Hello,
I am a level 1 sorcerer trying to pick my arcane bond item. Which items can I pick at this level, and when I cast a spell using a bound item, do I have to prepare it, even though I'm a sorcerer? Or do I use it as if I am a level 1 wizard?
Also, do I have to pick a school of magic for my spell, or do I only have to do that if I'm a wizard. But I wield the item as a wizard, so maybe I do have to choose a school of magic. And if so, must I pick a spell that's not opposed to my school?
I'm in over my head, and have so many spells to choose from, but only 6 hit points.
Could you give me any tips on choosing spells? Are they arranged by level, or categorized, or are they simply listed alphabetically?

I am in the same boat as the OP, I need to know what I can use for a bound item. I think the core rule book says it needs to be masterwork item, but not a lot of those lying around for lvl 1 characters.
