Please cancel my Pathfinder Maps, Pathfinder Pawns, Pathfinder Accessories, Starfinder Maps, and Starfinder Accessories subscriptions.

I seem to have ended up with two copies of the Special Edition Gamemastery guide, one part of my subscription and the other not.

Please remove the non-subscription copy from my order.

I think I probably screwed something up.

I had added the new GM screen, combat pad, condition cards, and character sheets to my sidecart yesterday before the accessories subscription was available. When it became available today I subscribed to it, but ended up with doubles of everything in my sidecart. In an attempt to fix this myself it appears to have gotten somewhat screwed up.

Please verify that I am properly subscribed to Pathfinder Accessories and that I'll just be getting one copy of each when my order generates.

Please cancel my Pathfinder Battles subscription.

10-9 is not available as an option to report for.

While my monthly subscription order appears to have shipped, the PDF for the Plane-Hopper's Handbook is not on my download page, nor was it listed in the shipping notice email.

I'm unable to report for event #90466. I can, however, report for my other events.

When I try to report for #90466 I get a "Sorry, there was a problem handling your request. The system administrator has been notified." error page.

I'm going to be running this this Sunday and have just finished my initial read-through.

I certainly never expected to see "CR 17/MR 7" in a PFS scenario. I'm really looking forward to that one.

A few questions and observations:

Which version of DR/Epic should we use? The one that requires a +6 weapon to bypass, or the one from Mythic Adventures that just requires a +6 equivalent weapon to bypass?

Having Sorrina give the PCs standard potions of resist energy (fire) seems like a trap. The potions would be CL3, last half an hour, and grant 10 points of fire resistance. This would be largely ineffective against the amount of fire damage that the PCs will be taking.

Nonetheless, I'm debating dispelling the PC's energy resistance. It seems like something a smart monster would do, but with the 3d10 fire damage a round in most areas it's pushing the limits on how harsh I want to be as a GM. Still, it is a 12-15.

What alignment is Isah? Standard Efreeti are of course LE, but that seems a bit odd for him as written.

How many points does Vector's regeneration heal a round?

My monthly subscription order for July is very odd. It has just about every Starfinder product in it, but in a cancelled status.

I just attempted to subscribe to all four starting subscriptions for Starfinder. This was done under order 4347953.

Currently, my forum tags only show the Starfinder AP and RPG subscriptions.

My subscription page only shows those ones as well, however if I go to the product pages for the subscriptions they all show as purchased.

Attempting to access my order history from my account page returns the "Sorry, there was a problem handling your request. The system administrator has been notified." error page.

I ended up with two copies of Pathfinder Flip-Mat: Bigger Caverns in my monthly subscription order. Please remove one.

I will be running part 2 of bonekeep in a couple of weeks.

One of the players will be running a staggeringly broken build, which basically involves playing an alchemist's homunculus familiar. The actual alchemist is not generally present, as he uses skinsend and leaves his body elsewhere. The homunculus then caries the skin in a backpack.

The player is argumentative to the point of making me consider if I want to run the subsequent sessions. The other players are great, however, so I don't want to screw them over by dropping out, nor is it really fair of me to ask another GM to take over and have to deal with the cheese monster.

Skinsend has some limitations, namely that it has a CL*hours duration. The character in question is level 7, meaning he has 7 hours. Bonekeep is 12 miles away from Absalom and the party includes dwarves, so their overland travel rate is 2 miles per hour. He therefore has to leave his body in the wilderness somewhere if he's to return to it in time.

Other than that, the build is legal, if incredibly broken.

The party starts Bonekeep 2 with no memory of their first venture in to level 2 of bonekeep, but they were in fact captured per the adventure.

I need to figure out what this means for the homunculus and alchemist.

The party was captured. Those of them not immune to mind effecting had their memory wiped.

If the party was captured then skinsend would have ended before the skin returned to the alchemist's body. This means that his body would have been left at 0 HP, helpless, in the middle of the wilderness.

There's something of a question of what I, as the GM, can legally say happens at this point. Does a wolf come by and eat him? Does he starve to death? Does he just have to pay the body recovery cost merely for sitting down at the table? He needs a regeneration at this point due to skin send, but again, that's just for sitting down at the table.

What happens to the homunculus, which has all his gear? Is it released too? It seems more likely to me that being focused on the mind, the enchanter would have just destroyed it, but that seems quite harsh.

If the homunculous is still captured, then given the context of the scenario it seems odd to allow a body recovery on it or it's gear; the players are explicitly being sent back in to figure out what happened.

Does the mind wipe still effect the alchemist, even though he's remotely operating his skin? If not, what does he remember about the dungeon?

I'm a 4 star PFS GM and Venture Agent. Parts 1 and 2 of Bonekeep are already in my downloads, but part 3 is not.

I believe that I'm supposed to have access to part 3 and would like to have it in my downloads so that I can run the arc.

I ordered a Pathfinder Society: Year of the Stolen Storm T-Shirt but instead received a Pathfinder Society: Year of the Serpent T-shirt.

On an unrelated note, I'm a Venture Agent and 4 Star GM. Do I need to go through customer service or society leadership to get access to Bonekeep part 3? I have access to pretty much everything else but that.

I know that it's not quite the end of the shipping period, but I rather strongly suspect that for the second month in a row the Shadowrun Howling Shadows book has delayed my monthly shipment.

It was listed a ship separately for a reason.

I've yet to receive a shipment notice for my July subscription order, 3981929.

8 people marked this as FAQ candidate.

Can clerics use their domain spell slots to prepare metamagic versions of their domain spells?

As an example, could a fire domain cleric use their 7th level domain slot to prepare a Quickened Fireball?

I've been looking for an answer for this for a while now, but have yet to find anything definitive.

I've found several threads where people mostly agreed that it would work, but the actual rules basis is a little sparse.

I did find this post by SKR saying that a cleric could prepare multiple of the same lower level domain spell using higher level slots, which seems to imply that they could then use metamagic as well, but it's not clearly stated.

Ideally, a FAQ ruling would be appreciated.

I was at a PFS table recently when a new item was being discussed. I was a bit distracted, however, and only caught part of the discussion.

From what I heard, this was an item that let you get an extra swift action once per day.

I've been looking around for it in the recent PDFs, but can't seem to find it.

Did I just misunderstand, or does such an item exist?

I know it's not quite the end of the shipping dates, but I figured I'd get this in for tomorrow.

My monthly shipment still has not shipped yet. If there's something holding it up please move it to my sidecart for next month.

The PRD gives explains spellcasting requirements as follows:
To cast a spell, you must be able to speak (if the spell has a verbal component), gesture (if it has a somatic component), and manipulate the material components or focus (if any). Additionally, you must concentrate to cast a spell.

It also explains that "unless noted otherwise, you must be holding a rod to use its abilities."

Is it therefore impossible to cast a spell that has both a divine focus and a somatic component with a metamagic rod?

You need one hand to hold the holy symbol and another to hold the rod, which doesn't leave anything free to actually make gestures needed for the the somatic component.

We had some considerable disagreement at our table during the our Wrath of the Righteous session with regards to what would and would not stop the mythic path ability Mirror Dodge:

Mirror Dodge (Su):
When hit by a melee or ranged attack, you can expend one use of mythic power as an immediate action to replace yourself with an illusory duplicate and teleport to any open square within 30 feet of your current position. You take no damage from this attack, which instead destroys your illusory duplicate (similar to mirror image). Using this ability requires a line of effect to the teleportation target square.

Specifically, there was some disagreement about two effects: the spell Dimensional Anchor and the Phase Locking weapon enchantment.

Dimensional Anchor:

School abjuration; Level cleric 4, sorcerer/wizard 4

Casting Time 1 standard action

Components V, S

Range medium (100 ft. + 10 ft./level)

Effect ray

Duration 1 min./level

Saving Throw none; Spell Resistance yes (object)

A green ray springs from your hand. You must make a ranged touch attack to hit the target. Any creature or object struck by the ray is covered with a shimmering emerald field that completely blocks extradimensional travel. Forms of movement barred by a dimensional anchor include astral projection, blink, dimension door, ethereal jaunt, etherealness, gate, maze, plane shift, shadow walk, teleport, and similar spell-like abilities. The spell also prevents the use of a gate or teleportation circle for the duration of the spell.

A dimensional anchor does not interfere with the movement of creatures already in ethereal or astral form when the spell is cast, nor does it block extradimensional perception or attack forms. Also, dimensional anchor does not prevent summoned creatures from disappearing at the end of a summoning spell.

Phase Locking:

Price +2 bonus
Aura moderate abjuration; CL 7th; Weight —
DESCRIPTION

A phase locking weapon interferes with dimensional travel. A creature damaged by a phase locking weapon is affected as though by the dimensional anchor spell for 1 round.
CONSTRUCTION REQUIREMENTS

Craft Magic Arms and Armor, dimensional anchor; Cost +2 bonus

Both ultimately require an attack roll to take effect, which seems to imply they can be avoided with Mirror Dodge. However, Mirror Dodge only talks about damage and not secondary effects, which was the cause of the disagreement. Some of my players were arguing that as it only discusses damage that secondary effects like Dimensional Anchor will still take effect.

I do note that the Phase Locking enchantment only takes effect when things are actually damaged by a weapon with it, however.

I'd appreciate any insights people can offer.

It seems that several other people have posted about this already, but I am also missing the Giantslayer Poster Map Folio from my downloads.

I will be starting a Skull and Shackles campaign once my group finishes Wrath of the Righteous.

I usually allow all first party material, but I've become a bit concerned with every player's desire to play a race with a swim speed. Between the Undines and Wereshark-kins, I'm starting to wonder if I'll be running an underwater campaign rather than a pirate one.

For those who have played or GM'ed it, how badly will the AP be broken if all of the PCs have swim speeds?

I just received the shipment for order 3590836.

The Core Rulebook T-Shirt (XL) is missing.

The items pending from order 3506513, which I had thought was side-carted, are not listed in the email for my monthly subscription, 3492945.

Please add them to the order.

The strategy guide is not listed as part of my march subscription order. Please add it to order 3463625‏.

Order 3384811 still hasn't shipped. If there's something in there holding it up please set it to ship separately.

I've now played 3 different PFS scenarios with a level 1 halfling hydrokineticist.

I chose cold blast and slick for my talents.
I chose point blank shot for my feat.

In order played, the scenarios were:

6-06:Hall of the Flesh Eaters
4-15:The Cyphermage Dilemma
5:11:Library of the Lion

My major concerns with the initial build were extreme lack of skill points and the inability to get precise shot at level 1 with anything but a human.

I'll discuss the skill issues in each adventure, but at level 1 the kineticist favors humans to an almost absurd degree. I never felt like using a blast was a viable option against anything in melee, given the penalties to hit.

I do intend to continue to play this character and am interested in some of the benefits that halflings will get at higher levels, so I chose to play a halfling despite my concerns regarding my ability to hit things in combat.

I also had a hard time choosing a wild talent for level 1. Without precise shot extended range didn't make much sense. Pressurized blast infusion looked okay, but as a small character I'd still be taking a penalty to the CMB check for the bull rush. Icewalker had very limited utility, while Kinetic Blade and Fist were unappealing to my character build. The burn cost of Kinetic healer seemed a bit too much, which left the choice between Slick and Kinetic cover. I decided to go with Slick for general utility with the thought that I'd take Kinetic Cover at second level.

I'd suggest an option to spend a wild talent to get a combat feat, as per the rogue's combat trick talent.

Hall of the Flesh Eaters was played fairly combat heavy and I felt reasonably useful doing it. Slick proved useful in situations where I felt my chance to hit combined with my relatively low damage output made blasting unwise.

I'm told that the Cyphermage Dilemma is normally more balanced between RP, skills, and combat, but it was run fairly combat heavy for us. I didn't have much I could do in terms of helping with any skill checks, but again I found myself reasonably useful in combat, and slick proved useful to disarm certain opponents in an attempt to get them to surrender.

The GM took a look at my character sheet when I sat down to play the Library of the Lion and told me that I would be completely useless. I have to agree; I had nothing that I could do to help with any of the searches, my Int and Wis were low enough that I felt it to be poor RP to help with some of the puzzles, and my group avoided any combats. I rather liked that scenario, however, but I'd have been vastly better off playing a bard or investigator in it.

My August Subscription order, 3198919, was submitted on August 5th and is still in a pending status.

If there are certain items holding it up I'd prefer that those be sidecarted until next month and the bulk of the order be shipped as soon as possible.

I have three pre-orders for products that were supposed to be released this month, however they are not on the list of items in the order notification I just received for my monthly subscription.

They currently show no address assigned.

If possible, I'd like them included in my subscription shipment.

I can't even imagine what that must have felt like when you guys found out.

I'm still very much looking forward to the book, as are my players who are about to start a new campaign using the new classes.

Regarding the guardian path ability Sacrificial Shield, what counts as a weapon attack?

Clearly getting hit with a sword does, but what about a touch attack spell or a dragon's breath weapon?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I'm running WotR with a fairly heavy power gaming group and am wondering what to do with the two of my PCs who chose the Touched by Divinity campaign trait.

One is NG Tiefling summoner, the other a LN (but starting to trend towards LE) Dhampir Cavalier/Cleric.

Both chose Desna as their deity for the purposes of the campaign trait, mostly to get the luck domain spells (mainly miracle) as spell like abilities using mythic power. I'm fairly clear on how to handle that if they start to abuse it, but it does seem a bit too much.

More troubling is how I'm supposed to maintain a straight face when I tell a Tiefling and a Dhampir that Desna is really their mother.

The party will arrive at Drezen next session, so I have some time before this comes to a head, but I was curious if anyone else had had similar issues with their PCs or otherwise had suggestions on how to handle it.
