Flenser bites Hallod a few more times, though more to make sure he doesn’t get up than to actually rip or tear. Half-standing on the prey-prize Flenser puffs up, wagging his tail and smiling at Jace. Then, when Aurumvorak arrives he steps off and goes back to sentry/alwrt mode.

Flenser, assured that this is a long stop, sits by the threshold, after giving the interior a cursory sniff from outside. He spins about a few times, prepares the ground by scratching it into better shape with his paws a few times, spins about a few more times, paws again, then curls up neatly into an ovoid of fangs, claws and fluff.

I'm not sure there are mechanical Scent advantages to Flenser at this level, but he could make a Tracking skill check perhaps...
