About Ennora Dell
Ennora Dell was born a slave of a minor noble house in Infernal Cheliax. In her youth, she performed menial tasks in support of her master's wife, but when she came of age, she was deemed ready for her real "work."
Her master was an ex-Pathfinder who separated from the Society out of his own greed, and dragged Ennora across the globe in search of ancient relics and magical artifacts. When the effects of a new discovery needed to be tested, Ennora was the unwilling subject. The immediately noticeable result of her position was a scarred and disfigured form, but Ennora gained something else during her years of servitude.
Over time she found that her pain steeled something inside her and strengthened her resolve, not only to make herself a better person, but to escape her life of servitude and harness the power both within herself and hidden deep in the ancient tombs and palaces of antiquity. She soon devoted her life to pain, and began to inflict upon herself small amounts of displeasure as a way of reminding her of her own inner strength, and eventually built up the will to escape from her master.
One evening, in a tent in the middle of the desert, Ennora was yet again set to be the subject of a magical test. This time, she was prepared, however, and when the blast of flame hit her from the strange apparatus her master had discovered, she relished the pain and channeled it into a rage, which she focused on the unsuspecting aristocrat. With a whirlwind of kicks and punches, she flew at him, knocking him back and onto the ground. It took her only a few more moments to get atop him and swiftly snap his neck.
She knew she was now free, but also that she would be hunted and killed by her master's family, so she fled into the sandy wastes in search of a new life (and to save what little of a life she had), all the while thanking Zon-Kuthon for granting her strength from pain and giving her the resolve to make herself the force that she would surely become.
Today, she resides primarily in Absalom, a member of the Pathfinder Society, taking every opportunity to experience new levels of pain and inflict it on others--not so much to torment them, but as a way of giving back the thing which motivated her to create her own path. She longs to be a mage herself, recognizing the power that such elemental forces can create, but she lacks the inner abilities to do so. Instead, she continues to perfect herself, ever excelling at converting her pain into power.
