Given that the Mayor's brother and fiance were killed by a serial killer, she had every reason to be upset about any possible connection the PCs might have with a new serial killer running amok, which I did have her mention.

And it's not like I haven't shown that they have friends in town, they just...choose to focus on the few a@%!%$!s they've met.

However, you should make sure there are opportunities for the players to redeem themselves. It will be important later on that they are able to return. If nothing else, their intervention against the stone giant raid ought to do it.

This is partly my concern since the players are making it clear that, save for Ameiko, they have little love for Sandpoint and they might just abandon the town. The party leader wants to help out where she can, but she didn't take the accusation of being connected to the murders very well, the Witch wants to get the Mayor kicked out of office, the Magus flat-out hates *everyone*, and the Warpriest is neutral to the whole thing.

(Our campaign as whole so far can be summed up as follows)

I apologize for my lateness, but finished save for questions and a full backstory.

I think I'll try a Ti'Larinn Ranger.

3d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 2) = 14
3d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 6) = 15
3d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 1) = 6
3d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 6) = 14
3d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 1) = 10
3d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 4) = 7

1d6 ⇒ 1
1d6 ⇒ 2
1d6 ⇒ 5

6,6,(6) = 18
5,(6),6 = 17
2, 3, (6) = 11
(6),6,6 = 18
5,4,(6) =15
(6),5,4, = 15

18,17,11,18,15,15. I think that's right.
