building. Scanning the room they spy the twi'lek with the doctor and formally wounded woman attempting to make their way to the east side of the building. The remaining patrons stay clear of the troublemakers while keeping their eyes on their credits.

Okay, first combat almost over. I'm sorry for the delays, real life kicked in with some busy but hopefully good news(new job fingers crossed). I think I may try a group initiative for the next encounter. What do you guys think?

Sorry for the delay everyone!

Corvus ignites her lightsaber and moves to the closest stormtrooper(S1) cutting him down with one smooth motion.

HK flicks his rifle settings and with a well placed shot hits the stormtrooper(S3) in the chest dropping him to the floor lifeless.

Ansic more concerned with finding cover shoots towards the stormtrooper chasing Mr. Marius and the wounded woman only to watch his shot hit the door frame beside the trooper.

Mr. Marius with the keen eye of a professional doctor recognizes that the woman's injury's extend far below the surface and without surgery or immersion in bacta, she will never fully recover. Calling on the Force he taps deeper than he has before and the cell regeneration of the woman is enough to completely heal her without the need for bacta or surgery. (Please mark off the Force Point or take 1 damage and mark off the Destiny Point. For the future, you can wait till I tell you how much damage you would take before you spend the Force Point.)

Kael's lightsaber suddenly flashes out and within the blink of an eye, the man(I2) before him lies beheaded.

Back in the casino Ailith watches as many of the patrons ignore the Imperial and merely move out of the way, despite the doctor's warning. A few though, do suddenly bolt looking for other exits distracting the trooper(S5) further as Ailith shoots him through the throat killing him instantly.

Gareth outside takes cover and shoots the other suspicious man(I1) in the eye ending whatever plot the two were up to.

The wounded woman looks to Marius as her open wounds close and the pain flees from her eyes. "Thank you doc! It looks like there is an exit to the east side of the building, it probably leads to an alley. I just saw someone flee that way so hopefully its safe."

The one remaining stormtrooper turns his attention to the jedi with their lightsabers ignited. He shouts into his comlink, "We've got trouble! Ambush set up by the rebel, there are Jedi here!" He then raises his blaster and fires at Corvus but his shot goes wide and merely causes carbon scoring on the wall.

New Map (Let me know if you can't see it.)

Okay initiative is:

Rogen Horle (H)
Corvus Corax (C)
HK-22 (22)
Ansic Jeeg (J)
Mr. Marius (Currently off the map)
Kael Kulton (K)
Ailith Secura (A)
Gareth Darkstalker (D)
Wounded Woman (Currently off the map)
Stormtrooper (S#)

As HK-22 suddenly opens a barrage of shots at the stormtroopers chasing the woman, the few tourists/civilians that don't want to get involved flee from the area. The barrage of shots go wide though as they are mostly concentrated in the area in front of the stormtroopers.

Ansic whips out his blaster and with a quick shot, puts a hole through the chest of one of the stormtroopers (S2).

Mr. Marius grabbing hold of the wounded woman's arm in the sudden confusion of blaster bolts and makes his way into the shop before him. The woman hesitates for only a moment before realizing he is trying to help her and moves as fast as she is able with her injury. Once inside you realize this is not a shop but the gambling den known as The Credit Chip. Unfortunately, no backdoor is visible upon immediately entering the establishment.

Meanwhile Kael steps up to one of the suspicious men (I2) and sends a barrage of punches at the man who is unable to defend himself properly.

Ailith inside The Credit Chip is made suddenly aware of the commotion outside as a man and wounded woman come stumbling inside. Moving to the door and peering outside you see a scene of chaos with stormtroopers being fired upon by aliens and droids.

With everyone else attacking Gareth draws his blaster and fires at the stormtroopers, his shot going wide and causing carbon scoring on the wall behind them.
The two suspicious men draw out hidden hold-out blasters from their jackets and fire. One takes bead on the Gand who killed a stormtrooper, his shot hitting the side of the computer terminal causing sparks to fly. The other attempts to shoot the man in front of him who just attacked him, but as he pulls the trigger Kael manages to move the gun so the shot hits the floor to the side of him.

One of the troopers moves into the The Credit Chip after Mr. Marius and the woman. He scans the room and he looks right past Ailith not seeming to notice her hiding by the door. The others return fire on those left outside who have shown themselves to be enemies of the Empire. Shots fired at HK, Kael, and Ansic go wide but the shot fired at Gareth find their mark. (6 damage)

Watching everything unfold Rogen finally reveals his blaster rifle under his blanket and takes aim and shoots the chest of a stormtrooper (S4) causing him to fall lifeless to the floor.

okay Initiative is:

Corvus Corax (C) (Delayed till after the troopers, so gets to go now)
HK-22 (22)
Ansic Jeeg (J)
Mr. Marius (Currently off the map)
Kael Kulton (K)
Ailith Secura (A)
Gareth Darkstalker (D)
Wounded Woman (Currently off the map)
Suspicious men (I#)
Stormtroopers (S#)
Rogen Horle (H) (Delayed till after stormtroopers)

HK-22's sensors begin whirring with happy violence noises. He switches the setting on his rifle to Autofire and Stun and and vocabulates loudly: "Threatening Statement: EAT HOT LASER STUNNING DEATH FLESH POTS!"

He then opens fire on Stormtroopers S1 and S2.

Attack: 1d20-2
Damage 4d6

Before I move on real quick, HK, unfortunately according to the errata you can't auto-fire and set to stun unless you have an "auto-fire only" weapon that can be set to stun (which I don't see any of those in the books I have). Did you want to change your action or just auto-fire lethal?

Both of the suspicious men turn their attentions to the wounded woman and begin reaching into their jackets.

Before Marius can head to the nearby store a woman with short black hair and the greasy uniform of a mechanic comes stumbling onto the Promenade, clutching her midsection as though injured. She struggles to make her way across the floor in Marius's direction, though clearly she is having difficulty walking. “Please, help me,” she calls out to you. "There are credits in it for you, just help me!” Mere seconds later, two stormtroopers burst into the area from the south end of the Promenade. They raise their blasters, aiming them at the woman, and shout through their helmet speakers, “Step away from that woman. She is under arrest in the name of the Emperor!”

Initiative please. Map

Mr. Marius (M)

Ansic Jeeg (J)

Rogen Horle (H)

Kael Kulton (K)

Corvus Corax (C)

HK-22 (22)

Gareth Darkstalker (D)

Stormtroopers (S#)

Suspicious men (I#)

Wounded Woman (W)

Let me know if you can't see the map. Ansic (and Kael) you are already in a good position for cover, you would just have to duck down and the computer terminals would provide you cover from the two suspicious men.

Mr. Marius wrote:
When I notice the two men scanning the crowd, I discretely (Deception 1d20 (4) + 7 = 11) watch them for a reaction as they scan the Imperial stormtroopers (Perception 1d20 (10) + 9 = 19).

The two men do not seem to pay any attention to the stormtroopers as they pass by. Their gazes are more focused on their fellow citizens surrounding them.

Mr. Marius wrote:
Is there any arrival/departure times being displayed anywhere?

Not in this area, you are currently in the Promenade, the shopping and entertainment section of the station.

Mr. Marius wrote:

I'm going to begin moving to E3 moving via D5. As I come and go from D5, I want to check the doors to the north and south... Do I see any more of these men or Imperial stormtroopers past either of the doors? My character trying to discretely look for clear exits to flee down.

Deception 1d20 (4) + 7 = 11
Perception 1d20 (10) + 9 = 19

As you move one of the two men seems to watch you for a few moments before he goes back to scanning the crowd.

Just to let everyone know, the map is only a cutaway section of the area you are in. The door to the south is an exit to another part of the station, the door to the north is an entrance to one of the Promenade's many shops. There is plenty of space to move around if we go off the map. Just waiting on Gareth Darkstalker and Ailith Secura then I can move on. If I don't hear from one or both of them before the end of the day, I'll just move on and have to introduce them later.

Looks good Rogen.

Okay everyone, the game thread for Episode 1: The Traitor's Gambit and the ooc thread for Episode 1 are now up. Let the gaming begin!

Opening Crawl

For those who can't watch the crawl:

Spoiler:
STAR WARS: DAWN OF DEFIANCE

Episode I

THE TRAITOR’S GAMBIT

It is a dark time in the galaxy. The evil Galactic Empire has spread from the Deep Core to the Outer Rim, and everywhere the Empire’s tyranny can be felt. Fleeing from the oppression of the Emperor’s minions, agents of Senator Bail Organa have run to a remote space station above Brentaal. Known to be a vocal opponent of the Empire, Organa may be the last hope of freedom in the galaxy. In the hopes of stopping these dissidents before they can
reach the Senator, the Empire has alerted its forces on Sel Zonn Station, where the struggle for liberty rages on, and the first sparks of rebellion have begun to burn. . . .

Pan down to:

Seemingly motionless among a sea of starships and satellites above the twinkling world of Brentaal, Sel Zonn Station grows larger in your view every second. A central pylon forms the bulk of the station’s mass, and three landing platforms leading to docking bays extend from the central section, equidistant from one another and jutting out into space. The dorsal side of the station features a disc shaped secondary structure, on top of which blinking lights indicate
the presence of a landing platform reserved for wealthy patrons.

The Promenade is filled with the bustle of revelry and commerce. Spilling out of the gambling halls are the sounds of victory and the moans of defeat, while the music of local bands issues from the cantinas. Only a handful of citizens mill about in the main areas of the Promenade, a few gazing out the massive windows at the planet Brentaal hovering below. Businesspeople hawk their wares to the passersby, and a couple Imperial stormtroopers make their way down the main avenue of the Promenade on their usual patrol at a leisurely pace.

Perception checks please.

Perception DC 10+:

Spoiler:
You notice two men loitering on the Promenade who do not appear to be part of the larger crowd. Each seems to be scanning the crowd closely as though looking for someone, though they pay no attention to you.

Perception DC 15+:

Spoiler:
You also notice despite wearing normal traveling clothes, each man is carrying a hold-out blaster tucked into his jacket, and both men are wearing identical garments.

Perception DC 20+:

Spoiler:
You notice that both of the men seem to be whispering to themselves, obviously speaking into hidden comlinks.

Please let me know where you are at on the map.

Okay here will be the OOC Discussion for the first adventure. Each adventure I'll be making a new game thread and ooc thread. Please feel free to put suggestions/opinions on the game as we go. This is my first pbp and I welcome all the help you can give. For the first adventure I'm assuming everyone is in the Promenade for one reason or another as the adventure starts.

Okay, just a couple of backgrounds people are still working on and haven't heard back from Thomas Thiessen (Rogen Horle) yet but I think we will start on Monday everyone. Stay tuned for the PbP and OOC Discussion threads for Dawn of Defiance Episode 1: The Traitor's Gambit!

Mr. Marius wrote:

Hey, I was trying to get an idea of Brentaal IV was... For some reason it wasn't clicking even with descriptions like, "It sat at the strategic intersection of the Perlemian Trade Route and the Hydian Way."

So... I went looking for a map. Is there a better one than the searchable PDf found at: http://www.xs4all.nl/~wrvh/galaxymap/

** spoiler omitted **

Mr. Marius:

This is a great map you found. Brentaal IV (or just Brentaal) can be found at the intersection of the Perlemian Trade Route and the Hydian Way. It is in the Core worlds and is fairly close to Alderaan.

Spoiler:
I can't find G'aav'aar'oon or the Vodilux Star Cluster anywhere either so I'd say its fine to place it in the Outer Rim near the Perlemian Trade Route or along the Hydian Way so its not too far a stretch for you to have wound up on Brentaal.

Hey guys just some additional information about Sel Zonn Station that can be found out at any of the numerous information terminals located throughout the station:

In addition to providing boarding and supply services, Sel Zonn Station is host to a number of businesses that cater specifically to travelers. Almost all shops are located on the Promenade (The main commercial area of Sel Zonn Station is known as the Promenade. Filled with shops of all kinds, as well as large, open seating areas with fountains, plants, and other decorations.), though a few are off the beaten path. Some of the most popular establishments include:

Gundark’s Cantina: Gundark’s Cantina is a place where people from all walks of life can come to relax.

The Credit Chip: A local casino that attracts a wide variety of patrons. The most popular games in the galaxy, including sabacc and pazaak, see a lot of play here.

Delgas Medical Supplies: A corporate medical practice and pharmaceutical supplier, Delgas Medical Supplies provides care to those who can afford it.

Mechanical Allies: A droid repair and sales shop, Mechanical Allies sells all manner of droid parts and reconditioned droids.

Yeah its a backwards thinking rule. If you guys want to take Skill Training for a non-class skill (except Use the Force, Force Sensitivity makes Use the Force a class skill) go for it! Its more flavorful that way.

Jess Door (Ailith Secura):

Spoiler:
Background is great! Stat-wise looks like you spent 30 point buy instead of 28 for stats. Skill Training (Stealth) normally can't be selected by a Noble as Stealth isn't on their class skill list but I'll allow it. According to my calculations you should still have 867.5 credits left. Otherwise character is approved.

thrikreed (Mr. Marius):

Spoiler:
Vibrodagger should be at -6 for the attack. Otherwise once you pick your talent the character is approved.

Memento Mori (Kael Kulton):

Spoiler:
Looks good consider character approved.

James Martin (HK-22):

Spoiler:
HK-22 was always entertaining. Looking over the character it looks like you'd need to adjust some of the stats down to 23 point buy, lose a feat and you'd have 480 credits left after purchasing your firearm and accessories. Unless I'm missing something. Otherwise the character is approved.

Thomas Thiessen (Rogen Horle):

Spoiler:
A stormtrooper on leave wouldn't really work too well, since the campaign's focus is on fighting the Empire. A disgruntled, former stormtrooper though would work. Stat wise looks like Reflex should be 16 (flat-footed 13), feats are off, I'm guessing you meant to just have Weapon Focus and Point Blank Shot, unarmed damage should be 1d4+2, Frag Grenades are military restricted and aren't available at 1st level, I'll allow the one but your wealth should be 360 credits after purchasing the licenses. Otherwise the character is approved.

Hey everyone, just giving you all a head's up that I am still around. I'm a bit busy with work so it won't be till Friday that I'll be able to have the time to finish approving characters. Sorry for the delays everyone.

Corvus Corax wrote:
I presume a rewrite of my backstory is in order then...

Or an advancement in your timeline.

Spoiler:
Perhaps your master found out about the pending Order 66 and was killed because of his discovery. When you found out the truth you went into hiding which is how you survived. You could have returned to the station recently because you were feeling sentimental, a pull from the Force or any number of other reasons.

Some things to keep in mind. This campaign does take place during the Dark Times. Any jedi should be aware that most jedi are dead and the council no longer exists. Discretion is the better part of valor when it comes to using your lightsaber or Force powers. Too much obvious Force use or lightsaber swinging in public will bring the Empire down upon you. If you take one of the three Destinies then you don't define it, they are defined within the campaign itself. There will be space combat though not as proliferate as ground combat in the campaign. In fact you won't see any space combat till the 3rd adventure unless you do something REALLY unexpected.

The adventure has a way to pull a party together but I feel its pretty weak. If you guys can come up with a way to know each other it would be more helpful for me as that's one less thing I have to change.

thrikreed wrote:

Out of the books mentioned... I only have Core Rules with me and somewhere Starships of the Galaxy.

I was tentatively thinking about making a doctor-ish type character (think Dr. Simon Tam from Firefly, not Dr. Who) or maybe just a field medic/saw bones. Would this character see alot of use in the campaign?

Also, my friend suggested the tech specialist class... which he showed me here

Is this class allowed or duplicated in one of the other books?

There is a lot of combat in DoD but its your choice. Play someone you'll have fun with! We have a large group so I'm going to be making adjustments to the fights as it is. (Not to mention story elements to incorporate pc backstories.) Tech Specialist is a feat that anyone can take. The Outlaw Tech talent tree is tied to Scoundrel. Everything from that enhancement article was included in the Starships of the Galaxy book.

Everyone, don't feel rushed. I was planning on starting the game late this week/early next week but if people need more time to work on characters work away! I have no problems delaying things. I want this to be a fun game with characters we all will enjoy playing since this is a 1 to 20 campaign that can take years to finish.

Ah! I had miscounted on my credits originally and realized when I was trying to fact check my character that I should have had some more money, so the grenades were last minute after I had done all my other gear and my brain wasn't thinking about availability anymore. No problem!

I'll get the character sheet cleaned up so its more readable format wise today, and I'm going to flesh out the background a little more, I just wanted to put up something somewhat generic so you could see where I was coming from.

I think my character is going to be primarily soldier with a bit of scoundrel in him headed towards gunslinger.

Spoiler:
The only thing off are the grenades. You still need the license fees for the grenades and frag grenades are not available at character creation. That all said, I'll approve it as is.

Approved.

This is abstract xp - my draft character is available for your review...

Spoiler:
Second Wind would recover 12 hit points for you and you only have 1 second wind in SAGA. Other than that you just have your 1,200 credits you can spend if you want. Other than that its mechanically fine. A little background would be nice.

Gareth Darkstalker wrote:

Looks like you have 5 more points to spend on Ability scores. I count only 23 (droids get 23 but non-droids get 28). Looks like you meant to put Strength at 13 since you took Rapid Shot, but that will still leave you 3 more points to spend. Gear is adding up to 3250 with the license fees, soldiers only start with 3000. I'll allow it though. Just need to add those extra Ability score points and its approved.

Edit:

Spoiler:
Will Defense should be 11 and you have 1 more trained skill from human to pick.

Spoiler:

The Dawn of Defiance campaign opens on an unsuspecting space station orbiting the Core World of Brentaal. Sel Zonn Station is little more than a travel and cargo port, just like dozens of others in orbit around the world. However, the station is also home not only to the Empire and its lackeys among the nobility of Brentaal, but also to the beginnings of the first major resistance group—that of your heroes.
