Let's say I have an unchained rogue (knife master) 5 and Investigator (Questioner)5 and Arcane Trickster 3. If I take accomplished sneak attacker, does it increase the sneak attack of both the rogue class and the arcane trickster class, or just one of the classes? Without the accomplished sneak attacker, this character would have 4d6 sneak (3d6 from U-Rog and 1d6 from AT). I know Hero lab doesn't always get the rules right, and it seems to think that when I took ASA, that both classes sneak attack went up by 1 die. If it's correct, I'd still be under half my total level for sneak attack dice at 6d6. If it only applies to one class, then the correct total would be 5d6. For reference from AT:
Each class granting the character sneak attack tracks their +d6's separately even though the two sources explicitly stack.
I've included the descriptions from the SRD of both the Power Attack feat and the nonlethal damage section of Combat. I've seen other players using saps (in particular rogue sap masters) and fighters with merciful weapons doing power attack and non-lethal together. However, reading Power Attack to remind myself of the differences between PF and 3.5, it says the bonus damage does not apply to effects that do not hit point damage. And non-lethal damage says it is tracked separately from hit point which implies it is not hit point damage. Doesn't that mean that you don't get the bonus damage of power attack when you deal nonlethal damage? I was looking at playing a sap master myself in PFS, but I don't want to be a cheater by using Power Attack if it does not work together. Thanks, Eric Power Attack (Combat)
When your base attack bonus reaches +4, and every 4 points thereafter, the penalty increases by –1 and the bonus to damage increases by +2. You must choose to use this feat before making an attack roll, and its effects last until your next turn. The bonus damage does not apply to touch attacks or effects that do not deal hit point damage. Nonlethal Damage

I'm trying to figure this out as well. My ranger is getting close to level 4 and I'd prefer to take an animal companion over the other option for hunter's bond. Several books list animals. For example, Beastiary 1 says Roc are available as animal companions. Can I take one on my ranger, or am I stuck with the FAQ ruling of only the animals listed on page 66 unless it's on an adventure cert?
Hi. I'd like to organize a Pathfinder Society group in Pittsburgh, PA to meet bi-weekly or monthly initially. It's how I started a big RPGA group, and I'm hoping to do the same for PFS. I'm open to discuss which day(s) of the week/month work out best for people's schedules. Please contact me at PittsburghRPGA@gmail.com if you're interested. Cordially, Eric Kiefer |
