![]() thanks all. that helps quite a bit. i just have to make sure the DM doesn't give me a problem and for my part as a player, deciding on whether playing my usual dwarf which a dwarven cleric would be a first or playing as human or half elf since i want to take the warpriest prestige class (from complete divine) ![]()
![]() With all the books and everything containing different core classes and prestige classes, why should it matter if there are so many. the group I'm playing with, all except one play a character straight from the player's handbook. we only use the other books for feats, spells, and other similar things unless a prestige class or two is just what we want for our characters for example, right now i'm playing a dwarven fighter. I took up the stonelord prestige class (from complete warrior) because it allowed me to go through my idea of what I wanted to do with my character (which was to have a dwarven fighter that was attuned with the earth allowing him to summon an earth elemental and to have other abilities related to the earth)

![]() The game I believe was designed to have a balance of good, evil, and neutral creatures. orc and other goblinoid creatures just happen to be put into the evil group while humans got put into the good group. Beside if one wants to get technical about good and evil with D&D, look at the war being wage between the demons (or was it the devils, I could never get it straight) what would one classify that situation evil vs evil?

![]() I think a familiar can be useful in the right situation.right now one player has a drow ranger that has a deep dragon for a familiar which has helped us against some creatures. in a previous campaign, we had two sorcereres and a ranger gain a familiar that the dm had made up they were (yes a retarded name) dragonflies. but instead of basing them on the dragonflies of our world, they were small flying creatures similar to dragons each was a different color (red, black, white, etc) my charactr through the leadership feat obtained one (don't ask, the dm allowed since these creatures falled within that feat) we had two black dragonflies, one gold (which was mine)and one red ![]()
![]() Hey everyone. I'm still trying to create a new campaign and I'm trying to get some monsters into it. I have a couple of books containing monsters. Some of the monsters in these books have been converted into the 3.5 version through Monster Manual (MM), MMII, and MMIII. What my question is, since some of the monsters that I want to use haven't been converted yet, does anyone know how to convert from v2.0 into v3.5 or where to find that information ![]()
![]() the choice to allow the half minotaur/half lizardfolk is yours. If it is (with class levels) not stronger than the other PCs it should be fine if it fits withing your campaign. The group I'm playing with right now, one of the campaigns we just finished the DM would not allow a drow or derro because of all the drow and minotaur withing the campaign but did allow for an ogre which just died this past friday and a plane touched character which died at the hands of a lich ![]()
![]() I don't remember his name but I had a dwarven thief. He wasn't the greatess but the best part about him was that he had a pair of gauntlets which had a dagger on each finger created into each for his weapons, but that didn't help when fighting a red dragon which I tried a dive onto its head. That was 15 years ago when I started playing. Since then I'm stying with my fighter class particularly dwarven since their easy to create and best for nighttime and underground campaigns (in my opinion ) ![]()
