About Frohnd von Hasel

Background Bullets:

* Mother, Elfriede von Hasel, was a well known sculptor of stone in a small village. Had a brief romance with a forlorn elf and Frohnd was born.

* Frohnd inherited his mother's creativity

* Frohnd received a 1-year arts scholarship to the University at Lepistadt where he bulked up on his knowledge of the mysteries of Golarion (arcane secrets, the occult, etc).

* After his scholarship expired, with no way to pay for further education, Frohnd dropped out and was mulling his future in a Lepidstadt tavern when he happened to meet Professor Lorrimor. The professor encouraged him to pursue his passions, the foremost of which at the time was a dream to be a fiction writer. Over the course of the next year, these tavern meetings continued as the professor continued to encourage young Frohnd to pursue his dreams.

* Finally, impoverished and starving, Frohnd finished his first novel, "Konrad Moers & the Mummy's Curse" a work of fiction about a detective who traveled Ustalav and solved mysteries. As his first work, it was rather predictable but it was well researched.

* Frohnd went on to write two additional novels, "Konrad Moers & the Sphinx's Riddle" and "Konrad Moers & the Ghoul's Grave". The "Grave" was something of a flop and local critics cited a big drop in creativity as the villain was unimaginative and uninteresting.

* Frohnd has been desperately searching for inspiration, sorely missing the tavern muse he used to find in the professor since he left Lepistadt.

Personality:

An energetic, charming and affable young man, Frohnd made an easy time of his youth. In his teens and early twenties, he has had a number of brief romances, where he made promises that he was unlikely to ever keep.

He is a truly creative and inspired writer, yet lacks the insight or wisdom to truly create a cohesive and consistent novel. Often, characters in his works will forget a key detail and Frohnd quickly sweeps the reader away to some new brilliant scene where such matters are swiftly forgotten.

Frohnd likely enjoys "being a writer" more than the actual writing itself, discussing his ideas aloud at a local cafe or tavern while sipping a latte or a cider he can barely afford.

Now several months into a bout of extensive "writer's block", he is hungry for any chance for inspiration - now, if only something interesting were to happen...

Roleplay Fluff & Crunch:

I see Frohnd's history and future as a fiction writer as the "fluff" that drives his "crunch".

Specifically, he has researched lore extensively for his novels - and when coming upon a situation, he draws upon the fictional experiences of Konrad Moers and applies it to the present.

The Archivist replacement ability for inspire courage, which takes a knowledge check and results in the Bard relaying insight into his companions, I see it going something like this...

The goblin-faced dog paced in a circle about Frohnd and his companions while the young writer gripped the hilt of his longsword tightly and debated the origin of the creature.

Dog-like. Goblin face. Hands instead of paws...

Frohnd's mind raced, while he tried to recall a similar creature in his research for the never-finished Konrad Moers & the Goblin King.

Of course! A barghest! We will need magic weapons to strike it true!

The young writer turned to the others, who had yet to land an arrow true against the creature's resilient hide.

"Use something magic! Quick!"
