Hi all!!!

I'm planning on making an investigator but have hit a few roadblocks on the way, mind helping me out? :)

#1 I know I can't get this as an investigator but I'm still curious, do you guys have any advice on ways to hide an alchemist's vestigial arm magically? Is there a bracelet or something that can hide the extra arm? Bulky clothing just doesn't sound good for the character I'm thinking of.

#2 I really just don't understand why people say that enhance potion is good. I get that in theory using your caster level for a potion is great but with all existing potions right now, as seen in the d20pfsrd potions page, I just can't see how this is worth an invaluable investigator talent. I guess you could save money by buying a potion of magic fang +1 and using enhance potion to bring it higher but aside from that, not worth it for me but everyone seems to recommend it, am I looking at this wrong?

#3 Lastly, one the other hand, why is piranha strike lacking so much love? I'm thinking of making a dex build with weapon finesse and I keep on seeing people recommend a 13 str just for power attack. I'm considering dumping str and just going with weapon finesse and an agile weapon. Piranha strike seems great for me. Am I missing something?

Hi all!!!

I'm currently building an investigator and I had a few questions, could you guys please help me out? :)

#1 I'm thinking of going half-elf for my investigator. The favored class bonus gives me a flat bonus to my inspiration rolls. According to the inspired weapon special ability:

"If the wielder already has the combat inspiration talent, the wielder must still expend one use of inspiration, but in addition to adding the result of the inspiration roll to the attack roll, the investigator adds twice the result of the inspiration roll to the weapon’s damage roll."

Now of course like all sane investigators, I'm getting combat inspiration. But hoe does this interact with my favored class bonus. Do I get to double the roll for inspiration first and then add my favored class bonus or do i just double it after adding the bonus, I'm thinking that it probably means the former but its probably better to double check.

#2 If two enemies are side by side constantly, can I keep on chaining domino effect between the two each round?

#3 When an investigator makes a full attack does he have to roll an inspiration once for everything or does he have to spend inspiration for every attack. This seems like an obvious question but I can't seem to find where it says either is correct. If you guys find something could you send me a link or something? :)

Hi all :)

These two seem like a ridiculously cheesy combo against anything that breathes, is not cold immune or of the fire descriptor/have any innate fire abilities.

First step: quicken Dimensional Anchor

Keep them from teleporting out of range

Second step: cast Polar Midnight with rime metamagic rod

They should be entangled so they won't be able to move.

Third step: ???

Fourth step: Profit!!!

Here's Polar Midnight for you:

http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/p/polar-midnight/

Here's a few questions:

I'd just like a clarification: does having a dex of 0 mean you cannot take ANY actions? Or does it simply mean you cannot take any physical actions?(i.e. Innate Telepathy and stuff)

Does having to keep your breath mean that you cannot cast spells with a verbal component? Would breath weapons still work? Like I have frozen a red dragon, can he still use his flame breath to try and melt the ice? If so can he use it twice if the first attempt failed? ( I know this sounds stupid or common sense at first but thinking about it more, it's never been said that dragons need to breathe, undead dragons use breath weapons just fine)

And do creatures get an ability check to break out of entangled? I can't seem to find anything with regards to it. And if there is an ability check what kind of action would it take?

Do you guys have any ideas on how to improve this? Maybe finding a way to stagger them? XD thanks for all the replies

Hi all, :)

I've just started playing D&D/Pathfinder with a bunch of friends.
I'm currently playing a Fighter and I've got a few questions about them.

Does the Focused Weapon Advanced Weapon Training scale with size?
If I have a Focused Weapon and I drink my Potion of Enlarge Person does my Focused Weapon Damage also increase due to size?

Does the Armor Focus feat allow me to get Advanced Armor Training?
I'm thinking of getting an archetype but it replaces my Armor Training :(

Is the Warrior Spirit Advanced Weapon Training a free action? Can't seem to find what action it is to activate; and can I apply special weapon abilities even if the enhancement bonus is already +5? If I have a +5 Greatsword, I want to give it Ghost Touch since I'm up against ghosts. Can I put in Ghost Touch even though it already has +5 Enhancement Bonus?

I want to get the manual of gainful exercise but if I use it is the cost of the book forever tied to my character wealth by level(my GM's kinda the by the books type so what we do is that the character wealth by level is the max we can have at any one time). For example: I'm a lvl9 Fighter and I want the manual(+1) which costs 27,500 when my max wealth is at 46,000. I don't wanna get it if the price'll stick with me for the rest of the campaign. So I'm wondering if it is added to my max wealth forever or only when it is in my possession and not yet used.

I was looking at the Wrecking Wrath trait and it seems like it could be very abusable. Lets say through ability score increases and enhancement bonuses I have a +10 strength modifier. It would then allow me to add +10 to my damage rolls!!! Am I reading this right? And what about the two-handed fighter archetype. It doubles whatever strength modifier I have as long as I make the strike with either a standard or full attack. And while we're at it, the Devastating Blow capstone at the end of Two-Handed Fighter would multiply this by the crit modifier. That's a lot of damage.

Lastly I wanted to know if I'm considered wielding a buckler even if I'm using a two-handed weapon, I know that I'll lose the AC bonus but am I still considered wielding it? I'm asking because I want to use armor sacrifice with it.

Thanks in advance for all the help!!! XD
