Are your players cool with this? I wouldn't be if its a long-term game. I suggest letting them read the S&S player's guide and letting them make their own characters. If you allow races with a swim speed, you will be eliminating one of the primary hazards of the game (which i don't think is good).

EyeEye responds:

As for pre-gen characters we are still talking that over the group as a whole wants a balanced group with maximum content exposure, we've voted on low powered builds also

Hey all !

Im getting ready to run Skulls and Shackles in a couple weeks and i want my players to really get the most out of the adventure path. I am thinking about possibly assigning pre-generated characters. So I am seeking advice on a four player group combo that will get the most out of the content in this AP.

Thanks!

The bard/oracle ends up looking something like this with some basic gear on it.

Thanks! My party seems a little arcane light so this may be a very viable option for me.

Thanks for all the options! could you elaborate on this build ?

Hello All !

Well, i am having some issues. I have been asked to join a RotRL campaign to fill the roll of "skill monkey". I would be starting at 8th lvl with a 15 point buy. As much as i would like to play, i am having some serious reservations. It just seems that with the low point buy in and the trap/knowledge/skill responsibilities I'll be sacrificing pretty much all combat versatility. Anyone out there been in this situation before? Im looking to have some fun, not a migraine!
With the limited point buy an empiricist seems like the way to go. Because of the role selection the DM can probably be coerst into letting me start with a piece or 2 of vital equiptment. Please HELP!

Hello all ! I'm looking for some advice on a 8th lvl 15 pt empiricist build for RoTRL (starting at the Hook Mountain Massacre) as i will be the praverbial skill monkey, i wouldn't mind having some combat versatility. I don't know if i want to splash a level of inspired blade into the mix, but i will if need be (any racial/weapon viability options?). Starting off with some decent equipment won't be a problem (GM given Magnamarian benefactor). So far, the group will consist of a brawler, cleric, witch, and a slayer. Any and all advice is greatly appreciated !

Like the class option! Thanks

Yeah, i totally meant Disable Device

Hello All !

Well, I need a build for a 15point 6th level Archaeologist (with progression please) for Rise of the Runelords PLEASE! I'm fairly new to pathfinder so any and all (feats/equiptment/traits/race/class/etc) advice is wholeheartedly appreciated ! I guess I'm jumping in somewhere around the end of chapter 2 (i was transported to magnimar from sandpoint to face trial for Katrina Vinders murder and was vindicated by the party). I decided on Archaeologist because the party needs Skill Monkey/Party Face/Trapfinder-Disarmer/Knowledge guy (the party has no rogue or bard so i was thinking Archaeologist with vagabond child/fates favored/scholar of the ancients traits). the party consists of a cleric/slayer/brawler and a witch.

Thanks much! i guess I've only got ruffly 36 hours till the dice drop!

hello all!

Getting ready to start Serpents skull and was playing around with playing a Dhampir Inquisitor with the Kinslayer archetype. As I am new to Pathfinder some build advice would be greatly appreciated ! I really couldn't find any posts on this archetype.

Thanks!

Hello all,

Hey I'm new to pathfinder and starting a RotRL campaign and was told that i would be filling the role of party face and skill monkey, so i decided to go Bard Archaeologist, i rolled some great stats (2d6+6) and got 17,17,17,16,14,11 and plan on taking vagabond child (DD) and Fortunes Favorite for the luck bonus and going Half-elf for the favored class bonus.
Im still undecided on a melee (elven curved blade?) vs. ranged build
its seems already that I'm starved for feats either way i go, i wouldn't mind crafting (wondrous item) if i can fit it in (is it going to be a waste of time?)
Any advice on builds will be wholeheartedly appreciated
Thanks!

Hello all! well i dont know if my party is doomed for failure or not... of course, were new to pathfinder. The party at hand is so far a bloodrager, a hunter, a slayer, and a witch with a 5th (GM is going to upscale). ? is any advice on the 5th player's class? I'm seeing possible problems arising with no channeling abilities, no pure casting, and no skill monkey....
any advice would be greatly appreciated as we are gearing up to start soon- Thanks
