Ruano pauses a moment. "I'd like to speak the blessing in the Druid's Tongue. Do you think the people would mind?"

"I'm sure they would be delighted, Ruano."

Did I get an opportunity to speak with Father Zanthus before the ceremony?

Sorry, I'd missed that comment in the press.

Yes, indeed. It takes a minute for you to catch his attention as Father Zantus is quite busy with preparations, but a little assistance from Spot gets him to notice you.

"Of course, friend halfling. We would greatly appreciate the addition of a druid's blessing to our dedication tonight. We've asked Madam Mvashti, mostly out of courtesy, but she doesn't venture outside very often. The dedication is at sundown. I'll draw everyone's attention by dropping a thunderstone, but it might be best if you try to make it over here just before then. Trying to work your way through the crowd might be a little challenging. We have plenty of halflings living in town, but we taller folk can be a self absorbed lot, especially at a festival."

Perhaps a target and some practice arrows would be best then. Only problem was where to set it up.

Father Zantus might have some notions.

Kinmorn took one last look at the shrine and then went to look for the older priest.

I am willing to pay for some straw men and practice arrows (Does 40 practice arrows for 1 gp sound right?) out of my character’s pocket if Zantus is willing to go along with the scheme. Also Kinmorn wants to ask at the armory if Savah would be interested in loaning some short bows to such a setup for use for the day.

"But of course, brother. But before you go spending that priest's pittance, see if Naffer Vosk has any straw lying around. Never trust to your coin purse what your body and spirit can accomplish, my friend," he says, breaking into a broad grin. "Unless you're praying to Abadar."

"And while you're at it, tell Savah she's only allowed to charge you for arrows and bows you don't return to her. If she gives you a hard time, tell her I said, 'She'd best behave, or else.' And then tell me what color her face turns when you get back."
