HP 17/17, AC 16, Fort +2, Ref +0, Will +6 Channel pos 5/5, Rebuke Spirits 8/8, Command Undead 7/7 Oracle spells: 1st 5/5

Hi folks, I'm afraid I'm going to be leaving the game.

At some point a threshold of discomfort was crossed. I'm not sure when it was, but I'm not enjoying the game anymore. I've given it some thought and I figure that rather than asking the rest of you to conform to what I want the better thing would be to let you keep enjoying the game without me.

Just to be clear, I don't think any of you are bad people, or bad players, and I don't mind evil games most of the time. I've enjoyed the characterizations quite a bit and I think everyone has been very respectful of each other. There's just something about this storyline and the characters' approach to problem solving that goes past what I find fun.

Hope you all continue to enjoy the game without me.

GM, can you please remove me from the Active Players roster in the campaign info section?

Friday chuckled and sighed. As amusing as the banter was, she could already tell that she was going to have to be the voice of reason in their little trio. That wasn't a position she was used to.

I'm ready to move on to the next scene.

HP 17/17, AC 16, Fort +2, Ref +0, Will +6 Channel pos 5/5, Rebuke Spirits 8/8, Command Undead 7/7 Oracle spells: 1st 5/5

Level up done. I did a little shopping during the process. Picked up better armor and Sleeves of Many Garments.

Is that acceptable?

HP 17/17, AC 16, Fort +2, Ref +0, Will +6 Channel pos 5/5, Rebuke Spirits 8/8, Command Undead 7/7 Oracle spells: 1st 5/5

"Chaos... is better organized..?" Friday chuckled. "Alyssa, you're wonderful."

I'm leveling Friday up right now. I'll be ready for the next encounter soon.

HP 17/17, AC 16, Fort +2, Ref +0, Will +6 Channel pos 5/5, Rebuke Spirits 8/8, Command Undead 7/7 Oracle spells: 1st 5/5

Oh yeah! Thanks. :)

HP 17/17, AC 16, Fort +2, Ref +0, Will +6 Channel pos 5/5, Rebuke Spirits 8/8, Command Undead 7/7 Oracle spells: 1st 5/5

Oh that is just dreadful. Welcome to the game. :)

HP 17/17, AC 16, Fort +2, Ref +0, Will +6 Channel pos 5/5, Rebuke Spirits 8/8, Command Undead 7/7 Oracle spells: 1st 5/5

That sounds fine to me.

HP 17/17, AC 16, Fort +2, Ref +0, Will +6 Channel pos 5/5, Rebuke Spirits 8/8, Command Undead 7/7 Oracle spells: 1st 5/5

"What law has the innkeep broken? We need a pretense of some kind." Friday asked.

HP 17/17, AC 16, Fort +2, Ref +0, Will +6 Channel pos 5/5, Rebuke Spirits 8/8, Command Undead 7/7 Oracle spells: 1st 5/5

"Speaking of the Angel Knight, we have a gift for you, my lord," Friday said. From the large purse she had slung over her shoulder she retrieved a velvet-wrapped gift a bit larger than a person's head.

Giving the Archbaron the Helm.

HP 17/17, AC 16, Fort +2, Ref +0, Will +6 Channel pos 5/5, Rebuke Spirits 8/8, Command Undead 7/7 Oracle spells: 1st 5/5

Were we going to gift the helm to the archbaron? Now seems like a good time to do that.

HP 17/17, AC 16, Fort +2, Ref +0, Will +6 Channel pos 5/5, Rebuke Spirits 8/8, Command Undead 7/7 Oracle spells: 1st 5/5

I'm still here. Getting a third for the coven would be a good idea.

HP 17/17, AC 16, Fort +2, Ref +0, Will +6 Channel pos 5/5, Rebuke Spirits 8/8, Command Undead 7/7 Oracle spells: 1st 5/5

Friday happily stepped forward to recite her oath while touching the stone.

"'I swear my absolute allegiance to Archbaron Darellus Fex, Her Infernal Majestrix Quen Abrogail II of the Thrice-Damned House Thrune, and the Empire of Cheliax'."

She had to force herself not to withdraw her hand as the flames blistered her palm.

1d6 ⇒ 4 2 points of fire damage for me.

HP 17/17, AC 16, Fort +2, Ref +0, Will +6 Channel pos 5/5, Rebuke Spirits 8/8, Command Undead 7/7 Oracle spells: 1st 5/5

"It would be our pleasure, m'lord." Friday said with an appreciative curtsy.

Friday goes to town and buys a very nice set of clothes. Spending 100 gp on a Noble's Outfit

HP 17/17, AC 16, Fort +2, Ref +0, Will +6 Channel pos 5/5, Rebuke Spirits 8/8, Command Undead 7/7 Oracle spells: 1st 5/5

"Out here? In the street? With witnesses?" Friday warned quietly. "If they all turn up dead, it's not going to be hard for anyone to figure out who did it."

"We're the law now, right? They attacked us. We can execute them. Publicly. Maybe a nice hanging? There needs to be some kind of trial first though. Hence the whole locking them up thing."

Lawful Evil campaign...

HP 17/17, AC 16, Fort +2, Ref +0, Will +6 Channel pos 5/5, Rebuke Spirits 8/8, Command Undead 7/7 Oracle spells: 1st 5/5

"Should we lock them up?" Friday asked.

The Sleep spell is normally a full round action, BTW.

HP 17/17, AC 16, Fort +2, Ref +0, Will +6 Channel pos 5/5, Rebuke Spirits 8/8, Command Undead 7/7 Oracle spells: 1st 5/5

Friday gestured and animated the sparse grasses and weeds.

Casting Entangle

HP 17/17, AC 16, Fort +2, Ref +0, Will +6 Channel pos 5/5, Rebuke Spirits 8/8, Command Undead 7/7 Oracle spells: 1st 5/5

"If we're going to do this, we need to do it right. Locking people up for no reason is a quick path to torches and pitchforks. We have to make it at least seem legitimate. We'll have to catch the innkeeper doing something wrong. Or frame him, I suppose, but real crimes are better than fake ones."

"Anyway, let's not count our chickens." Friday went about the office looking through things and collecting up the important items like Lavinia suggested.

HP 17/17, AC 16, Fort +2, Ref +0, Will +6 Channel pos 5/5, Rebuke Spirits 8/8, Command Undead 7/7 Oracle spells: 1st 5/5

Friday wiped a splash of chilli off of Lavinia's face and put her finger in her mouth.

"Mmm. That's not bad. Needs a little more spice though."

"I saw a horse trough over here. Lets go get you cleaned up."

I wish witches had Prestidigitation.

HP 17/17, AC 16, Fort +2, Ref +0, Will +6 Channel pos 5/5, Rebuke Spirits 8/8, Command Undead 7/7 Oracle spells: 1st 5/5

"Putting up a decree. We didn't want to put it on your decorations, so the door seemed best. Sorry about the noise," Friday said earnestly.

Knowledge Local (untrained): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

Friday had never been to this tavern, so she knew nothing about it.

"Should we ask the owner if there's a particular place to put notices, or just hang it on an antler?"

HP 17/17, AC 16, Fort +2, Ref +0, Will +6 Channel pos 5/5, Rebuke Spirits 8/8, Command Undead 7/7 Oracle spells: 1st 5/5

"We're just the ones putting up the notices, Doctor, not the ones giving it. Do we look like officials to you? We know as much about the curfew as you do. You should bring your concerns to the local Magistrate or a representative of the Archbaron."

^ this order sounds fine to me.

Friday put her hat on her head, picked up her new cane and followed her Sisters out the door.

HP 17/17, AC 16, Fort +2, Ref +0, Will +6 Channel pos 5/5, Rebuke Spirits 8/8, Command Undead 7/7 Oracle spells: 1st 5/5

I thought this place was temporary lodging? Did I have that wrong?

Friday's Purchases-
Spring loaded wrist sheaths x2: 150 gp
Healer's Kit: 50 gp

Friday's purchases were far more utilitarian in nature. She knew she wasn't going to be able to stay at the Ash House forever, so she looked into a place to stay that was large enough that she and her new coven-sisters.

Putting 10 GP into renting an "average" quality living space for 1 month, as per the SRD costs. It says the space is considered to have sparce, basic furnishings, and the cost of basic meals is included in the overall expenditure.

When she returned to the Ash House, she said "I found us a place to live for now. It isn't much, but I have the only key and it has a big kitchen and an ice chest full of food."

HP 17/17, AC 16, Fort +2, Ref +0, Will +6 Channel pos 5/5, Rebuke Spirits 8/8, Command Undead 7/7 Oracle spells: 1st 5/5

Just noticed that the first time we got paid, no amount was specified. How much was that?

"Oh, I am frivolous," Friday laughed as she "helped" Alyssa away. "I'm also a lot of other things too."

----------

Later, Friday was wowed by the money. It was more than she'd ever had at one point in her life. She didn't really know what to do with it all, but she liked having it.

HP 17/17, AC 16, Fort +2, Ref +0, Will +6 Channel pos 5/5, Rebuke Spirits 8/8, Command Undead 7/7 Oracle spells: 1st 5/5

Sure, sounds good to me as long as we aren't being followed. Can we check for that?

HP 17/17, AC 16, Fort +2, Ref +0, Will +6 Channel pos 5/5, Rebuke Spirits 8/8, Command Undead 7/7 Oracle spells: 1st 5/5

Friday moved to Alice's side. "Careful, madame. Here let me help you up."

As she helped Alice, she snagged the helm and deftly tucked it beneath Alice's cloak, using the other woman's crooked posture and the closeness of their bodies as Friday "helped" her to hide the bulk of the helm beneath the cloak.

Slight of Hand, plus aid another: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 4 + 2 = 24

Who knew learning to swipe things from patrons while waiting tables would come in so handy...

HP 17/17, AC 16, Fort +2, Ref +0, Will +6 Channel pos 5/5, Rebuke Spirits 8/8, Command Undead 7/7 Oracle spells: 1st 5/5

Everything seemed to move in slow motion. Friday nearly paniced, but she took advantage of the chaos of the crowd by whipping off her sash and stuffing it into one of the pockets of her dress. Then she pointed to a nearby woman standing near Alice.

Bluff: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25

"She did it! I saw her!"

HP 17/17, AC 16, Fort +2, Ref +0, Will +6 Channel pos 5/5, Rebuke Spirits 8/8, Command Undead 7/7 Oracle spells: 1st 5/5

Aaaand the s$$# just hit the fan. I hope no one in the crowd has Spellcraft.

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21

"Actual demons are pouring forth from the Worldwound right now, and the Iomedean Crusade thinks they need to focus their attentions here? Idiots." Friday said loudly enough to be heard by people nearby.

HP 17/17, AC 16, Fort +2, Ref +0, Will +6 Channel pos 5/5, Rebuke Spirits 8/8, Command Undead 7/7 Oracle spells: 1st 5/5

Friday is going to keep rumor-hunting until the speech starts, and then she'll put her sash on and rejoin the coven.

HP 17/17, AC 16, Fort +2, Ref +0, Will +6 Channel pos 5/5, Rebuke Spirits 8/8, Command Undead 7/7 Oracle spells: 1st 5/5

I'll take 10 again if that's still ok.

Friday continued her slow circuit of the room.

HP 17/17, AC 16, Fort +2, Ref +0, Will +6 Channel pos 5/5, Rebuke Spirits 8/8, Command Undead 7/7 Oracle spells: 1st 5/5

Friday kept her sash in her pocket for now. No need to give the game away just yet. She happily mingled with the crowd, a picture of smiles and grace.

I'll take 10 on Diplomacy for 18 (assuming that's allowed here. Just let me know if you want the roll).

HP 17/17, AC 16, Fort +2, Ref +0, Will +6 Channel pos 5/5, Rebuke Spirits 8/8, Command Undead 7/7 Oracle spells: 1st 5/5

"If we are trying to make dem look bad, it does not matta who starts it. We should respond wit' as little force as possible. Make dem look violent and unreasonable." Friday mused.

HP 17/17, AC 16, Fort +2, Ref +0, Will +6 Channel pos 5/5, Rebuke Spirits 8/8, Command Undead 7/7 Oracle spells: 1st 5/5

Friday shrugged. 'None, 'ere."

Snubbing the nose of the righteous Iomedeans sounded fantastic.

HP 17/17, AC 16, Fort +2, Ref +0, Will +6 Channel pos 5/5, Rebuke Spirits 8/8, Command Undead 7/7 Oracle spells: 1st 5/5

Friday looked over the beautiful black wood of the cane with a big smile on her face. "Oh yes, dis will do jus fine..."

Then she sat down and ate with a happy sigh.

HP 17/17, AC 16, Fort +2, Ref +0, Will +6 Channel pos 5/5, Rebuke Spirits 8/8, Command Undead 7/7 Oracle spells: 1st 5/5

Friday propped her cane up on her shoulder and looked around with unabashed curiosity. She had a fondness for libraries, and for ruins. This place was both.

"Nice place you 'ave," she said with a smile.

HP 17/17, AC 16, Fort +2, Ref +0, Will +6 Channel pos 5/5, Rebuke Spirits 8/8, Command Undead 7/7 Oracle spells: 1st 5/5

I'm still getting that weird display issue where I can't hit the reply, edit, delete, or post buttons because the right edge of the screen is cut off. It's only for thus game and a couple others, not all of them. I'm stumped.

It's only on my phone, so I'll post from the computer later.

HP 17/17, AC 16, Fort +2, Ref +0, Will +6 Channel pos 5/5, Rebuke Spirits 8/8, Command Undead 7/7 Oracle spells: 1st 5/5

Friday looked at the dog she'd just killed, not sure of how to feel. She liked dogs. It had fallen asleep, did she have to kill it? Did she mean to?

She didn't want to think about it, so she turned her attention to the task at hand. She dragged the dead over to one of the barrels of filthy tannery much and unceremoniously stuffed them in and out of sight.

HP 17/17, AC 16, Fort +2, Ref +0, Will +6 Channel pos 5/5, Rebuke Spirits 8/8, Command Undead 7/7 Oracle spells: 1st 5/5

At a loss for anything to do, Friday moved forward and swing at the dog with her cane.

Club: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (18) - 1 = 17

She seemed surprised when the heavy head of her fancy walking stick made contact.

HP 17/17, AC 16, Fort +2, Ref +0, Will +6 Channel pos 5/5, Rebuke Spirits 8/8, Command Undead 7/7 Oracle spells: 1st 5/5

I'm getting a weird display bug in my gameplay threads where the display goes off the right side of the screen. So I can't see or touch the reply, edit or submit post buttons.

I'm going to dig into my display settings tomorrow and figure out what's going on. For now, I guess I'll post my action here. I'm going to move to where I can channel without healing our enemies, and then heal everyone for 1d6 ⇒ 6

HP 17/17, AC 16, Fort +2, Ref +0, Will +6 Channel pos 5/5, Rebuke Spirits 8/8, Command Undead 7/7 Oracle spells: 1st 5/5

Friday managed to avoid bumping into anything or tripping, and kept to the shadows almost like it was something she was good at.

HP 17/17, AC 16, Fort +2, Ref +0, Will +6 Channel pos 5/5, Rebuke Spirits 8/8, Command Undead 7/7 Oracle spells: 1st 5/5

Ah, I missed that part.

HP 17/17, AC 16, Fort +2, Ref +0, Will +6 Channel pos 5/5, Rebuke Spirits 8/8, Command Undead 7/7 Oracle spells: 1st 5/5

I'm curious about how the dog was CDG'd. Was it helpless?

HP 17/17, AC 16, Fort +2, Ref +0, Will +6 Channel pos 5/5, Rebuke Spirits 8/8, Command Undead 7/7 Oracle spells: 1st 5/5

Fighting off a nasty cold. I've been in nyquil fog since Saturday night. I thought I'd posted about that saving through. Guess I imagined it.

Fort: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19 Friday wasn't bothered by the smell. Her younger years were full of that sort of stuff. She giggled at Lavinia's song. "I'm not sure singing to it is what Alyssa meant by 'do something.'"

HP 17/17, AC 16, Fort +2, Ref +0, Will +6 Channel pos 5/5, Rebuke Spirits 8/8, Command Undead 7/7 Oracle spells: 1st 5/5

Escape Artist: 1d20 ⇒ 16

Friday carefully squeezed though, suddenly glad she'd lost some weight since all the trouble started.

She didn't seem the least bit bothered by the disgusting tubs of filth. She looked around for a place to hunker down while Lavinia scouted around.

HP 17/17, AC 16, Fort +2, Ref +0, Will +6 Channel pos 5/5, Rebuke Spirits 8/8, Command Undead 7/7 Oracle spells: 1st 5/5

Friday followed the others to the break in the fence, wishing she had different boots. Still, this was exciting. "t least the rain drowns out sound and makes it hard to see very far. I doubt anyone will be able to hear us moving around in this."

HP 17/17, AC 16, Fort +2, Ref +0, Will +6 Channel pos 5/5, Rebuke Spirits 8/8, Command Undead 7/7 Oracle spells: 1st 5/5

Where the idea of eating a rat had certainly bothered Friday, the stink of the Tannery apparently did not. The collar of her long coat was wide and turned up. Between that, her customary hat, and a scarf she was fairly well protected from the rain. She seemed to rather enjoy the rain, even when it was coming down in sheets.

She followed her sisters, letting them take the lead. The only clothing she had was a bit worn, but still far too fancy for the work they were currently doing. She was out of her element and she knew it.

At this level I'm pretty much only a healer and a talker, so for recon and the majority of the adventuring stuff I'm not going to be very useful. I'll follow along and try not to screw up any stealth attempts.
