Being a halfling monk, I can tell you that it is certainly a worthy class choice for people of my size and stature. With a bonus to Dex, we typically have high ACs (and that's not counting the +1 modifier due to size). We also have a additional +1 to saves on top of the monk's already good numbers in all three areas. Add to that the +1 bonus to-hit and things are looking good. Sure, we're slower and do less damage at low levels but our self-perfection makes up for this. Thus, through pursuing a monk's way, we negate all the detractors of being small and maintain all the benefits.

Would someone be so kind as to draw me?

The image you see to the left doesn't do justice to the scars from burns and acid and other forces of energy that cover my body, but it was the closest avatar I could find. I tend to wear a hood over my head that puts most of my face in shadow, but someone looking closely can see that I have suffered much pain in my life. I am not ashamed of the scars, and one can see them more prominently on my legs and arms, where my loose monk's garb falls away. I have just found that people tend to take you more seriously when they don't instantly assume you are a leper or something. I tend to carry on me lots of splash weapons, since I can't become a mage of my own talents, hitting someone with acid or fire or holy water is as close as I can come. Usually these hand from my chain belt. If you need a further description, I will gladly give it to you, though much can be found in my bio page.
