Earthdawn Appreciation Day June 14th, 2013 Hey everyone, I'm an old school fan of Earthdawn. So I'm running an Earthdawn Appreciation Day event over on my Blog. I'm running a contest for new Content, and have Hank Woon, Steven Black and Andrew Raglang lined up as guest judges. It's pretty simple guideline for the contest. Submit some new original material for Earthdawn (Any edition, including Pathfinder Edition and Savage Worlds), on your blog or email it to me; and I will post on June 14th on the blog. The timing is intentional, being the day before FREE RPG DAY, so there's new material for Earthdawn for FREE RPG DAY. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prize, with 4, 2 & 1 PDFs from the entire Earthdawn catalog available at Drivethru. Come check out the blog for full details and ideas.
You could actually run the PFS adventures as PFS adventures, you would just need to span them over multiple days. You would need to make sure you have a commitment from every player, and, the best things would be to take a picture with a smart phone of any battlemat layout at the end of a play period. PFS scenarios are designed to play in 1 4-hour time slot. 5 45 minute sessions is 3:45 hours. The benefit of running PFS is additional Society goals, and NO PVP, No evil alignments. In addition easily controlled rewards are generated. That's my 2 coppers.

It had new editions, up until the beginning of the year, Mongoose was publishing the Earthdawn 3rd edition line. RedBrick is releasing these as both Pathfinder/Savage Worlds editions....while waiting for the timer to elapse from the Mongoose break to release the ED edition again.
There's definitely room for improvement with adepts, as I say in my review of it, the only thing I really didn't like is the Vancian spell casting, I always loved the spell matrix/thread weaving of Earthdawn, and was hoping to see a new skill-based magic system I could use in my Pathfinder Games. All in all the fluff is there to support a Pathfinderized Earthdawn game. Some of the character creation guideline require some interpretation, but it's a fun looking game. Is the feat to become an adept a free feat? Or is it the first level feat?
I also review products specifically for Child appropriateness, as I game with my 12 year old twins. For example, Dresden Files RPG, like its namesake line of novels isn't really designed for younger children. I cover whether the offending material is images, themes or even language (Cthulhu Tech is a language offender).
Anyone going to Anime Conji in San Diego? The boys and I will be covering the event as Press. Just posted a review of the New Interface Zero: Hacking 2.0 rules
Weapon Wordsearch has been posted on the board for this Fun friday. This week I also put up reviews for Distant Worlds and Pirates of the Inner Sea.
Start a blog, I did, hasn't paid off monetarily, but contacts are cool. Been unemployed since April Fools last year...I have some freelance stuff I've been doing, but it's been ROUGH. Luckily I have my blog to keep my mind off it. There's just not much work in the Architectural Field in San Diego, and us drafters are getting replaced by Licensed Architects working for a drafters wage. Feel sorry for me, come by my blog enjoy the content, and click some ads or buy something from DriveThru RPG using my affiliate link ;) Also any feedback would be AWESOME!
Have added many more reviews to the blog lately, Interface Zero, several more supplements. Also I run a Fun Friday set of posts, last week was an RPG Crossword, this coming Friday is a weapons wordsearch, on previous weeks I have been posting Dungeon Madness, a kind of mad lib based around gaming adventures.

I listened to the full seminar. I think they're taking a good direction, while I have not been a 4e supporter, I listened to what they said in the seminar and there were some good lessons they seem to have learned. 1. More open play-testing (including the new skirmish rules to go along with the minis.)
I have a big reaction thread on my blog.
I am pleased to announce (with my Pathfinder RPG Review Part I just being posted) or Family Oriented Game Blog: Epic RPG Blog to the Paizo Community. In addition, my boys, have been doing interviews. Amongst those they've interviewed are:
