Male Elf Sorcerer/1

Hello everyone,

It is with a sad heart that I pass on the message that Fobok has passed away. He was a great friend and will be missed. I knew him since the 90s and he has always been an amazing friend, going the extra mile, and creating a fun environment for everyone.

Male Elf Sorcerer/1

Fobok wanted me to let you know he is having issues logging in.

Male Elf Sorcerer/1

Turning about the elf moved to make his way towards the tower pausing to gaze upon his three companions his voice lowering as he spoke, “There is something coming, I am unsure how many, I believe it may be best for us to make our way inside, least we be overwhelmed .”

Male Elf Sorcerer/1

For Elisdriel’s actions he is going to cast produce flame at the monsters being lured out.

Combat: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 161d4 ⇒ 1
Combat: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 271d4 ⇒ 4
Combat: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 271d4 ⇒ 3
Combat: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 151d4 ⇒ 4
Combat: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 171d4 ⇒ 1

Male Elf Sorcerer/1

The elf watches the human for several moments before speaking, “Despite my noble blood I am a diplomat and a scholar. I am not a scout. Keeping an eye from afar is not something I have dedicated my life to. Obtaining information is. As you have assessed that calling forth magical flames to consume the undead.” Despite his protests the elf makes his way off to keep watch.

Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13

Male Elf Sorcerer/1

Glad to hear she is making improvements Silas and will keep her in my prayers.

Cautiously optimistic with things moving in the right direction for the rest of this year and continuing in this New Year to come. Its been a crazy year and I for one am ready for my biggest problem to be if I choose completely stupid spells to start off with.

Male Elf Sorcerer/1

Heads up from Fobok he is unable to post at this time, however he will do so once he is able.

Male Elf Sorcerer/1

The elf listens to the plan considering for a moment, "I am not sure my lack of weapon and armor makes the greatest of cover. If we were to do that plan perhaps Iandra covering our flank, while my magic strikes them from afar." Pausing for a moment he adds his gazing moving to each of his companions, "Or the four of us enter together. United we are stronger than splitting out strength."

Male Elf Sorcerer/1

The elf’s lips pressed together in a thin frown as the skeletal hand appears. After seeing to it that Tothi is not injured from the near fall Elisdriel presses his fingers against his forehead as if warding off a headache, “It was to much to hope that all was well. Still there is hope that we have a survivor inside.” With a small shrug of his shoulder he turns his gaze to the door quickly casting mage armor upon himself.

Male Elf Sorcerer/1

After a few moments of silence and appraising his companions the elf finally spoke, “Then we are to all climb up and attempt to make our way inside?” stroking his chin once more he looked to the barred doorway, “Perhaps we might give a sharp bang on the door call out and If any response favorably let them out.”

Male Elf Sorcerer/1

The elf for his part remains silent as the prayers are spoken. Knowing not the dead nor serving their god to send them off he remains appropriately solemn. Though not grieving he remains respectful to the one mourning the loss of her companions. Once the ceremony ends, he prepares to make his way off moving silently.

As to the fate of the half orcs he makes no movement to give return their weapons to them nor does he offer to slay the unarmed or send them away. A chance at redemption, cannon fodder, or perhaps to send to their future patron if her nephew is discovered dead. He will not argue their fate either way, however he is not one to take part in the death of those who have surrendered.

Once they arrive to the siege tower Elisdriel studies it for several moments rubbing his chin, “No desire to open the gates and free whatever is inside? Perhaps it is our allies seeking to free themselves, but I am not quite willing to trust on such luck.” There is a shake of his head, “Courtly intrigue is where I excel. I defer to the three of your wisdom.” He gestures to the trio, half orcs if they were allowed to remain excluded.

Male Elf Sorcerer/1

Once Silas brings the two away the elf’s gaze turns to Inadra his voice lowering, “It seems that the missing noble is not something which occurred by accident. It is to distract our soon to be patron.” He gestures to the dead, "The death was planned their leader was under orders to kill any who came by claiming salvage rights."

Male Elf Sorcerer/1

Update from Fobok his voice is sore and so he is not able to post at this time. He will be posting as soon as possible however.

Male Elf Sorcerer/1

“Or you could travel with us and complete the task you had started.” The elf says his gaze turning to the half orcs as he continues to speak, “As for them, they shall not trouble you any further and they have much to atone for. You will be safe traveling with us if you so choose.”

Male Elf Sorcerer/1

As Silas speaks Elisdriel turns his attention turning to the half elf before looking to the parchment, “Quite ambitious indeed. He indeed earned the compensation he deserved.” Considering for a moment the elf would pause for a moment, “If there is no disagreement when all is ready, we should continue onwards.”

Sorry for vanishing like that. I didn’t realize I wasn’t checking the board.

Male Elf Sorcerer/1

“Not for a single moment.” The elf says with a shake of his head, “There is too much at stake to turn away losing the good will and the power and influence that comes with it. With any luck this noble will be half dead and we shall not bring forth ill tidings. If so than we shall have to console the councilwomen and at least she may mourn her nephew.”

Male Elf Sorcerer/1

Though he listens to the words the elf doesn’t speak remaining focused on the magical spell in removing the weapons. His companions continuing to lead the conversation without his interruption for the moment.

Male Elf Sorcerer/1

“New management and with that comes freedom. Naturally we must make up for your hardship and tend to your wounds and see to it that you are safe. I am Elisdriel and you are indeed under our protection.”

The elf continues to keep his focus on the two-half orcs focused on keeping them in order as Iandra continues with the halfling. Making a gesture to one dropped weapon than the other as he speaks a word of power to move it further from the former foe's hands.

Using Mage Hand to magical move each of the weapons away.

1 person marked this as a favorite.
Male Elf Sorcerer/1

"Or perhaps we might add them to our service? Have them pay their debts four our cause." Elisdriel stated a hand moving in an arcane gesture, [b] "For any such chance they should drop their weapons least we finish what was started." [b]

Elisdrel has +7 for intimidation checks. +7 For Diplomacy as well.

Male Elf Sorcerer/1

Hello passing on a message for Fobok. Real life issues have arisen and he will not be able to post in the near future. Estimated time is a week or two.

Male Elf Sorcerer/1

There is a small shake of the elf’s head as his spell misses the target. The frown forming upon his lips as he prepares another attempt at the spell. Once more he conjures up a small flame to send flying towards the half orc once more.

Attack Roll:: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18
Damage Roll:: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

Male Elf Sorcerer/1

As the battle started the elf surveyed the scene his eyes narrowing. Unarmed it would not be to anyone’s benefit if he charges forward. With a practice motion and an arcane word, he focused his arcane energy. A small magical flame forming in the palm of his hand. Extending his will Elisendrel launched it towards the half-orc.

Casting Produce Flame on half orc that Iandra Thistlerun is attacking.

Attack Roll: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 101d4 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

Male Elf Sorcerer/1

“My talents tend to be more suited to avoiding combat.” Elisdriel stated with a small shrug his words a soft whisper, “Aside from drawing attention and setting them on fire, which is likely to gain an arrow my way.” After speaking a few gestures would be made as he spoke the magical words needed casting mage armor on himself.

Male Elf Sorcerer/1

Elisdriel nodded his head at the woman's words. He quickly cast his spell of mage armor on himself in order to be completely prepared for the combat which would lay ahead.

Male Elf Sorcerer/1

As Silas speaks Elisdriel slowly nods his head in agreement, “Indeed, it would be a distraction, yet I would not wish for those sent ahead to die without need. Slaying them could always become a tale that we are strong enough to slay those who stand in our way.”

Continuing to glance in the direction of the half orcs he continues to speak, “There is much wisdom in your words with the risk of them being behind us. “

Male Elf Sorcerer/1

There is a pause from Elisendrel as peers into the darkness a small nod of his head is given, “It seems we have three choices then.”b The elf says speaking in a soft whisper, “Slay them, avoid them, or attempt to bring them to our cause.” He looks between the pair as he prepares to cast mage armor based on their reply.

Letting out a small sigh the sorcerer practiced the magical gestures for his spell as he spoke, “While not overly fond of orc kin if we were able to bring to our side it might aid in our plans in establishing our cover.”

Male Elf Sorcerer/1

Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19

A wry smile played upon Elisdriel’s lips as his fellow elf spoke to him. “I thought it best not to stand in the way of those of a divine calling.” The smile would fade after a moment his gaze turning about the area as his lips pressed together in a thin line as he would move between the pair following along as quietly as he may prepared to call forth his magical talents should the need arise.

As the glow form the campfire is spotted in the distance, he pauses cupping a hand to his ear in an attempt to increase his chances of catching the sounds from the camp.

Edit, I forgot to bold the talking.

Male Elf Sorcerer/1

For his part Elisendrel remains silent following along without word. He seems to keep this thoughts to himself only speaking once they arrive, “I do not wear any armor myself and would best remaining in th back.”

Male Elf Sorcerer/1

Quick update from DM Fobok. He is unable to make a post at this time. He loves the game and is having a lot of fun running things. So the game is not abandoned and soon he will be back to making some posts so the story will be able to continue.

Male Elf Sorcerer/1

The elf nods his head agreement to the words spoken by Silas not wishing to echo that he to is more than willing to seek out the missing cousin, “At the very least if he is an undead monster, he is not a poor one.” From his expression his attempt at humor a stretch even for his own tastes.

That was the last thing for me to say!

Male Elf Sorcerer/1

As he rose to his feet the elf would respond to Isandra’s words offering a small shrug of his shoulders, ”Even as we would seek deception and our enemies would hope to have us properly looked into before we put an end to their plans? Even so our patron has stated the first group was Chelish agents and even if that were not so power may corrupt.”

He falls silent once more as the Barkeeper enters into the room nodding in agreement to her words his gaze moving to see the list of names in case, he might recall anything which may prove useful.

I would like to make a society check to see what Elisdriel may know of the nobles listed.

Male Elf Sorcerer/1

Sitting in his chair the elf noble listened to the words spoken. A small nod given as he listened to Silas and Korso answering the cleric first, “If we were to steal a communication, what recourse do you believe shall be taken? Those we oppose would seek us out. I know not how well they are connected, but at the very least they could use the law as tools to oppose us as well. A risk which may not pay off as we may gather anything.”

A small smile plays upon his lips, “But Korso’s suggestion is one I believe, being in the midst of the nest of vipers. As the give us tasks we will know what they are up to, who they are connected with. We shall have constant information. The largest risk is our hearts. We will be tempted to truly join them. I pray that the servants of the righteous." His gaze moves between Korso, Iandra, and Zar, “Might keep us focused on our task.”

Male Elf Sorcerer/1

Having followed the group into the room, the elf makes himself comfortable sitting in a chair his gaze moving over his companions, measuring them as they speak.

“I am Elisdriel a minor enough of a noble that I have not apparently been sought to be bribed with power. I have on occasion worked with various people, make the proper introductions, handle things in a quite discreet way. I am not one for combat and I may know one or two parlor tricks, but I am really just another pretty face that does a great deal of talking.”

Letting out a heavy sigh while brushing a hand through his hair the noble continued, “It seems we really have one decent option in this affair does it not?”

Male Elf Sorcerer/1

Turning his gaze to the others the elf states, “Then shall we be off to the other rooms to discuss our skills and determine how we might best proceed?” as the group makes their response, he uses the time to appraise them closely as if judging each of their worth.

Male Elf Sorcerer/1

“I am guessing either killed or turned the other side.” Elisdriel said shaking his head his hands moving to clasp behind his back, “Sadly it seems I for one have no choice. I have no desire for the alternative.”

Male Elf Sorcerer/1

“So, you need someone you can pretend you did not hire if things go badly and those you praise if things go well.” The Half-Elf shakes his head, “I do not enjoy being seen as disposable.” A small smile plays upon his lips, “So I am assuming the need is great and they reward will be even greater.” A small bow is given as the illusion fades the elf’s gaze remaining upon the human, “Elisdriel at your service.”

Male Elf Sorcerer/1

Will save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18

The Half Elf would slowly shake his head watching everything which was occurring, “You speak of what you desire, but it was you who called us was it not? Perhaps it might be better for you to begin with who you are and why you called us here.” His gaze following after the half-orc hoping to place him. As he spoke he moves closer to the chairs appraising the human more closely.

Male Elf Sorcerer/1

The stench assaulted the elf as he entered into the room. The scent was one of blood and sweat from the combat within the pit. Taking a shallow breath, the odor of the patrons within assailed his senses as well, along with the ale spilled upon the floor from the constant cheering. As he moved within the room, he gauged the various patrons, pausing long enough to take several moments to assess the sparing match continued cheering on one combatant. Approaching the bar, he offered the woman’s words before letting out a small laugh trusting that his magical disguise of a half elf citizen had taken hold.

“A glass of wine, my da used to make jokes like that too. High class elf and all, queen of the tavern eh?”

Leaning against the bar he gestured to the bartender, “An ale for myself and my lady friend.” As he spoke, he would place a few coins on the bar while adding, “Looking for a friend as well might be with one of the ladies of the hour.” Sliding the paper slightly under the coins, while retaining it within his hand.

Male Elf Sorcerer/1

The elven noble took the offered message with a pleasant smile and a coin for the messenger. Upon reading the note Elisdrel’s expression became one of curiosity, “A new job?” It had been over a month since he had a task being the diplomatic face for a local merchant. Things had soured and he was almost out of coin. This change of luck something he needed.

With the note being his entry, the elf could only guess he was being hired by reputation rather than by face. The day was spent learning what he could about the tavern before creating a magical disguise when it was time to enter.
