We will be playing The Tyrant's Grasp Paizo ap, converted to 2nd Edition. We are a largely casual, rp heavy group, and are looking for others who enjoy a similar environment. This will be our first 2e campaign so expect some slight growing pains.

Some notes we have had some players leave our game and are looking for new players to round out our party, we have just started the 5th module of the ap and you will need to make an 15th level character. Our party currently consists of a Kitsune Fighter/Cleric, A Human Magus, and a Half-Elf Champion.

In applications please include your name, age, your prefered class, and play style. Please include a short blurb about yourself, as well as telling us what your 3 genie wishes are and your character's 3 genie wishes..

Games are every Saturday at 5 PM EST sharp. Be sure to mention how this game time fits in your schedule.

P.S. No Evil/ CN characters allowed.

Hey there folks I just wanted to get a quick opinion on a reading of the rules.

So the Unleash Focused Intent Class Feature Read :Benefit When you Cast a Spell from your spell slots while you have Unleashed Focused Intent, you gain a status bonus to
that spell’s damage equal to double the spell’s level as long as spell deals damage and doesn’t have a duration."

So for Magic Missile specifically casting it for 3 actions at 2nd would the bonus damage apple to each individual missile cast, so 2d4+2+8; 2d4+2+8; 2d4+2+8?

Or would for Magic Missile specifically casting it for 3 actions at 2nd would the bonus damage apple to each individual action used, so 2d4+2+4; 2d4+2+4; 2d4+2+4?

Or would for Magic Missile specifically casting it for 3 actions at 2nd would the bonus damage apple just over all and be spit up among the missiles, so (2d4+2;2d4+2;2d4+2)+4?

Thanks for any insight?

So one of my players's had a question about this that I wasn't entirely certain how to rule on: Does a Martyr's Shield use it's own reaction when shield blocking an ally or is it using the player's reaction?

Quick question, is it possible to critically succeed with an offensive use of Lay On Hands against an undead? The rules state that the undead makes a basic fortitude save, but that only seems to be covering whether or not the undead takes a debuff to ac. So is it possible to double damage when using Lay on Hands offensively?

Good idea on Necerion he did seem very strong also

Hello again and I am back for more advice. I am running the playtest but only have 2 players due to the rest of the group dropping out for various reasons. I am looking for advice on what to do if my players end up fighting the Kraken, I fell a cr 18 creature even it i were to apply the weak adjustments a multiple times might kill them too easily, my current thought is to replace it with a couple of Sea Serpents with the elite adjustments and was wondering if anyone had a better idea.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

This is all very useful, thank you.

I'm running the playtest for my regular group and typically there are 4 players play the game regularly, but one dropped out after a week, as he decided the playtest was not for him, and a second pops in and out as he is in the mood as he isn't wild about the playtest either. In general I haven't had too much difficulty adapting for this, even with on player only playing sporadically.

I'm worried however about adapting for part 5 "Heroes of Undarin", according to the adventure guide having an accurate idea of when and what took the players down is very important, so I'm looking on advice on how to adapt part 5 of the playtest for 2-3 players instead of the regular 4, any advice??

According to the playtest rulebook in order to dispel an effect I make a counteract check using the spell level as the counteract level, but if I go to pg 319,320, nothing in the entry or table tell be what dc I'm supposed to use in order to determine what they should be rolling against. I assume it is a spell roll against the spell/items spell dc but this isn't made clear.
How is this all supposed to work? I find the entire Counteracting Conditions entry unclear, obtuse, and confusing and could use some help, please.

Hi all,

I'm confused about how much damage the "Telekinetic Storm" ability of the poltergeist actually does. Does it do 1d6+4 dmg to targeted creature up to 4d6+4 damage if targeting a single creature? Then how does it do a minimum of 8 damage unless it critically fails its attack roll?
I'm preparing for part 3 of the adventure path and ran in to this problem and can't seem to find an answer.
