Yeah... Costs nothing to keep waiting, heh.

I'm getting really concerned with our DM's sudden radio silence.

*applause* I don't have time to be clever right now, but it's great to meet another punslinger.

I'm still waiting on the GM for some equipment questions.

We already have a certain level of nice stacking, albeit perhaps not as nicely as Raging Song and Inspire Courage.

Ellios's Inspire Courage boosts to-hit and damage.
Ligeia's Predator's Song also increases damage, which I'll admit isn't a perfect overlap, but also increases move speed.

The Skald really doesn't fit my vision of Ellios, in any case.

Thanks for picking up the trapfinding job, Skimber.

Also I agree, we should be good on healing. I'll probably be picking up Cure Light Wounds as a bard spell, myself, when I learn a new one.

A curiosity, since we have two bards on staff: Who here will regularly be making attack rolls, whether ranged or melee?

I know I will, and clearly, Isshash will as well. Who else?

If we're going to have Inspire Courage and Predator's Song going on at once, it'd be great to get some use out of them. :P

Rebuild-wise, I'm done with the exception of my equipment. Waiting on an answer to my earlier question first.

I've added some elements to my background to sprinkle in the Swashbuckler influence and drop a few NPC connections for the GM to use at his leisure. The main one here, for GM approval:

Quote:
Out of a need to defend himself from the occasional rowdy heckler, Ellios sought martial training in the art of fencing. Though he was unable to obtain lessons from the renowed Orsini Academy, he sought out some references on fencing from the owner and his greatest pupils and, over time, trained himself into a reasonable imitation of Orsini's own style.

Do we have a healer, by the way?

Congratulations to my fellow players, and better luck next time to those who didn't make the cut!

GM, are you alright with this feat?

Also, does armor penalty affect creatures with innate swim speed? Is there a form of armor that doesn't hinder swimming as much? I haven't a clue what to do there.

... as a matter of fact, could we have a quick rundown of what parts of the aquatic physics and conditions apply or not? I doubt many of us are very familliar with the workings of aquatic adventures.

Perhaps a rogue or something equally skill-based? We do need a trap-finder.

With three votes for Gestalt, I'm going to go ahead and rebuild Ellios as a Bard/Swashbuckler.

I'm going to be focusing him more towards the martial side, and less towards the arcane side.

(As part of that, I'm dropping Use Magic Device for Intimidate, which works nicely for Swashbuckler.)

Looking forward to starting play!

Isn't Isshash pretty much martial, from being an elemental?

Also, if we go gestalt, I'm planning to go with a Swashbuckler, to help on the martial end.

Is anyone planning on gestalting into a rogue or other trapfinder class?

Ligeia, with both of us being bard-ish classes, I'm concerned that we may fall into redundancy. Would you mind giving me an idea of how you're planning to progress so I can build something divergent enough? Thankfully, Inspire Courage and Predator's Song overlap very nicely. If I gestalt into Swashbuckler, I'll be swapping Diplomacy for Intimidate, which will allow us to similarly be more distinct for social situation. (Good cop, bad cop.)

.

Been a while since I got to gestalt. I'll vote for it.
