Heck, I'd even take a Risky Surgery-type effect, take some damage, remove an affliction. Call it "cauterize" or something.
Ah, thank you very much. I agree it's incredibly niche and situational, but it's SO very flavorful and cool. I think a few tweaks would quickly make it a much more viable pick. Maybe the ability to instantly follow-up with an impulse? It definitely feels like a "My turn now!" type of feat.
Hello. Just piping in to see if my reading of this feat is correct... Say I'm a Pyrokineticist, and someone targets me with a Fireball. I'm to make a counteract check, and then if I pass, I gather some Fire. But what happens to the spell? Does "counteracting the effect" mean I stop their entire spell(in this scenario)? Or do I just get to grab a small piece of it? I feel this difference wildly changes the power of this ability...
