Luwei draws her dagger and readies to daze any foe that approaches.

Luwei draws a ribbon from her sleeve and ties back her hair.

"Our duty is to Mai Chun. I won't be swayed."

Tien: "Have any wild creatures come to call this place their home?"

"Spirits linger for many reasons. Kami, for instance, are said to be the transformed spirits of great defenders of nature."

Luwei looks at the phantom out of the corner of her eye, "It may not be polite to ask."

As Glastor explores, Luwei peruses the books in the study, looking for any legible text.

"I'm not sure what it might mean, but from the arrangement of the remains, it does not appear to be the result of any conflict. An accident perhaps? Some mass transportation gone terribly wrong?"

As Glastor runs off to explore the north of the ballroom, Luwei checks the south side.

Luwei picks her way across the ballroom to cautiously open a door.

Luwei is fascinated by the surroundings, but doesn't take the time to look closely at any one thing.

I have rations, but I agree that it's generally considered polite to warn the adventurers you are sending off that they will need to avoid inns and fend for themselves.

Luwei nods to the woman, "Of course. Let us depart at once to seek the scroll."

"A map, a comb, and letters in the sky. Where might these lead us, Mai Chun?"

"No, but the bride and groom faced each other in a ceremonial game of Tennes Ball." she nods sagely, "They had met upon the courts as instructor and student. Afterwards, they signed their names upon the ball to commemorate the event."

Luwei readied to cast lock gaze when he appears to trip him up and provide her allies a chance to catch up. If he leaves her line of sight, he's blinded for a round.

Luwei casts message before L'mont makes it over the wall.

"Are there guards around?"

Luwei takes some time to calm down. Visibly smoothing over her clothes and assuming a mask of cheerfulness, "Self-important people expect powerful people to also be self-important. If you act like them and talk long enough, they stop asking pesky questions." she sniffs pointedly, "That man was especially rude."

Luwei listens to L'mont's explanation with a wry smile. "The cover of night offers our best opportunities, I believe."

It was very clearly a bluff to distract from his question. He never asked for an introduction before being insulting, either not seeing Luwei or pretending she didn't exist. She is understandably angry at the master's condescension, but using that anger to distract, not intimidate.

As for Tien, it was a mistake, but others are interpreting. Why didn't you just assume it was in Tien? Spoilers are fun if you actually use google translate for Tien-looking words. Spoilers for the sake of spoilers is just frustrating to read and more difficult to type on mobile.

I might forgive a man of your age poor eyesight for overlooking a woman standing before you. You would do well to return respect when it is offered you rather than spit on the face of strangers."

Luwei glances at the wayang before addressing Jianghong, "I shall walk the grounds in contemplation of the school and its meanings. Perhaps, you should review your studies of philosophy."

"I'm sure your instructors are quite pleased with your skill." Luwei remarks, raising an eyebrow. "Are your fingers as nimble as your tongue?"

Luwei composes herself before entering the school grounds before the gate. "It cannot hurt to have a look around."

Her face a picture of calm, curiosity, and friendliness, Luwei begins touring the buildings, looking for the silk map.

If asked I shall say I am an older sister, evaluating the school for a favored sibling. Smile. Act with authority.

I must see L'mont in action.

The giant map of the region is highly detailed. Someone with a steady hand carefully marked several remote locations in various mountain ranges. The border of the map is an intricate depiction of the Dragon Empires zodiac.

"The map we recovered for Mai Chun had various signs of the zodiac detailed along the border." Luwei recalls, "The sign of the dog is a clever clue to the location of the palace."

Luwei sits up and shakes her head, "I recognized the symbol for Dog in the zodiac. I'm not sure what it could mean."

"One in each, I would think. Do you need help, L'Mont?"

Luwei directs her lights to give the wayang the best view.

Luwei's dancing lights flit among and between her companions as she joins them. range is 110 ft

"Directions to the palace are said to be ‘writ in letters of green fire.’..."

"If we are to find the directions to the palace, we must fire some of these off now. What better way to send a signal than with lights in the sky?" Luewei smiles and summons green dancing lights that she directs to dance and swirl around the party.

"Then let us make our way." Luwei steps carefully around the stone structures.

Luwei casts message on L'Mont. "Go ahead. We'll muddle our way in the dark." she pauses, thinking about the guards, "I will conjure dancing lights to distract anyone that gets too close."

Luwei gives L'Mont a disapproving look, "You seem far more familiar with this kind of activity than a respectable man ought to." her face breaks into a mischievous grin as she adds, "I like that about you."
