Ground Floor.....Second Floor ..... Third floor.....Fourth Floor

I am going to end this game so that I can focus on my others one.

Good luck to all of you.

Ground Floor.....Second Floor ..... Third floor.....Fourth Floor

Godric swings at the creature but misses as does Raikdar with his bow.

Kol-Relden waits to get a clean shot at the creature but Godric is blocking the shot.

Lai waits in the shadows.

The skeleton attacks Godric with fire and claw.

Fiery Aura: 1d6 ⇒ 2

claws: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

Godric avoids the attacks but the creature continues to press him.

Ground Floor.....Second Floor ..... Third floor.....Fourth Floor

As the skeletons raise off the alters and stand, Lai quickly dispatches one. The fires seems to die out and then it explodes sending bone fragments flying in all directs.

Godric runs up to the other one in an attempt to quickly dispatch it.

Godric feels the fire coming from the core of the creature as he begins his attack.

Fiery Aura: 1d6 ⇒ 4

The party is up.

Ground Floor.....Second Floor ..... Third floor.....Fourth Floor

Waiting on Kol-Relden and Godric

Ground Floor.....Second Floor ..... Third floor.....Fourth Floor

Two stone altars, one black and one white, sit at either end of this large chamber, which takes up two wings of the tower on this level. The crumbling remains of wooden benches sag in front of each altar beneath rotting ceiling tapestries. Carved symbols and writings snake along the walls. The burnt corpses of two troglodytes lie on the floor in the center of the room.
Two humanoid skeletons, wreathed in eternal flame, inhabit this room. One lies on each altar and they begin to rise at the party enters the room.

Knowledge Religion DC 11:

Fiery Aura (Ex): Creatures adjacent to a burning skeleton take 1d6 points of fire damage at the start of their turn. Anyone striking a burning skeleton with an unarmed strike or natural attack takes 1d6 points of fire damage.
Fiery Death (Su): A burning skeleton explodes into a burst of flame when it dies. Anyone adjacent to the skeleton when it is destroyed takes 1d6 points of fire damage per 2 Hit Dice the skeleton possessed (minimum 1d6). A Reflex save (DC = 10 + 1/2 the skeleton's Hit Dice + the skeleton's Cha bonus) halves this damage.

The party is up.

Ground Floor.....Second Floor ..... Third floor.....Fourth Floor

You reach a landing with a door. The stairs continue up.

Ground Floor.....Second Floor ..... Third floor.....Fourth Floor

The room is empty except for a trap that is aimed at the door leading outside.

You open the door to the stairwell and in the dim light you can see that there is a landing for the staircase that leads both up and down.

You will need a light source when you head up the stairs.

Ground Floor.....Second Floor ..... Third floor.....Fourth Floor

Which door? One leads to the stairwell and one to the room next door.

Ground Floor.....Second Floor ..... Third floor.....Fourth Floor

You hear nothing at the two doors leading from the room.

Ground Floor.....Second Floor ..... Third floor.....Fourth Floor

The rain is falling a little harder now.

Ground Floor.....Second Floor ..... Third floor.....Fourth Floor

A light rain begins to fall outside.

Ground Floor.....Second Floor ..... Third floor.....Fourth Floor

Sort yourselves out and let me know what you want to do next. Remember that you are down to 4 characters now that I have dismissed Mornar.

Ground Floor.....Second Floor ..... Third floor.....Fourth Floor

The battle is over and the victors remain to write the history.

A search of the room reveals that it had at one time been an armory. Most of the weapons and armor have fallen to the ravages of time but a few are still in good shape.

A silver dagger and a light steel shield are both of masterwork quality. The troglodyes only wealth was 10 silver pieces.

Ground Floor.....Second Floor ..... Third floor.....Fourth Floor

You can spend this round casting the healing spell and keep the roll you got.

House rule for healing. d8s become (4 + d4).

Kol-Relden stops to heal himself and check on Nippy.

Meanwhile Mornar runs off into the distance never to be heard from again.

Godric swings at the lizard but it is able to sidestep the blow. It then swings around and delivers another shock.

Shock: 1d8 ⇒ 1

Godric Reflex Save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12

Godric has 6 points of shock damage total at this point.

Ground Floor.....Second Floor ..... Third floor.....Fourth Floor

Looking back over the combat I missed some damage. The trog should have been dead with Lia's crossbow damage. So we will rewind back to that point. Kol-Relden and Nippy are standing over the dead trog and can now act.

Ground Floor.....Second Floor ..... Third floor.....Fourth Floor

The troglodyte desperate to escape takes a swing at Kol-Relden then backs towards the door.

Club: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

I think that puts you at zero hit points.

Kol-Relden, Godric, and Mornar are up at this time.

Ground Floor.....Second Floor ..... Third floor.....Fourth Floor

Lai is up.

Ground Floor.....Second Floor ..... Third floor.....Fourth Floor

Mornar turns to flee the lizard. It shocks at Godric.

Godric cuts the lizard but does not drop it.

Shock: 1d8 ⇒ 5

Godrick Reflex Save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18

Godrick save from last round Reflex Save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22

Godric has taken 5 points of shock damage at this point. Lai and Raikdar are up.

Ground Floor.....Second Floor ..... Third floor.....Fourth Floor

The troglodyte is able to twist to avoid both Kol-Relden and Nippy.

Ground Floor.....Second Floor ..... Third floor.....Fourth Floor

Club: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16

Kol-Relden blocks a mighty swing by the trog as it trys to move around him.

Ground Floor.....Second Floor ..... Third floor.....Fourth Floor

Will Save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

Pesky spirits zip past and through the lizard causing it to pause and refect on its choices in this battle.

Ground Floor.....Second Floor ..... Third floor.....Fourth Floor

Lai's shot goes wide of the mark

Okay we are now at the top of the initiative order. Lai and Raikdar are now up after the lizard. Then the troglodyte followed by Kol-Relden/Nippy.

Touch: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
Shock: 1d8 ⇒ 6

Mornar and Godric try to cower from the lizard attacking them. After shocking Mornar it decides to attack Godric and let him know it means business.

Ground Floor.....Second Floor ..... Third floor.....Fourth Floor

Kol-Relden slices open the belly of the beast and it collapse as its entrails spill out.

Moving on it about 24 hours.

Ground Floor.....Second Floor ..... Third floor.....Fourth Floor

Lai's odd spirits snatch the bolt from his crossbow and cause him to misfire.

The troglodytes scream as they swing clubs at their attackers.

Club on Kol-Relden: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Kol-Relden's attack shifts after missing

Club on Nippy: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Nippy's attacker backs off after missing.

Kol-Relden/Nippy, Mornar, and Godric are up at this point.

Ground Floor.....Second Floor ..... Third floor.....Fourth Floor

moving on in 8 hours

Ground Floor.....Second Floor ..... Third floor.....Fourth Floor

The arrow strikes true.

Ground Floor.....Second Floor ..... Third floor.....Fourth Floor

Moving on. Can't wait on people.

Godric and Mornar continue to enjoy the view from the ledge but hear commotion inside.

The lizard see the open door and makes and makes an attempt to escape. It runs into Mornar and attempt to shock him.

Touch: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
Shock: 1d8 ⇒ 6

Raikdar and Lai are up.

Ground Floor.....Second Floor ..... Third floor.....Fourth Floor

I thought they had Stench too but I cannot find any reference to it.

Ground Floor.....Second Floor ..... Third floor.....Fourth Floor

Raikdar's arrow puncture the slimy flesh of one of the creature and it lets out a scream of pain.

Javelin: 1d20 ⇒ 7
Javelin: 1d20 ⇒ 17

They both launch javelins at the stunned Kol-Relden. Another pierces his armor

Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 3

The creature to the north is the one that is damage. The rest of the party is up. Then Raikdar and Lai can act.

Knowledge Nature DC11:
Troglodytes

Ground Floor.....Second Floor ..... Third floor.....Fourth Floor

1d100 ⇒ 79
1d20 ⇒ 18

Light from behind him shows racks for weapons and armor lining the walls. Above the racks hang various shields, pieces of armor, weapons, and standards. A horrible stench fills the room as well, akin to the smell of rotten eggs mixed with the reek of an open sewer.
He spots two creatures throwing javelins at him.

Javelin: 1d20 ⇒ 17
Javelin: 1d20 ⇒ 3

damage: 1d6 ⇒ 4

Pain grips Kol-Relden as one of the javelins finds a hole in his armor. He watches as the creatures each reach for another javelin.

Monsters init: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (9) - 1 = 8

Kol-Relden/Nippy init: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Raikder init: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Lia init: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Godric init: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Mornar init: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

Lizard init: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25
1d100 ⇒ 91

The shock lizard rises from his nest and hisses at the commotion. It looks ready to pounce.

Raikder and Lia are up.

Ground Floor.....Second Floor ..... Third floor.....Fourth Floor

As Godric and Lai watch from the safety of the ledge, Raikdar, Kol-Relden, and brave Nippy move towards the door to the east.

Updated the map

Ground Floor.....Second Floor ..... Third floor.....Fourth Floor

With the lizard temporarily distracted what is your next move. Kol-Relden and Raikdar seem to be the only players involved so far. From what I can tell everyone else is hang out on the ledge enjoying the view.

Ground Floor.....Second Floor ..... Third floor.....Fourth Floor

The creature snaps up the food and takes it back to its nest by the back wall.

Ground Floor.....Second Floor ..... Third floor.....Fourth Floor

Sorry for the delay. I was waiting on Mornar and got busy

Init for creature: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8

Kol-Relden is up at this time as he stares at the creature.

Ground Floor.....Second Floor ..... Third floor.....Fourth Floor

Kol-Relden:
You know that this is a Shocker Lizard. Look it up in the Bestiary pg 248. It is looking at you like it is waiting for you to do something. It might have a problem with Nippy.

Ground Floor.....Second Floor ..... Third floor.....Fourth Floor

1d100 ⇒ 29

The door opens easily. Judging from the shelves lining the walls, this darkened room might once have been a storeroom, though its contents have long since succumbed to the passage of time. A crack in the northern wall has apparently let in come rainwater, which has collected in a large puddle on the floor.

As you enter the room you seem movement from across the room. A large lizard moves to the center of the room and stares at you.

Everyone roll Knowledge Nature, Perception, and Initiative before we proceed.

Ground Floor.....Second Floor ..... Third floor.....Fourth Floor

Correct but let's just say that after a few minutes you all make it up to the second floor and move on.

There are two doors to choose from.

Ground Floor.....Second Floor ..... Third floor.....Fourth Floor

Climbing up the rubble pile to the second floor is a DC 15 climb check.

Ground Floor.....Second Floor ..... Third floor.....Fourth Floor

The door is impassable.

Ground Floor.....Second Floor ..... Third floor.....Fourth Floor

Searching the rest of the ground floor you find that there is indeed a central staircase but at this level it is filled with rubble that only allows the door to open a couple of inches.

see map

Ground Floor.....Second Floor ..... Third floor.....Fourth Floor

Kol-Relden's thrust pierces the beast just as Raikdar's arrow crosses through it from the side.

It falls to the ground dead.

Ground Floor.....Second Floor ..... Third floor.....Fourth Floor

The spider swings down and attempts to bite Kol-Relden

Bite: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9

Ground Floor.....Second Floor ..... Third floor.....Fourth Floor

The ceiling is 15 feet high but the spider is hanging off of the webs that it has build so that drops it down a couple of feet. The body is about 3 feet round so that means the spider is only about 10-11 feet in the air. Sharp pointy objects should be able to reach it.

Ground Floor.....Second Floor ..... Third floor.....Fourth Floor

If I was more computer literate we might be able to have grid numbers but alas I can't figure out how to do it. Please just tell me where you want to move (west side of the spider) or give directions (move two north and one diagonal northwest)

I have let players have control of the map before and it just gets out of control. I am looking into using Roll 20 in the future.

Ground Floor.....Second Floor ..... Third floor.....Fourth Floor

I gave everyone view only on the map. You tell me where you are going and I will move your icon.

Ground Floor.....Second Floor ..... Third floor.....Fourth Floor

Godric, Lia, and Mornar are up.

Ground Floor.....Second Floor ..... Third floor.....Fourth Floor

These are also known as BFM spiders that shot webs and are poisonous. Bestiary page 258

Ground Floor.....Second Floor ..... Third floor.....Fourth Floor

It is a giant scaleback spider.

Ground Floor.....Second Floor ..... Third floor.....Fourth Floor

Yes

Ground Floor.....Second Floor ..... Third floor.....Fourth Floor

The group stumble over the rubble strewn terrain to get a better angle on the spider. Lai moves into the room and is able to get a shot off that pierces the body of the beast.

It shots another web at Lai before retreating toward the arched doorway to the west.

Web: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

Party is up.

Godric I could not get you into the room since every spot you could have gotten to was already taken by someone with a higher initiative.
